Deborah, I'm so sorry for the loss of your furry little family member, My kitty is like the daughter I never had...I say that cuz I have one son. But it's hard to lose an animal. They do become our family. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Northstar,  I wanted a C-cup so I kept trying on bras until I finally filled up a C bra.  That worked for me but might not for everyone,  I would definately go with HP....

Lexi,  I have a bi-lat LD recon. My previously rad side is not as mobile as the other side but it is soft.  No solution on the burning sensation, I only had discomfort with my exchange.

firstmate, Hate to hear about the drains.I had them at my exchange and now my PS is wanting to do a revision so I guess that means drains again  BUMMER    Praying for successful surgery and check in when you can.....

Sam1991,  Prayer for a successful surgery and quick recovery.....

Deborah,  So sorry about your kitty....Our pets are like family.  I still miss my beagle after 4 years!!!

    ((((hugs to all))))

OK, i can't remember who asked what now that I've read another entire PAGE of posts!LOL (Wow, this is a busy thread!) But just wanted to share my experience with implants/cup size/healing time.

OK, implants: I was expanded to 400cc and exchanged to Natrelle high profile 400cc implants -- so even exchange. Still ended up with some rippling, though (not too bad). I like the high profile because I definitely do not have hamburger buns. In fact, I'm really, really happy with how I look in clothes. Not quite so happy with how I look without, but hoping my new fipples help with that. We'll see.

Cup size: I have a wide rib cage (38 band size) but I'm thin (5'7", 135 lb). I was always a solid B cup and just wanted to be the same. The 400cc I'd say gives me a B cup, but not a really solid B. I can still wear most of my old bras with no extra room in them, but I find that I'm fastening them into a tighter hook  than I used to. I think the difference is that my implants aren't as wide as my real boobs were -- so maybe a little narrow for my chest. That's mainly why I'm not quite as happy with my appearance without clothes as with them.

Healing: I only took a week off work after my exchange surgery. My PS had me wear a snug sports bra for a couple weeks though, so it might have been different without that. Exchange was a piece of cake compared to the the bilat mx!

Hope that helps whoever asked -- sorry I can't keep straight who asked what! :)

Oh, and I said this on the October thread, but I have to say it again -- YAYYYYYY TRACEYYYYYY!!!!!!

Hello again, Thanks for the welcome.  I am happy to read that Tracey had a clear scan.  What a relief!  Drains again.....NO!!!!  I feel for you. I wonder if my sites will ever not hurt.  I had another fill today.  I have such pain with these expanders.  Is this normal?  There is one spot that is constant.  I remember reading something in my report that they cut something they were not supposed to and had to sew it up.  I will have to pull that report out again and reread it.  So now I am up to 550cc.  I am thinking maybe one more fill.  I want to be a D again and my bras fit now.  After reading what some of you have been through I really want to not be too small.  I so appreciate you sharing your stories.  I just don't know how much longer I can deal with this pain.  You can add me to the exchange list if you would like.  I imagine it would be in late April or May.  Thank you!

Deborah.....I am so sorry to hear about your kitty.Mine are my kids, as a wasn''t able to have children due to another cancer I had as a young women.I had one of my kitties for almost 20 years. Hope you can recover some of your pics from your computer.

Best of luck to all you recent exchangers this week. I will rant a little about how sore I have been after my exchanges....and one of the spots that had to be revised on my skin because of poor healing is at it again....with the draining and then the area has a small quarter sized hole that has kinda scabbed over. I am an ICU nurse and have been for 18yrs and can tell patients what to expect and answwer all their questions.....as long as it relates to heart disease/surgery. But I am at a loss about what to expect about all this......Boy have I learned a lot from you gals.....and am now going out of my comfort zone and learning all I can about this area of medicine. I guess I hadn't realized how specialized working as a nurse in just one area made me at a loss for info about breat disease and surgeries....hmmmmm, maybe I sense a career change in my area of nursing........good night.....you are all in my thoughts and prayers....Elaine

Skippyrcis  When I read what you wrote above, and I quote:

"I remember reading something in my report that they cut something they were not supposed to and had to sew it up. "

Please forgive me saying that I laughed out loud. I know you didn't mean to be funny, and my sense of humor must be twisted, but it sounds like a line straight out of "Medical Nightmares".

Truly I am sorry for your expander pain!

Deeds:  Would you like to add your anticipated exchange date to the list?  June or July perhaps?

Tracey:  What wonderful news.......excellent news!  Congratulations!

EVERYONE:  Thank you so much for your kind words about our cat Woos.  She was actually NOT a Woos.  She frightened the patootie out of every dog we ever had - outlived three of those dogs.  She was like having a resident drill sergeant - very vocal and telling everyone of us off all of the time.  She would wait for our dog to go out the dog door and then run over to the door and block it with her humongous body, leaving the poor dog stuck outside until we could come to his rescue.  She loved us though....we were her people.  We miss that little girl.

    Hi, Deborah,

I'm also so sorry to hear about your cat.  She sounds like a feisty soul, really devoted to you.   We had to have our cat of 19 years put down a year ago and it brought up any loss we'd experienced before--it was so sad.   I still can get teary when I think about his last day with us and how sweet and loving he was.    BUT--now we have our precious Maine Coon cat, Pippin, who is such a dear and, although he doesn't replace our Jonah, he is every bit as sweet in his own way.   We got him a week before my bilateral mastectomy and he helped me heal.   That's his picture you see with my username.

I love you all. Now off to do some work. Take care. - Jean

    Hi ladies

Wanted to post before I leave for the hospital. There was a huge water main break near the hospital. Thankfully it has not been affected.....i would have just been crushed. Kids are happy because all the city schools are closed. Even surrounding towns....so keeping my fingers crossed.

Arghhhh....been up since 6...I'm starving and want a huge cup of coffee.

Hopefully I can let you all know that things went well!!!

How cool to see my name on the list!  There is a light at the end of the tunnel.  Deeds, we all need to laugh, otherwise we would go nuts.  I tell my coworkers that I am really 12.... mentally.  I pulled my report.  It says that a repair was made in the muscle where a small incision had been made in the lateral aspect of  the pectoralis muscle which was repaired with a running suture.  This could be where I feel the pain.  I hope the fills don't bust my suture:) Hehe I typed bust.  See what I mean.  Moody, I enjoy reading your posts.  I want large bust too.  So I will suck it up and do more fills.  I have tried the measuring methods and I come up with a B, but I am filling up my D cup bras?????  I hope all the new exchanges go great.  I am excited for you.  Enjoy the Versed!!

Love and healing to every sister in surgery today for quick and speedy healing and good results.

Deborah: I am so very sorry to hear of your loss.  I adore my kitties, each one I have had and yes, of course, they are family.  I think of them as very special little fur angels, sent to  us for a short and treasured time.  You can never lose your kittie, they will always be with you.
