Sandy and Shelia... I see you are both hanging in there.. Sandy .. I pray for your job.. and Yvonne.. your dh's too... with finding something new...eeeekkkkk... my Hair Salon is slower than I have ever seen it too.. in 14 yrs... but still ok.

    For all who asked...thank you..:)

I have my LAST Radiation Monday! Thank God. I am tired of it all. I was even kinda "down" yesterday. I try NEVER to let my soul get messed up.. ya know. Yesterday was just a toughy.. but I do feel a slight pick me up today..

Sandy.. That is great news about your friend. I hope the beast stays away from her!

I am off to work... I have a real busy schedule.. which is good!

My hubby is playing ( his band) at an outdoor event tomorrow.. so I am taking the grandson to see PaPa play live... wahooooo... since it is outside.. I am not worried about his little ears.It should be fun!

Blessing to all this Easter Weekend! He is Risen!

    Love and hugs... Laura

    Yvonne,

Thanks for the prayers. My husband's Dad is a believer and that brings us a lot of comfort. I do worry about my DH dealing with all of this. To top it off, we are self employed and his business has really slowed down. I guess the whole country is feeling the pinch these days.

BTY, I think I better pray for YOU. You aren't hosting a family dinner, you are feeding a small congregation!

We have always done a lot of music during the Easter season. Though I have pulled back this year, my husband got the brass ensemble together (can't have Easter without brass!) and He is also singing a duet with another guy (Then Came The Morning) so it should be a joyous day!

Laura,  sorry you had a tough day yesterday. It's weird how some times the sadness seems to come out of nowhere and just hit us when we least expect it. Hope some fresh air and good "tunes" make tomorrow a better day.

Laura - I was thinking you were a little too quiet to be feeling yourself.  (((((((((((((((((((Laura))))))))))))))) You are just about done, just about done, just about done!!!!!  One more and then kick those rads to the corner!!!!  I'm going tell my Mom how you are doing when I see her on Easter Sunday.  She's being asking about you and feeling your pain! Thanks for the prayers for my poor DH, he is taking it pretty hard.  You know how men are...the hunter/gatherers!!  I think he will retire but that just scares the crap out of me.  He has such great medical/dental benefits that I will be very sad to see them go.  Enjoy the time with your grandbabies!  I plan to invite my little Sammy over to dye eggs so that will be fun.

Candi - Doesn't this economy just suck???  I don't understand how things can go bad so quickly.  Being self-employed would be very scary at times like this I'm sure.  Sounds like your Easter will be very joyous!  Just the way it should be!  I love the congregation comment....more like two congregations as my husband and I both came from different religious backgrounds but where brought up by very devote parents.  Different but with the same fundamental values.  We get the best of both worlds!!

Sandy - you better get out there and get some candy girlfriend!!!!  Can't do easter without those little mini chocolate eggs.  Do you guys have Cadbury mini eggs?  They are soooooo my weakness....

Hi ladies well I just took another peek

this time when I took my surgery bra off the gauze and foam came off that I could see everything

    I'm a little disappointed

I'm afraid if it shrinks it will be way shorter than my healthy nipple

she made my nipple wide but not very long

I just took a few pix

I'll see if I can get them posted

I guess a little numb is better than no numb at all

Just dropped in to catch up with all the news.....

Laura......good to hear you are done with the rads.....you are such a joyfol influence on this thread , was sorry to hear you got the "blues"......just remember that too is part of the healing process.

Yvonne......I wish I lived closer... I think I would sneak in to your dinner.....what is one more with that many??/...LOL Bless you and your family for  carrying out the tradition of LARGE family get togethers.....they make the best memories!!!!!

Jax.....question for you.....will the new nipple be most likely to shrink in width and then maybe the  projection/length might increase????? Hope it all works out the way you want. How is the seroma???

To everyone else who is having problems or bumps in the road to their progress....my prayers are with each and everyone of you.

I am off to the airport to pick up my SO......he has been gone for my whole last go around with surgery and having the right foob replaced......I wouldn't let him cancell a trip to Germany to see his daughter and the grandkids.......nonrefundable ticket....and I am a penny pincher....LOL.......I found another little hole under my right foob in the incision line.......kind of looks like three puncture marks from a stitch.....but it was leaking tiny bit serous drainage.......please let this darn thing heal up this time...........Happy Easter to all.....Elaine

SANDY and SHEILA, So glad you have your Nip surgery behind you{ actually in FRONT of you!Wink}. Sheila, Your Tummy will feel better in a few days, just take it easy! I  go back to the PS in 2 weeks for a decision on what to do with the NIPS that are left. Right now , only 1 nipple looks pretty bad, More than half of it is necrotic. As long as I have a little nip it'll be OK. CANDI: Glad your tests came back good , what a stressful time for you and your DH. Now you can plan your reconstruction,  Did you say second attempt?  What happened? My thoughts and prayers go to you , your DH and  YOUR FIL.   Welcome RED, YES, Go really slow with your fills.  If you go too fast you'll have pain.  It took me 7 weeks before I was comfortable enough to go back to work.  My final fill was 600cc's. Check the CONTINUED TISSUE EXPANDER PAIN thread, you'll see you aren't alone.  Have a good weekend everyone, Happy Easter!  Jeanie

I went to my PS this afternoon and got a lot of questions answered, such as what type of implant will he use??   He said that given my narrow chest and that I'd like as much projection as my expanders, he would choose Mentor high profile, which is what I had thought seemed good, too.

Now I'm worried about size.  He filled my expanders today to 385 in the right (radiated) side and 355 in the left.   I'd like to be a B cup size.  Has anyone had about this amount of fill and then the Mentor high profile implants?    What cup size did you turn out to be?

I guess I'm wondering if I should ask him to fill them a little more.   Thanks for your help.

I am with Linda - Can't post too much but just did a catch up on all the posts. Hugs to all that are healing and hurting and going through worries. And I totally relate to money worries. I lost my job in December and am just getting my own business started back up. Lots of work, but no money yet. We are trying to hang in there! My thoughts and prayers are with you all!

Laura - Yahoo for being so close to being done w/ rad's.

Baxter - My heart goes out to you. What a day you had. I am glad that all is well. We will be having surgery the same day. Take care.

Love to you all and Happy Easter!

CANDI - So glad you're OK! So sorry about your FIL! I'll keep him in my prayers. BTW, I love Easter brass!

SHEILA - I'm doing good; thanks for asking. The infection has gone the way of the dinosaurs, thank heaven, and I'm starting to really like my gummy bears. Hope you are still taking those pain meds!

YVONNE - Wow! You are certainly doing your part to end world hunger! Impressive! Sorry to hear about your DH's job. These are indeed tough times.

SANDY - Did you get your Easter candy yet?

CHRISTIC & NGCM05 - How did the exchange go? Good, I hope.

LAURA - The last of the rads. That is {{{{{{{{{{{FANTASTICO}}}}}}}}}}!!!!!!

ELAINE - Glad your SO is safely returned. I'm also sending healing vibes in your direction!

EVERYBODY - Happy Easter! Have a great one!

reminder to all you need to take the stool softener more than just 1 dose.  I took 1 the other day after seeing someone make a comment about it but forgot to after that.  I'm hoping to go today with no pain meds and see how it goes.

Just a little while ago I submitted my application for team Athena (that Grand Canyon trip).  I'll let you all know what I hear from Robyn and the group.

No candy yet but I'm sure my mom & dad will have some that I can get a little there

Hello darlings....have my kid home from college so just wanted to say happy easter and passover to all and good times ahead, girls...........

Ta Ta Tinys............Oh god, I love this. We may be tiny, but pocket venuses, as my PS says....

towering Ta Tas........wonderful!!!  I have a vision of ginormous hooters, towering over the skyline...hm, not a bad thing.

Tracey:  Saved you for the last.  Dear heart, you will be the personal motivation your friend needs to see right in front of her, the triumphant ending embodied in you, to her heartache right now.  I believe god sent you this trial, so that you could help her thru it.  There are never any coincidences in life.  What better motivation could she have, than a buddy whom she helped thru this, helping her.  I know she will be AOK.  And next year, she can join in the Ta Ta reunion.    You tell her from me: tell that cancer crap not to even start with her; she will take it down.  Period.  God bless you for your strength and goodness to your friend, Naomi.

We are one tough bunch of warrior princesses...valkyries.

and as the beautiful indian quote goes: "All women are princesses....it is our right."

Sending strength, love, healing and beautiful easter/passover thoughts.

p.s.Yvonne: it's from chemo.  They told me I would not heal until at least 6 months after I stopped it.  That is why they don't want you to do anything else invasive for at least that long.  Or so I was told.  I had to get a root canal crammed into two weeks, including the crown on top, as I was beginning chemo.  Nothing healed at all, no progress until I was 6 months out from it.  Then suddenly, voila!  Overnight.  And the foob did not make progress either, until 5 months out from chemo, then it too, dropped into the pocket, looked boobielike, and it continued on.  I hope this helps?

    love to all of you.

Anne (a Ta Ta Tiny, but a Jack Russell attitude.)

    Hey Ladies,

Thanks for all your prayers for my FIL. His wife has been very resistant to him getting any treatment...it's a long miserable history with his wife and without sounding too hateful....we don't believe she has my FIL's best interests at heart and this has made it very stressful for my DH.

Yvonne - Don't worry about dinner, I heard McDonald's is offering a nice McLamb sandwich for Easter! I got sick on "peeps" as a kid and now I can't look one in the beak without turning green!

Sandy - Thanks for the good words. I think you look great. My husband is a photographer and I should have him post some pictures....when I have something to show that is!  BTW, the cool whip container gives a  whole new meaning to the word "milkmaid!"

Jeanine - Yes, this is my second attempt. I have been so nervous about this, I'm scared to death to go through it again.....I wish you were here...I think I need someone to just slap me and tell me to snap out of it!

Jean - Yippeee--surgery sisters - I wish we could be exchange sisters too. If my December surgery had worked I would probably have my nips behind me by now.... That just gave me a strange mental picture!

Janet - Thanks for the good wishes. Easter brass always sounds like what heaven's music will be like. I'm a soprano and though I'm not singing right now, I love hitting those Easter high notes.

Have a blessed day tomorrow everyone!

Thanks, Laura, maybe I should change my name??    Northstore is kinda cute.  Yes they showed me the Mentor HP and they were very soft and I liked their shape.  A friend of mine at the hosptial, a nurse, is the one that orders for them!!   I may talk to her, too, to find out what she thinks.   She may be on my surgical team--she was for my mastectomy--that was really nice.    Last thing I saw was her face saying "You're going to be just fine..."   Mary Lou
