WOW...lost internet service from the big storm here in Okie land.....and boy did I miss you ladies.
was so sad to hear of all the problems some of you are having....my prayers go out to you
I got thrown for a loop when yesterday afternoon went to see PS for what I thought was routine follow up from the sutures he put in last Fri when my seroma popped......well I am scheduled for surgery Wed 4/1 for revision of the skin/hole under right foob that never healed and he wants to replace the implant.....he said it was urgent as the implant could have been "comppromised " from the hole and the seroma..........was I ever shocked.
seems some of you have been dealing with some similiar things....did your PS ever mention
taking out your implant and "flushing " out the pocket?????
and my SO flies out to Germany tomorrow to see the Grandkids.....I won't let him cancell a non-refundable ticket......I got my sister to agree to come take me to hospital.....I will probably have to stay one to two days for IV abx.......
okay this is such a great bunch of gals...we need a break from all these complications......I so wanted to get on thread last night after I found out....I just wanted to connect to you

Oh Yvonne, I'm so sorry you're having healing problems! How frustrating that must be! I agree with Laura -- you ARE tough!!
And Laura -- woohooo on the 9 more rads!! You can do it!!!
Robin, you're not being selfish at all, sometimes we just hit our limits. Just remember you've been through a lot.
Marilyn, good luck with your negotations! You don't seem to be the type to be walked over, so I have no doubt you're going to get what you want.
Jax, glad you got good news from your PS -- crossing my fingers for quick and complete healing for you!
Tracey, woohoo for lying on the couch and watching tv all day! Glad to hear you're getting your rest and not out running another 5k!LOL

Boy, is it hard to keep up with everybody here! Lots going on.
Laura, I can't believe you're a grandmother, either! You look, in your pic, as though you're about 17. Care to share any of your anti-aging secrets? And that's great about the rads! You must be down to 8 by now.
Tracey, sounds like you are doing exactly the right thing--Nothing! Keep it up and feel better.
Yvonne, so sorry to hear about your trouble. Reconstruction really is a lot like the construction business--it takes a long time to erect a building, and foobs, too!
Elaine, I'm sorry you have to have another surgery, but it sounds like it's for the best. My PS told me the risk of infection, and compromise, is very high in the weeks just after surgery. I may wind up in the hospital, too, for a couple days of IV antibiotics. I'll know for sure, tomorrow. I have some redness on one boob that is fading, but not very quickly.
And everybody else, good luck with your surgeries and recoveries and waiting and healing.
I think of this group all the time!

Elaine.......I lost my expander due to seroma..........ps removed it because it had an "exposure" she called it.......sounds like the same thing.......she reinserted my TE just over 2 weeks later.....but it sounds like yours is going to reinsert during the same surgery........it suck losing an expander.........but I will keep my fingers crossed that this is just a small bump in the road for you!......Have you had your exchange already?........is this your expander or your implant?
Good morning to the rest of you ladies!
Cheers
Jax

Elaine---My thoughts and prayers are with you. Everything will go smoothly and I'm so glad your sister will be with you. If you lived anywhere near me, I'd come over and visit with you while you're SO is over in Germany.
My friend had the same issue as yours but with her TE. He removed it and washed the pocket with antibiotic solution. The redness went away pretty quickly after that. She has to wait 3 months before our PS will replace it again. She is NOT happy about that!!
Deep breaths and remember, you are not alone! You have your sisters, right here!!

Enough, enough already with these sisters and their seromas and complications! I am praying that a hedge of protection be placed around those breasts and let's see some resolution for these gals!!
Laura: We are all excited right along with you as we countdown to the end of your RADS tx!
Congrats to the sisters getting their exchanges and lifts on Friday - Playmysti and Bkokil....one more hurdle behind you!

BUST FIRMING BRA AT VICTORIA'S SECRET:
Has anyone heard of the "Bust Firming Bra" bra at VS? It is wireless - which is a good thing - and by virtue of its claim, whether plausible or not, must be supportive enough to be worthy of further investigation. It is touted to firm and enhance the appearance of the skin of the breast...It is here:
Has anyone further information on this bra?
think I am going to go check it out...I'll let you know what I find...

Hey Ladies,
Okay a close friend of mine needs your prayers!! I went with one of my best friends to her mammogram today. She had felt a lump. Well they ended up doing and ultrasound and the radiologist came in and told us that she is very concerned because the mass is solid and she has a node that is inflamed. So we go back in the morning for the biopsy. She also has nipple discharge. They said they will do a needle biopsy of the breast tissue as well as the node under her arm. So please lift her up in prayer.
Im doing pretty good. Sore but good. I go to the PS tomorrow for my post op apt. Hope everyone is doing good!!
Luv ya ladies!!

Elaine - I am so so sorry about the "flushing" out. My fingers and toes will be crossed for you and for fast healing. I agree, there are too many complications going on with our sisters!
Janet - Here's hoping you won't need antibiotics IV! More finger and toe crossing going on!
Rhonda - Yahoo! No more TE's. You must be thrilled!!!!
Deborah - I have not heard of the Burst Firming Bra - but it sounds like just what the doctor ordered! Did you get it!?!
Laura - A little issue!?! Oh my goodness? How did that happen!?! I am so praying for you my dear! You have had such a go of it lately. You need a break! I pray that the MD can replace it while you are in the OR. And fill it to where it was! Oh I am so very sorry!!!!!!!!
Tracey - I am glad that you are doing well. I am so sorry about your friend. I hate it when another sister has to go through all this. Please give her a hug from me. I have more toes and fingers crossed that all will be well for her!!!

Lorraine - Did you go on vacation? I was wondering where you were?
0 -
Lauar, you've got to be kidding. My PS assured me you could drive over these things with a truck and not manage to harm them. Guess I now know how accurate that was. I'm so sorry that happened to you.
Tracey, hope things go well for your friend, sending all the good thoughts her way that I can

mykidsmom! I did go out of town for 4 days, it was wonderful to get away after all the insantiy of the past 7 months! So hubby and I took a little trip! Plus so flippin busy with work, wedding season kicking in that I have had no time to log on! THEN this morning had 17 vials of blood taken for my hormone panel and Lord only knows what else, I think Vit D, Insulin, thyroid etc etc, I was there forever! and then they called me once I left and said my insurance wouldn't cover having the blood tests at that lab so I have to do them over! aaaaaahhhhh!!! having one of THOSE days! LOL!!

Oh my goodness, you will need a blood transfusion just to have the lab tests! We too took four days and went to Washington DC for a mini vacation and just to get away before my surgery. And I too have been getting very busy w/ my business, so I can relate on many accounts. But I DID NOT get 17 vials of blood! Take care. - Jean

Geez Laura.........I am keeping my fingers crossed for a positive outcome for you......please keep uo informed......that must have been awfully scary.
Tracey......tel your friend we are all pulling for her!
Lorraine......what a PIA.
I am running a fever today......keeping fingers crossed that this is unrelated to seroma and new stitches.......and to top it all off......aunt flow came to visit this morning for the 3rd time since chemo ended......and she is just as heavy as the first 2 times........Onc said it was normal fo it to be heavy for the first couple.......but jeez......I can't handle it this heavy all the time.......I soak through a super plus tampon and overnight pad in less than an hour.........this went on the last 2 times for 4 days........here's hoping she lightens up tomorrow.
Cheers to all!
