My favorite childhood memory is when summer came we would drive all the way from the East Coast to Northwestern Wisconsin where I am originally from to spend three weeks with the family we have there. No trip was ever complete without making a stop at the cemetary where my dad is buried so his baby girl could say hi and that I missed him.

My favorite childhood memory is going upstate to a small lake. We would stay in a cabin that was up a hill from the lake. Almost every morning I would pick blueberries for my cereal. I learned to play pool while listening to popular songs on the jukebox. The kids there were great, local kids and other kids on vacation. One year, when I was around 10years old a bunch of us decided to swim out to the raft in the middle of the lake without our life preservers. I was the youngest in the group, the others being at most 2yrs older then me. Well, we all started out swimming and before I knew it I was the only one that continued the whole way. So, I don't know if they tricked me or not but I made it out to the raft. Then my parents realized what I did, I could see they were upset and I grew scared to swim back, so my Dad rowed out to rescue me. I definitely remember being embarrassed about not swimming back to shore but I also remember feeling proud that I least made out to the raft.
