Deborah...mine have not bothered me either...pain wise.  But they sure don't shimmy very well...and that can be a problem when I'm teaching Zumba class!

Okay, glad to know that there is something wrong with the system.  I have logged off twice trying to get it to work right.

I too am having the cold boob feeling.  I thought it was in mymind.  Everything seems to be in my mind lately.  Been on one of the crying moods.

Tired of being broke and waiting for disability.

I still have not found the vegas link.

I agree with Sandy.  My projection is 5.2 cc  & filled with 752cc and I wished I had more projection.  They seem flat across the front.  It's odd ...like they just stop flat.  Maybe its the hamburger bun look everyone talks about.  They almost look football shaped.  The scar is so distracting so that might have something to do with the look.  I keep wanting them to be round...but I don't think so. Certainly not Va va & Voom.  More like Goodyear & Blimp.

Okay, well, I did sort of flash the valet in front of the Cheesecake Factory.  It was not intentional.  I had been having lunch with a friend and we had intended to go into the restroom so that I could show her my breasts, but then we left and were waiting for our cars outside when she said, "Oh Deborah -  you forgot to show me your expanders! "  It was pouring down rain and we did not want to run back into the restaurant.  We were the only ones under the valet canopy, so I lifted up my top and said, "SEE"!  The valet happened to come around the corner, just at that same moment.  Oh well.  I either made his day or I traumatized him for life.  I think it might have been the latter.

I wanted to say that projection can not always be achieved. My dear friend had a mastectomy and due to the amount of skin they had to take related to her nipple size she was unable to be expanded to the size she was prior to her mastectomy. So going bigger or trying to can be very painful and unachievable. Her incisions could not handle the fills and would open and become infected. It had nothing to do with a bad PS or bad care...her breast tissue was just too thin after her mastectomy.

I know exactly what you mean.  Nipple size and skin integrity have so much to do with the ability to have successful reconstruction.  I am so sorry that your friend has had this disappointment.  I hope she is doing well otherwise.

I just read through all these pages and enjoyed a few laughs!  You girls have such a great sense of humor -- and laughter is great medicine.  Update:  My husband is home from the hospital.  No answer for his symptoms, but plenty of good news - his heart is strong, his major organs are healthy, his brain is fine, his bloodwork was all good.  What can I say?  With all the prayers going up on his behalf - he came out of the hospital doing great!  His doc still has a few tests he wants to do - blood sugar is one, and another scope down his esophagus - but we are pretty confident that his future is healthy.  So we're going to take the good news and keep going forward.

My foob explosion last week (aka hematoma) is healing nicely - bruising and swelling are diminishing by degrees.  I'm SO excited for all of you going in for your exchanges - although I heard a little wistfulness from some about losing their wonderful TE's -- and I want to tell you that, setback and all, I LOVE MY NEW FOOBS!!!  Honestly, I like them better than my old ones, and I can't wait to go braless.  I wish every one of you facing exchange surgery great success.

Thanks to all of you incredible women for your support and prayers.  You are the best!

psalmist - So good to have you back and hear such good news about your husband.  Hallelujah!!!

I'm glad you are healing well after what actually would have been a foob implosion! Also good to hear you are so pleased with your new foobs.  My old boobs are just a distant memory and will be forever distant, now that I have managed to erase the photos of them from my computer's memory.  My husband is going to take my computer in to the Geek Squad at Best Buy to try to retrieve my photos.  I'm mortified at the thought, but what else can I do?  Hiring someone to come to the house to do this would be even more mortifying.

psalmist,   So glad everything seems to be good for your DH.  It is nice to know that everything is in good working order especially the brain HA  Also happy that you are happy with your boobs. Glad you are back on BC org......

Deborah, I know what you mean about someone working on your computer.  We had someone at our home recently do some work on our PC and I was standing over him praying that he would not run into my recon pics....

Rockwell, I have the Siltex medium height- contour profile expander 550ml, I have the catalog number 354-6214.  I found that they are Siltex Style 6200.  I looked at some sizes of implants and am disappointed to see that the projections are lower.  The projection of my TEs is 7.4cm.  My girls are out there and I like it.  If you have the time I would appreciate your thoughts.

My dog just limped by me.  I feel so bad for her.  She has a large toy ball that she has been chasing around for weeks.  It is one of those inflated balls for kids with a diameter of about 24".  She chases it all around the backyard.  I wonder if that is how she hurt herself.  She will let me move it all around and I have checked for something in her foot.  Poor baby!!

Good Gosh.. just got home from work and read todays exchange city...

Psalmist... I am so sorry for all that you and dh are taking in now... eeekkk. not good. Acid Reflux and anxiety attacks both can feel just like , or act like a heart attack. Just a little fyi... I hope you all stop having to go off to hospitals in emergency..SO SO SORRY!

Annie.. I sure wish you new... :(.. MAKE DH CALL!!!!! :):)

Lisasayers -Whippetmom -  Lisa and Deb... GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!!!!! Mucho prayer!

I started noticing my back burning this week. I asked my rads doc about this today. He said yes, it was burning too, as this was where the rads exited the body...ekkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

I had no real idea where all I was being radiated. I "thought" it was where the tumor was and my nodes under arm ( at least where they were)... NOPE...

I am being radiated from under my jaw bone.. all my nodes in neck... collar bone area.. entire chest wall... breast... side... armpit... EKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKk

I think I ignored all this when he told me... No WONDER this has been the craps on me... After chemo... Mast.. node removal...TE... fills.. then all this radiation... I really had no idea.

Anyway... now that I know... I will continue to fight like a girl!!!!

Ladies... I hope you all feel strong... Those who are not liking their new implant... your insurance should pay to get new ones... I have seen many women on here do that...

    Love to all !

    skippyrcis

So by looking at the chart your TE apox are 13.5 by 11.7 by 7.1 when filled to 550cc

To get the best projection you might want to go with the Natrelle 45 style

    600cc would be 12.8 by 6.1

    650cc would be 13.2 by 6.2

    700cc would be 13.5 by 6.4

if I remember right you have a small frame and a part of me would lean towards the 650cc if I were you

    maybe even the 600cc

     just editing this...

I just caught that your rib cage is only 28 inches so I'm now leaning towards the 600cc implants

Laura, ykes those are some mighty strong rads!!!!  Things have really changed a lot since I had rads 24 years ago.......I do not remember any burning on my back and I was marked to receive rads in the breast area, not anywhere else.....I am so sorry this is so rough but you are one tough young bird and you will fly right through these rads and be finished in no time......I have got to go to bed.  have a great weekend and try not to work soooo hard....(((((hugs for my sister))))))

Sandy - here is an easier link for dimensions of Allergan Natrelle implants.  I hate scrolling down through the PDF file on the Allergan website.  On this link, all of the styles are easy to access.

Yes, I know Laura.  I am going to have a huge bowl of strawberries and go to bed!  I thought I had an afternoon surgery, but I was called at 5 p.m. today to learn that I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 a.m.  It is only 8:30 and I know I will not get much sleep.  Oh well.  I'll sleep during surgery.

Nightey night dear sisters!!!!  I love you all!!!

Sandy~ Thank you for the PM's (btw, my bone scan came back fine...whooo).

What information should I use in determining what size I should tell my PS that I want ??  I am amazed that everyone knows so much about implants (I am grateful for any help).

I am another one who is jealous of nice soft boobs.  I just finished getting filled on Tuesday and they are just like ROCKS sitting on my chest.

Estepp: sorry the rads are so harsh, thinking of you getting through it.  I agree about fighting like a girl, love my fight like a girl pin--had it even before my breast cancer--it means even more to me now
