Thank you all for your answers!  I will make sure that I talk to the doctor about my nausa.  I threw up on the stretcher on the way to the room following my surgery.  I threw up for two days in the hospital.  I woke in the middle of the night with vomit all over my bed and couldn't reach the buzzer, so I am very afraid of that part.  I have become more excited about getting rid of the bullets, so that part is exciting.

Good luck to all who are getting ready for the next step.

Hi EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I had my exchange on Wed. Feb. 4th!!  I have to say I am quite sore as I had  a little more done to fill in a huge gap juat above my expanders. PS had to liposuction from underside by my underarm and belly.  So , I have to wear this horrible Binder for 7 days to keep everything in place. Of course I am all itchy and have a rash from the binder rubbing my arms.  I was so disapointed too because I was suppose to have Nips when I woke up!  But , I didn't. Dr. said things need to settle a little for the nips to look even. So I really haven't been able to enjoy my new foobs yet.  They do feel much softer than expanders, but, When I move a certain way they make a sloshing noise!  Anyone else have this?  Kind of sounds like a small FART {LOL} Great!  Now my foobs are farting! How embarresing! ANGELAD WE had exchange done same day!  I am so Happy for you.  Are your implants comfortable?  PINKYLEE, DIANNE< Your exchange is just around the corner, I am so excited for you.  To all of the TATA Sisters, I will be thinking of you all , Thank you for your thoughts, God Bless YOU ALL!!  I think this thread will be as popular as CONTINUED TISSUE EXPANDER PAIN!   Hugs, Jeanie

Jeanie tell us about your implants...are they saline or silicone and what style high profile or low ect...

I've heard of some ladies that got nips done at the time of there exchange and things shifted and nips weren't at the same area, so I think it's a good thing your PS waited but he should have shared that before surgery.

sorry your sore but getting lypo sounds like a bonus : - )

Hi ladies - I am about to go out of town on a little trip. My first real trip post surgery. I am a little uptight about all the hussle and bussle and someone bumping into me. But I am sure it will be fine. I am going to miss everyone until I get back. Take care and have a great week! - Jean

Hi, My PS picked out the implants, I asked him about the different types, but, he uses what he feels is right for the patient.  I only know it is NATRELLE Silicone filled.  I don't know what high or low profile really means.  I do know they look really good, very natural. MY DH is very happy and keeps telling me how GREAT I look.  I guess I'll never get sick of hearing him say that. He has been my ROCK through all of this.My PS did give me a ID card to have with information on the implants.  I am glad he waited to do my NIPS now that I've read some posts about waiting for the implants to settle.  What is a few more months, after all we've been through! I know he'll do a GREAT job with the tatooing too as he is an Artist on the side.  His whole office is filled with Beautiful pictures he has painted.  Gentle Hugs to all MY" TATA SISTERS " Jeanie

    Hi ladies...

I was curious, and I'm not sure if you'll be able to help.  I've had my expanders for a lot longer than most of you, 14 months to be exact.  I never had any trouble with pain at all, until a couple of days ago.  I've been getting twinges/spasms on one side. Did anyone else experience this?

Hoping that all of your exchanges go quickly and smoothly!

Hi there - I just couldn't stay away from all my friends. So I found a computer that I could log on to for a minute.

Jeanie - I am so psyched for you and love that your husband is enjoying the new you. My husband has been my rock as well. What would we do w/o those men of our's?

AZsunn -I can't help you. It seems odd that you would have pain after so much time. Perhaps you overdid something and strained a muscle or something? I really don't know. But let us know what you find out.

Sandy - Thanks for being there for all of us. We count on you and everyone else before us to help us understand what's going on.

    Take care ladies!

PinkyLee - I too am more anxious about the exchange surgery than I was the mast.  I am having mine the day after tomorrow - Feb 11 -  I only had a unilateral so my other side is getting a lift so I don't have one perky and one droopy :)  I think I'm more concerned about the lift side since the other side is numb anyway.  I hope you can get some good meds for the nausea.  BTW we are nearly neighbors.

Laura: Please feel better very soon, thinking of you!

Jeans: I'm sorry, never had this one, but someone who has will chime in soon.  It does take awhile til it feels like your own girl, I think it was about 2 months for me.  I'm 4 months out now, and I don't even notice anything anymore.

    Have a good trip Jean!

Estepp - so sorry you are sick ..is it the flu? There aught to be a moratorium that women dealing with BC are immune to all other diseases...wouldn't that be nice!

Jeans - so glad to hear about your progress. I am hoping that sometime this year my husband will be saying the same thing to me. I am a member in waiting of Exchange City...right now my boobs are  living in the suburbs!

    Monique,

You are right!  Where are you having your surgery?  PS me if you would like, I am now scheduled for the 26th at 7:00 am.  I will the doctor on the 18th to go over all my concerns.  I just want to look more normal.  It is hard having two numb square foobs!  I pray the exchange looks more normal.

Good luck on the 11th.  I pray you will have good results.

Jeansbeans - so happy for your results!  Laura, sorry you are sick - I hope you have some help and can just go to bed.  Monique - tomorrow is the big day!  Praying all goes well - and I'm so excited for you.

I meet with my PS tomorrow in advance of my surgery March 3rd.  He will probably go over the type of implant he plans to use and we'll talk about final size, etc.  YAY!  I'm so happy that my exchange is just around the corner.  I hate the idea of surgery again, but the thought of trading these hard coconuts for squishy boobs that actually move makes the surgery less of a downer.

Just a few more days and I can go bra shopping!  : )

So... I am fancinated. How many of us actually don't have numb chests?? I, for one, cannot feel anything but pressure. And I am about 2 months post surgery. I am curious about whether this will come back over time. So feel free to post and let us know whether you are numb too. Take care ladies! - Jean

mykidsmom! my foobs are numb, but they are tight and they hurt if that makes sense! But you mentioned pressure so I think thats what it is. I have noticed some sharp stabbingish pains recently, my ps says that its nerve endings regenerating, oh this is so much fun!! :)

Lorraine - I am all for the sharp stabbing pains if that means I will have feeling again. I think that is the most wierd part of all this. I am so glad that you are done w/ that darn infection and moving on.

Laura - It is so cool that you have feeling and that you were able to do nipple sparing. You deserve a break in all this. I am sorry about the pain you are dealing w/ now, it should improve (I would hope) as time passes from your last fill. How many cc are you anyhow? I am still at 320 cc, but may get a bit more next week.

OMG, got my 150ccs today.  I am up to 700.  I am sore but he said I need to go 800 to fit my "wide shoulders".  Not sure what that means, but I can't imagine.  So, I am going to have my exchange the first week of April.  I can do it in March, but the kids have spring break and we are going boating to Lake Havasue...I don't want to get in that water with new implants and new incisions, don't you think???  Puts me with the "Iron Maidens" for an extra two weeks, but I think it is the right choice.  I can't even put my arms down without these things getting in the way!  I think I need to name them - they have taken on a life of their own!

    Hi ladies!

Jean, I had no feeling until two months ago...my unilateral was done last december.  Suddenly had all kinds of pin prick feeling in the area of where my nip to be is and then got feeling back in my back.

It took awhile, but it did come back, it's not total, I would compare it to when novocaine wears off, almost feeling but not quite.  Dulled, I would put it.  but I can feel it again.

Laura, I've got a DD on one side that's hitting my hip at 53, and the new "stripper" version on the other side that is a very full C.  I am 5'2" and i look like one of those little boobie cartoons from Playboy.  That, or a very plump blow up doll from a porn shop.  Main problem is hauling the DD up to the level of the stripper foob.  It's a losing battle and I hope to get it resolved when I take evasive action from cancer and get that prophylactic mastectomy.  I don't have any issues with doing that at all, these ta tas were trying to kill me.  It's self defense.  And I just regard it as restuffing the couch cushions anyway.  Same couch.

I'm sorry it is hurting you, they can take some of that out and go more slowly.  You should feel pressure, but never pain like this!!  And you are a grandma???  How? (well I know how) but you look like a kid!  Hope I can be a grandma like you!

    love to all

    annie

oops. p.s. GG, no, you can't go in the water or swim at all til you're healed, he'll tell you when you get there, but that is a biggie.  Good thinking ahead on your part!

Annie... really.. the visual is killing me...LOL LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot or should I say... could not slow down on fills. I start RADS next week and you need to be 100% full prior to rads to do implants.. so... gals like me.. suffer in silence.. well.. I DON'T REALLY.. I am yelling about it pretty good!.....:)

I am not a kid... but a REALLY young Gma. Dh and I were married at 18 and had 2 kids by 23... our oldest son and his wife were married at 18-19 and have 2 kids by 22...LOL... at least our son just finished school and d-i-l is almost done.. she still has her student teaching to do. I think she is going to teach 2nd grade...

So.. yes... I am old enough to be a G-ma.. but am a really YOUNG one...hehe....

Annie - Hilarious!  I too have a mismatched pair.  God gave me moderate 34C's but now I have one 34 W (Wide) and one 34L (Long)!   My foob goes from part way under my armpit to way past the middle of my breast bone and my real one has gone long!  Oh the joys of dealing with this at 49!  I searched for a bra that will bring my ole girl back up to the level of my new one!  What a challenge.  In some ways I wish I had gone for a bilateral, at least they would match better.  I look fine in clothing but yikes...naked is a different story.  Thank God for my DH...we've been together for 33 years and at least he has seen me at my best and now hopefully at my worst.

Enjoy your grandbabies Laura even if you have to love them gently!  My poor granddaughter (3) had the misfortune to see my drain and still asks me to see my "drippy thing".  Poor little sweety can't understand why I have an owie and won't show her my bandaid!  Got to love those grandkids...who knew they were so much fun!

Annie:  Wow!  Could you get a picture of them for us and post it on the picture's forum?  Do a "before" and "after."

Laura:  Holy cow!  I thought you were going to stay at under 400 cc's!  No wonder you are in pain.  You are going to be as big as Moody!!!  You can quit the hair business and have a new career!  My last fill only added 25 cc's and still it was like taking it over the edge it was overfilling the expander by 25 cc's.  Did you "overfill" or is your expander a 425 or 450 cc fill size?  I also have felt more pain than I have with any other fill.  It is getting better, but I still have muscle spasms under the expander - ribcage pain.  I thought I was just too big, but DH seems to be pretty enamored with them so I'll keep 'em I guess.

Jean:  Are you going to start a tally at the end of your initial post to include all of our "exchange" surgery dates?  Mine is April 10th.  Thank you for starting this fun but also very helpful thread...

    Deborah
