    Deborah:

Get a larger compresion garment, there is no reason to be miserable in it.   The only arm movement you'll need in Vegas is for pulling the one armed bandit!! :)  Don't worry, I'll come help you if need be...:)

Let's see what the fat graft does over time..I have a feeling you'll be just fine!  JUDY

Yvonne......so happy that you got your exchange........take it easy and rest......and be sure to use that stool softener.......enjoy your softness.......and speedy healing!

Deborah.........I will keep my fingers crossed that you end up happy with your results.......sorry about your discomfort......have you thought about using the pain meds and adding in senokot to avoid constipation?.........enjoy your time with your sister.

As for me.........remember I got my drain out on Friday.........well......everything seemed great......until Sunday morning........so I woke up early to get ready for my daughter's first communion........guess what I found.........wet pjs and cami.......you guessed it........that fully healed scar.........sprung a leak.........a tiny hole and seroma leakage continues.......went to see PS on Monday......more antibiotics.........and limited activity.........I can't believe it.........I really thought that all of this was behind me......I really want to start posting some good news......and am sorry to be such a downer........but you guys always make me feel so much better.......I really want to move on to my exchange in July........but that seems kinda touch and go right now.

Thanks for all your comments about my daughter.......she really is a mini me.......only much better looking........she had a great day and felt like a princess.......she gets to do it all again on June 3rd with the whole class.....she is looking forward to that!

    Thanks Vinogal

I was not sure that I wanted another surgery but when I would go all day without a bra I would feel some pulling in the girl so I thought something was not right so I told my PS that I would let him do the revision.  Don't know yet if it helped that pulling because I have not went without a bra for very long......I go back to see the doc on June 9th so I hope we will discuss nipps/areolas.....

Deborah- Im with KEW with the pool boy and umbrella drink thing!!!  That sounds like a plan!

Vinogal- that stinks!!!!  I am sorry you "wet the bed"  to have to be sidelined stinks!!  You are not a downer- we're all in this too- in varied degree's.  We get it!

KEW,YvonneB,Estepp, Annie and Val- I made the appt with the 2nd PS- told the girl I wanted to be anonymous but gave her my first name.  My boys were joking with my husband at the table that he will probably blow my cover- he said he was going to go by Don Corleon (the godfather! he was doing the accent and everything) we were cracking up!!! Anyway, I feel better now.  I do think my original PS will be OK with switching brands- so I will talk to both of them about that!  I am hoping I don't have to start from scratch since my pecs are already expanded- maybe it will be a matter of switching them out and waiting until it is time for my recon surgery???!!!!  OMG please tell me I won't have to start this all over again!  I don't think I can deal with 6 more saline injections!  It does feel good to have another opinion in on this though!!!  My hairdresser always asks the hairdresser next to her for her opinion on the color!  Maybe it should be the same with docs! :)

Thanks for all the encouragement.  The odd thing is I rented a condo in Daytona Beach for our family June 12th (thinking this would be a stress free time period for me!! That I would be done with saline and waiting for surgery!) Now I am going to be on the beach-either recovering from surgery or stressed out about surgery!!!  UGH! I deserved that stress free time.....

Somewhat new on this thread, so I haven't read all that has gone on, but figured you ladies could help me.

I had my expnder placed March3 2009.  Am through with fills and the ps can exchange anytime now.  Our family is outdoorsie, boating, swimming, beaching.  I am thinking of taking a late July exchange date, so I can have some fun before but yet recover and get nips, tattooing before my stupid insurance /deductible year ends.  I will also be having augmentation to the good side.

    Anything I am overlooking?

I hope all of you are doing well.

Hey Laura......no I didn't do rads.........I thought long and hard about it.......my cancer centre doesn't recommend rads for under 4+ nodes.......they will make an exception if you want them.......but I really didn't want them.........I feel at peace with that decision.....my largest margin was the one to the chest wall.......but I guess only time will tell.

    Cheers and hugs

OIC Jax.. I thought maybe that is why the skin is having so many issues...

I just know you made the right choice about rads for you!!! Sometime I really, really wish I would not have done them...eeekkkk...

Are you on Herceptin now? It make my joints all ache so. The doctors say it is not from Herceptin... whatever..hehe... also.. my weight gain from Herceptin I think.. YUK...

I wish there was some reason I keep having issues with my scar and seroma......I think it would be easier to deal with if I just knew why.

Yeah.....I'm doing Herceptin.......I don't think I am having any SEs from it.......except maybe slow hair growth.......and I would love to blame some weight on the herceptin.........is that really one of the SEs?.......no joint pain for me.......I will be doing Herceptin till beginning of November.......when will you be finished?

    Cheers and hugs

Mary Beth :  July sounds perfect.  It is best to wait at least two months after your last fill for the exchange and so the timing sounds just right.

Hi all: Oh Whippetmom, I am so sorry you are hurting!  I have to do fat grafts also, down the road to get my foob all filled out, and am glad to know re: the compression garments.  Can you go online and order one size up and then get if fedexed to you overnight?  Seems like the way to go if you are in pain.

    (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((xoxo))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))0!!!  Feel better soon!

I hope your sister coming will help alot!  I tihnk I have to go check out some pics ladies, Linda, can't wait, as you are my sister in lat flappery. :)

Take care all, heal fast, feel well, and  KEW, very, very well put.  I couldn't agree with you more.  The good part of BC (besides new boobs) is you tend not to take any crap from anyone at all anymore.  It's strengthening.

    xoxo

((((((((((((((Jax))))))))))))))))))))) Oh girlfriend how the heck are you still hanging in there?  I'd be a nut bucket by now!!!  I am hoping that my new incision heals better than the last one but the skin is so compromised that I'm more than a little worried too.  Hang in there Jax!
Jean - it sucks that you are dealing with your ex partner still.  I don't think you really need that stress!!

Deborah - I'm dealing with a restricted arm too as I kind of understand your pain!!! I only have one arm out of commission though so at least I can use my lefty.

Mary Beth, I think you are right to enjoy a bit of summer before you are recuperating from another surgery.  If you expander isn't driving you crazy that is.

Annie - Apparently Macy's has these compression garments and my sister and I can go there tomorrow.  In the meantime, I have some Spanx shorts, which every woman over 45 should own in case of emergency.  I use this when I have to slither into a form fitting evening dress.  Very rarely do I use it....but now I am putting it to good use.  It is just agony though to pull it down to use the bathroom.  The compression garments are made with trap doors!!  LOL.

    Hi ladies,

It has been some time since I stopped by.  My exchange surgery is set for July 13th.  I am very nervous, but will be happy to get rid of my expanders.  Tell me, will it feel so much better?  My PS is replacing them with hp mentor silicone gel.    Any advice would be helpful,

    Thanks,

    Elizabeth

Thank you Yvonne and Whippetmom.  I am not going crazy with the expander.  It is larger than my remaining breast, but not too obvious.  I didn't want to spend a lot of $ on clothes, prior to exchange, but did pick up a swimsuit that I look balanced in and some athletic tops.  I think I will look for a cute 2 piece, then that will be it.  I am getting pretty excited about the exchange.   Glad my fills are over- the last one really was painful.

    Hello ladies!

Yvonne.......YEAH.....so glad you got your new foob.....rest and take it easy, It is hard to let others step up and hand over control but I am sure your DH is wanting to take care of you.

Deborah.....I hope all settles in place for you to get the results you want.....OUCH.....pain meds are there for reason. You have nothing to prove.....you already are one of the bravest gals that I have ever known. Gentle hugs and prayers go out to you for healing and the results you are hoping for.

Karen....well said on the consumer issue.

Update on me....still having issues with healing in the inframammary  incision line...the same darn spot....GRRRRRRR.......this makes 4 times that area has opened. I am getting tired of going around looking lopsided.....can't wear any filling as it rubs against that area and burns. So my foobs in a box are remaining in the box....lol. Trying to keep positive about all this. See my PS again next week to see what to do next.

fast healing to all that had procedures this week.......Elaine

I am feeling so much better today!  Thank you for the lovely flowers Karen!!!

I saw my DH off on his trip up north this morning.  I can eat whatever I want for four whole days!!! Popcorn for dinner if I want!  The food police have left the building!!

Since then I have done a couple loads of laundry, in between watching my favorite design shows on TV and I started cleaning out the waterfall in the front yard, but I think I will have my sister help me tomorrow.  Yucky, blucky, mucky.

My breasts feel like I am lugging around two bags of wet cement.  Peg, Kathie, all of you girls who have had fat grafting - did you experience this feeling of heaviness?  It is not painful at all - just this odd, weighty feeling.

My sister will be here around 8 pm tonight from San Diego.  I am so excited!

Elaine, I am so sorry that this continues for you.  I hope your PS has some new ideas at your next appointment.  It must be so frustrating, but you are displaying a ton of grace.

Deborah--I hope they made you smile.  It sounds like you are doing too much, rest, and take your pain meds I received quite a lecture yesterday from the onc/gyn since I stopped taking my pain meds, she was po'd and told me to stay on them for several more weeks!  Apparently, my little four inch incision on the outside, hides as she describes, a hip bone to hip bone incision under my skin---oh, well I guess that's why it hurts.  Have fun eating WHATEVER! No pond cleaning, wait for sis.  I'm curious about your experience as I'll be doing it in November.  Heaviness is interesting.

Elaine - What is with these non-healing incisions!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Sending out healing vibes to you!

Karen- Yikes! No wonder you were hurting with an inside incision like that. I guess we really don't have a clue what has gone on when we are under hey?

Deborah - Enjoy your sister time and lay off the yard work!!!! You are supposed to be recovering!!  Don't make me come down there!! LOL
