Debbie....thinking about you and praying for you. You are never far from my mind or heart! I pray that God would touch you in a very special way today......
Thank you Elaine and patoo.....many hugs to you my sweet friends.
I'm not feeling well this morning......just very tired feeling and achy. Not sure why unless it is the weather changing and getting colder. Yesterday was so warm and stormy.....then today it is very chilly out there....so that may be why I feel this way.
Hope you all have a beautiful Sunday........

Genia- I know for me the weather plays a big role in how I feel. Worst is when there is a big weather change- I feel it for several days before it happens. I find that we often have the same weather as you have (only a few days later). It has not been a good weather week. I hope it is just that and nothing more serious, cause we now know you are Normal !!
I pray that everyone has a good day--- free from aches, nausea, pain, saddness. A day of quiet, comfort and healing.

Father, replace all of my pessimism with optimism, fearfulness
with hopefulness. As Jesus heal the man with the withered hand,
heal my withered attitude and feel me with hope, as well as a desire
to meet You in the midst of my pain and worry. In Jesus name, Amen

The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your needs
in parched places, and make your bones strong; and you
shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose
waters never fail. Isaiah 58:11 NVSV

Good morning, my sisters. I pray everyone had a peaceful weekend. This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
This is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith. --- 1 John 5:4

I ask for help, my mother (Ruth) had a colonoscopy today and a large polyp was found. It is possible that it is cancerous but we won't know until Thursday for biopsy results. Either way it will need to be removed. My Dad died in 11/07 so she is in the house alone, trying to go thru everyday motions while waiting. She is a strong woman, but I know she is worried about this.
Thank you my dear sisters.

He that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. --Hebrews 11:6
Lord God, our protector, our rock, we lift up Ruth to you and ask your protection for her. Dear Jesus we know that you and you alone are the master of all things and therefore we release into your hands this polyp. We pray that the tests will show it to be benign and that Ruth and Elaine will be able to rest comfortably in your mercy. In Jesus name I lift up this prayer, Amen.
The eternal God is thy refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms. -- Deut. 33:27

God be in my head and in my understanding;
God be in my eyes and in my looking;
God be my mouth and in my speaking;
God be my heart and in my thinking;
God by at my end and in my departing.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
the courage to change things I can;
The wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the path to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make things right if I
surrender to His will;
That I may may reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him;
Forever in the next Amen

Jo, Patoo- thank you for your prayers and kind words.
I apologize to the multiple posting but....I wanted many sisters offering prayers of faith, strength, support, etc. Mom has done so much for so many over the years.
Jo- so glad to hear that the vertigo is better, I am sure the pain in breasts is from too much lifting, packing, ironing etc. probably over working those chest and arm muscles! Are you leaving soon for your trip? Enjoy the rest and family time!

Never apologize for prayer EWB as the Lord commands us to pray without ceasing.
JO, happy for you that the vertigo is better. I know there is lots to do preparing for a vacation but try and take care of yourself occasionally as well. Have a great time.

Why are you downcast, O my soul?
Why so you disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God.
for I will yet praise him,
My Savior and My God.
Psalm 43:11 NIV

Each one of us needs to look after
the good people around us, Asking
ourselves, "How can I help?" That's
exactly what Jesus did. He didn't make
it easy for Himself by avoiding people's
troubles, But waded right in and helped
out. " I took on the troubles of the troubled"
is the way Scripture puts it. Romans 15:2-3, The Message

Praying for you all......you are in my heart forever!
I wish I could wiggle my nose and make it ALLLLL better.....but I can't. All I can do is pray for you.....the rest is up to our Father who created us and knows the hairs on our heads! Even the ones we lost during chemo.
Elaine....I truly hope your mother comes out on top of this monster and it isn't there.
Bless you all....and have a great day, or at least give it all you've got!!!

Father in heaven, Help me to have hope by surrounding me
with hopeful people, Help me not to receive any news as if it
were the last edition, but rather as one piece of information
afloat on a river of facts flowing into a hopeful future. Heal me,
I pray, not for my sake or anyone else's, But for Your sake. And
ground my hope and reality of Your profound and enduring love
for me and my desire for well-being. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen

I am getting my pet scan in the morning. I pray that the abraxane is working. I know God is. I was told in Jan if they did not find a chemo to help my mets to lungs I would not last 6 months. Well I am out to live long. God gives us desires of our hearts. Would be nice to get a great scan. God bless all of you my dear friends....

What God Promises
He doesn't promise sunny days;
just a rainbow at the end of the storm.
He doesn't promise silver and gold,
but provides for your needs.
He does not promise to make
your life trouble free,
Just to give you strength
to see things through.
He doesn't promise all the answers,
Just that He'll direct your path.
He doesn't promise you understanding,
But faith that will see you through.
He doesn't promise freedom
from despair,
Only joy in believing.
He doesn't promise that
you'll never fail,
Just that your strength and hope
will be renewed.
He doesn't promise
you'll have no fears,
But that He is always there.
Most of all, He promises
unconditional and everlasting
love. By Barbara Cage

Foots, how are you?
Susan - please let us know as soon as you get the results. We are claiming victory for you, in Jesus name - AMEN!

It is you who light my lamp;
the Lord, my God, lights up my darkness.
This God---His way is prefect;
the promise of the Lord is true;
He is a shield for all who take refuge in Him.
Psalm 18:28 NRSV

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do;
do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31
Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord. Pslam 31:24

The Lord answers prayer;
Sometimes 'yes'
Sometimes 'no'
Sometimes 'maybe'
Sometimes in ways we don't realize, don't recognize; but answered nonetheless.
In all cases, we thank you Lord because we know that all good things come through you.

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
And whose hope is the Lord.
For He shall be like a tree planted by the
waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river,
And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf
will be green, And will not be anxious in the year
of the drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit. Jeremiah 17: 7-8

You are a Special Person in Gods Eyes
On the day you were born....
God held the stars
Within His hands
And watched as they twinkled
and shined.
He tired to find two
of the best He observed,
But He couldn't quite make up
His mind.
Then suddenly two of them
danced in the air,
And the rest of them
took to the skies.
On the day you were born,
You were blessed with the stars
that were chosen
To shine in your eyes.
