Hi Spar.  I was thinking about you early this morning because I know this week has been very trying for you.  You have every right to feel like you are in a valley now.  But being in a valley sometimes makes one think about things and gives us a different perspective about life.  When I found this picture I thought of you because I wanted you to see the rainbow shining on top.  It's there waiting for you.  And I think it's waiting for me too.

Hello to all the ladies here who love the mountains.  It's a great place to be and let your mind drift away to other things.

Can I have a cup too?  I'm still climbing and occasionally reach a plateau to rest and reflect.  Emotionally and spiritually I'm in a good place now.  Nice to go into 2010 with positive vibes.

Foots, cookies were delicious but I think I ate too many as I ganed 2 lbs!  So I'm going to have to eat some carrots and celery with my tea.

Okay, I've been on this computer all day, stopping only to exercise and eat.  So, I'm going to sign off for tonight and sit and enjoy deborye's tea (I spooned some out of JO's cup!) and some fruit, and watch the sunset over the mountains.

    Night all.

As Jo and Patoo began to share their tea the pot trembled in Jo's hand , it was a strange feeling as if the pot had a small volcano in the bottom of the pot and the lid began to rumble too. The aroma was wonderful and as we began looking at one another more cookies dropped Right out of the trees and looked like gold drops coming from the rainbow. We all laughed with delight and found that we were very light on our feet- the more we drank and ate the lighter we felt and suddenly Spar shouted out "Look everyone, Look my foot is better!" and we all cheered with glee. Finally!, we can throw the wheelchair off the side of the mountain and make some real progress!

We decided that since it was only midday we would trek up the mountain for a while- always keeping our goal in mind, to reach the top and gaze over the beautiful valleys of rolling green hills and flowers. The little forest animals had appeared to tag along and it felt as if we could communicate with them- which was the influence of the Old white Owl hovering close to the now large group of human and woodland friends.

We climbed and climbed and found ourselves smelling the most fabulous smell coming from a near by mountain respite. Upon knocking we were told to enter and gazed upon a elderly kind woman in the sweetest Native dress and apron. As we entered she said " Welcome my children, I have been expecting you with great anticipation and have a healthy portion of homemade stew for each of you" there was also smell of fresh bread in the air and a bowl of fresh churned butter on the side board.

Surprised that she was expecting us prompted questions from more than one of the group and she patiently answered each question with a short story " I have been the chosen One to wait for and meet special women on the path to the top of the mountain" "Others, not in your group will not be capable of seeing me, nor will they smell the meal I have prepared as He knows you women have special needs and I am here to comfort you, offer you nutrition and reassure you that each and every one of you will reach the top of your mountain- each of you will gaze upon the Valleys of rolling green hills and wild flowers and each of you will hear the children play. Have confidence my children- just as the Old Owl  accompanies you and I waited for your arrival there will be others along your journey to help you- some will not be seen, but they will be there and will assist you when it is needed- Now you must rest and I will show you to your rooms." As we walked along a along hall, there was a room for each of us, and we were drawn to the room that seemed to be created for each of us alone. As we laid our head on our pillows we instantly fell asleep.

Upon awakening the next morning each of us remarked that we were more rested than we had been in months- some of us were more rested than we had been in years- we all looked for aged angelic care taker but she was no where to be found. The only remnants of her ever having been with us was a wonderful hot meal and a full tea pot.Instinctively we knew we were to eat our meal and move on up the mountain. We were not sad as we left as our hearts had been filled with pure joy.

What a beautiful story Melissa, thank you so much.  You have some talent and imagination there.

Patoo,  hahaha you only get carrots and celery with your tea

Me and footie get chocolate covered cheesecake with our tea.  Actually we will share.  My schoolgirl figure is long gone. LOL

deborye, I will have to get over to multiply and check stuff out, haven't been in a while.

Seyla, what beautiful rolling green mountains to throw my wheelchair off of.

Footie, are you in a wheelchair all the time?  If so girl I sure feel for you, these past months have driven me crazy and I don't have a ramp.  Hope you got your ramp all safe.  Please stay and have some chocolate or tea with all of our mountain friends including all the animals that are following us.

JO I love you girl, you have helped me so much.  You may be older but you certainly look younger.

All of us began to walk up the mountain with energy and a spring in our step, our bellies were full, we were relaxed and just enjoying the love of our sisters and talking about life itself.  When we looked behind us it was so funny we had goats, sheep, rabbints, squirrls, dogs, cats, just all kinds of animals following us just like the pipe piper with his flute.  They all came up to us wanting to be petted and then animal food started falling from the sky so we fed all the animals and they found a beautiful stream of cold clear water bubbling swiftly down the hill.  They drank their fill and we all took our shoes off and jumped and played in the water just like little kids.  Then we sat on the banks to let our feet dry, put our shoes back on and continued on our path. We kept wondering what we would see at the very top.

Patoo et. al. "The wise elderly woman left us with the feeling that we can accomplish ANYTHING!As we climbed the mountain - taking in big swings in our path to accommodate the steep elevation we discussed how confident we felt- Patoo wanted to ski, Spar and Melissa wanted to ice skate and thought skiing would be fun and we all took a break Again cookies and hot coco appeared- there was a pot of herbal tea and a few sticky buns too. Jo, Seyla and Foots made snow angels to entertain the rest of us. We snooped around as we were at a small level field and found that there was a supply of ski equipment stashed in a mountain hut. To our amazement the equipment fit each of us, and in our favorite colors too! We were once again astonished at the kindness of our mountain and all it held for us. I looked back to see a line of gleeful women skiing in wide swoops across the mountain side- one laughing louder than the next- each unbelievably skilled!

Everyone gathered together, cheeks blushed pink as the wind touched us softly skiing down the slopes.  We were laughing and just felt good, a wonderful feeling that sometimes hides from us.  We watched the sunset and realized we were surrounded by the mountain trees.  Protected as nightime was soon approaching.  nnn walked around gathering wood for the campfire.  The trees seemed to speak to her about the native women who so kindly provided a safe place.  A respite from the real world and it was wonderful.  She briefly thought of another native women she knew a while back, and it made her smile.

Spars animals were with us.  Now it was their turn to take care of us.  They surrounded the group and would stay awake and provide safety while we were getting ready to rest for the night.  Melissa and Deborye got the campfire going and we all warmed our hands.  No one was talking. It was very quiet and you could hear the night sounds of the forests.  The wolves were howling, but they we singing their song letting us know they were protecting us.  nnn decided to sit Indian style aside the campfire and the others followed.  Melissa was getting ready to tell another story and the excitement of others could be seen in the sparks from the fire.  Foots and Jo were looking about trying to find food and drink - it would be a surprise to all.  We looked up and the mountain seemed so high, but Patoo reminded us how far we had come along. Each day would take us further up the mountain and soon we would be looking down at the valley.  And we would think about all of our adventures we have had up to now, and what new adventures were ahead of us. Sleep came easy.

Just before we fell asleep we counldn't help but to notice the full blue moon- not as you and I know of a blue moon- the second full moon of a month, as we have to night- but a brilliant blue shine that reflected off of the snow and made almost as much light as the sun. We were clearly being guided and did not seem to mind. We slept easily.

Upon wakening it occurred to us to put the ski equipment away- back in the mountain hut as we had found it- for the next visitors', Once we were all in the hut we felt a presence and turned to see the kindly elderly woman who had cared  for us earlier in our journey. She was sitting on a small stool in her green and white striped dress- the stripes were a flower pattern and she had on an adorable apron with the sweetest embroidery around the edges- flowers, small wood animals and leaves scattered near the edge of her apron and on her sleeves. Her hair was in two braids which were swept up over the top of her scalp and the ends were curled. She had a radiant smile, a calming presence and a restful sole. A small grey kitten was curled up in her lap flipping his tail slowly. Our hostess, still quite and calm held her hand out  to direct us down a hallway reviled  by a doorway we had not observed previously. We all followed her invitation without fear............
