    Hi

First I want to thank everyone for their honesty and sense of humor!  I have been reading since diagnosis in November!  I had BM on January 21 with TE.  Exchange date is April 20th!  I just wanted to introduce myself and at the same time THANK all of you for sharing.  I cannot imagine having survived the past 3 months without these posts.  Soft and gentle hugs to everyone!

Welcome DietCokeMom!  The folks here are truly amazing!  I have spent some pretty dark hours quietly reading one thread after another crying through expander pain I never imagined only to be comforted by the arms of all these other women who have gone before us and are willing to bare themselves and share their experiences so it might be easier for us.   Humbling!  Thank you all!!

oh ladies, I wanted to ask you all a favour, there is a chap on the alternative boards, he posted today that its his wifes 45th birthday, she isn't doing well, I am going to spare you all the details, but they have 3 little girls and have run out of money, he is desperate for a cure for her, my favour is that we send prayers their way, my heart broke when I read his post, I haven't been able to think of anything else all day - I know that here we have the power of prayer, we have seen it, so I am hoping that we can lift them up.

    thanks, Lorraine ox

so sad!  It makes me soooo mad this friggin disease! Why can't some of the damn research money go to families like this who have nothing left and don't know what to do!!

    Lorraine,

That is so sad.  I will be praying for this family.  Lots of sadness out there - we just found out a 34 year old coworker had a brain tumor removed (very aggressive cancer) this past weekend, and she is in a coma.  They give her less than a year to live.  Her husband is a mess - doesn't know what to do.  Her name is Michelle.  It was a tough day at work.

Add me to that list of people praying for this man and his family.  Not sure I know how to get to the alternatives board to read their story but I will try.  Breaks my heart to know how many people are hurt by this disease.  Someday there has to be a cure!

Ladyredlocks~~It's great fun to exchange grandchild stories--I've requested mine for the day on Friday--she had a day off kindergarten, so hopefully we can spend the day together.  She'll probably get me to make her those jammies I've been promising her.  We need to choose pattern and fabric for her Easter dress too, and maybe a matching handbag--she's such a girly-girl!  We saw The Nutcracker on stage in December, and she loved it!

I know everyone's hoping not to have tubes at their exchange, but I did have one, but just for three days.  After the mast I had two for weeks, and having them removed took my breath away, and not in a good way--I thought I might faint!  But this time, even having the tube removed was so easy I hardly noticed.

Best wishes to our Wednesday and Thursday girls!  And Carol, thanks for sharing your problem after lifting luggage-fair warning to all of us, even after three months of healing, we must be careful!

Thanks for the help, ladies, in finding Don's site.  It's so sad to hear the desperation in his voice.  You know it just puts things into perspective, doesn't it?  After dealing with all of this, what we used to think of as a big problem, just isn't anymore!!

Welcome DietCokeMom!!  I'm sort of a newbie here too and the support you'll find here is awesome!!

Ladyredlocks, I wore a button-front shirt, but my arm wasn't/isn't sore, so I could have worn something else. I have no drain, and I am so happy about that! Smile I am wearing a zip-front bra made out of the same material as the chest bandage I wore after the mastectomy, but it's not nearly as tight and uncomfortable, just snug.  I have to wear it 24/7 until I see my PS Monday. My prayers and best wishes go with you today.

Boy, I can't leave you ladies for an evening w/o so many posts that I will probably forget some.

Deborah - Your link was a hoot. That's what I feel like these days w/ 370 cc. I am going to a meeting today and plan to wear a tight sweater, tell me that I am nuts.

Carol - I am so sorry about the lifting problem. I hope you are on the mend!

Lorraine - You know that I am praying for Don and his family too. I agree, I am so touched these days by how many families are having to deal w/ much too much. Thanks for sharing.

Dietcokemom - Gotta love your name. Deborah sent me the update, you will be added to our list soon. Quite a growing list!

Diane - Thanks for the update.

Pinkylee, Hood and Patty - Best wishes tomorrow.

I think Ladyredlocks is pretty busy right now.

    Best wishes ladies!
