For the third day of the Divine Mercy novena, Christ asked Saint Faustina to pray the following prayer for the sake of all the faithful. She recorded the following words of Our Lord in her diary: "Today bring to Me all Devout and Faithful Souls, and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. These souls brought me consolation on the Way of the Cross. They were a drop of consolation in the midst of an ocean of bitterness."

Prayer for the Third Day of the Divine Mercy Novena

Most Merciful Jesus, from the treasury of Your mercy, You impart Your graces in great abundance to each and all. Receive us into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart and never let us escape from It. We beg this grace of You by that most wondrous love for the heavenly Father with which Your Heart burns so fiercely.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon faithful souls, as upon the inheritance of Your Son. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, grant them Your blessing and surround them with Your constant protection. Thus may they never fail in love or lose the treasure of the holy faith, but rather, with all the hosts of Angels and Saints, may they glorify Your boundless mercy for endless ages. Amen.

I pray for God's will to be done and also for it to be clear to us. For us to know which way is the right way, which is the good thing for us and Him. I pray for peace for all of us and our families, peace in our hearts and minds and souls. I pray that today and this week God chooses several people to touch and unequivocally lets them know they will be healthy!

God thank you for your goodness and love. Thank you for all the laughter and light you have given us.

In the name of Your son, our Lord Jesus Christ I pray these things. Amen.

Most compassionate Jesus, You are the Light of the whole world. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who do not believe in God and of those who as yet do not know You. Let the rays of Your grace enlighten them that they, too, together with us, may extol Your wonderful mercy; and do not let them escape from the abode which is Your Most Compassionate Heart.

Yes Shelia better & learning to let go more. It has been very tramatic the last 10 months especially the last few. After several moves I am renting a nice house with a couple acres for the kids, still working 2 jobs I would NEVER have thought we could have gotten to this point & I owe so much to all here & God of course for the strength & support, seems that something was happening every couple days to disrupt us & the stress was sickening me....it is in the laws(they finally believe me) & Gods hands. I let him jerk my chain too long.  I am grateful to be able to say 'was' (really bad) instead of is all the timeSmile. It is not all over yet but I pray daily & try enjoy what I have right now ( my family ) cause I just can not let the rest bother me anymore, It is so toxic! Now even the dandelions smell sweet. So all I can say is just for today I am not going to dwell on the badness but rather just be grateful for everything else. My prayers are with each of you.

    (( all))

    XO

Thank you all for your prayers.

God's blessings to you all!  I'm sorry I've been away.  You'd think with losing the commute, I'd have more time to post, but I've been trying to exercise more, spend quality time with Skip and just chill out after work.

Thank you for including me in your novena intentions!  Yes, it appears that after 3 years, my profession in Ordo Franciscanus Sæcularis (new title of what used to be Secular Franciscan Order).  I'm pretty excited.  I will be professed at St. Mary's in Fredericksburg.

Mary (mnmom)?... you sound like you're in a spot where I was back in the 1990s when I was going through separation and divorce from my alcoholic husband.  Scary times, but you know what, YOU and your children will come through this stronger than ever.  You will look back in years to come and be amazed how the Holy Spirit helped you through it.  Keep walking the walk, lady.

Tink!  I had my eyes examined this year and she said I was forming cataracts already!  I know they run in my family but usually in their 60s or 70s.  I'm in my 50s!  I was not happy about that and talked to my onc.  She said it's a rare side effect of Tamoxifen.  I half believe her but am still on it.  I'd be interested to hear what your doctors say.  I can't remember if you and I have the same onc or not.  Denduluri?

    Pax et bonum!

She recorded the following words of Our Lord in her diary: "Today bring to Me the Souls of those who have separated themselves from My Church, and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. During My bitter Passion they tore at My Body and Heart, that is, My Church. As they return to unity with the Church My wounds heal and in this way they alleviate My Passion."

Prayer for the Fifth Day of the Divine Mercy Novena

Most Merciful Jesus, Goodness Itself, You do not refuse light to those who seek it of You. Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart the souls of those who have separated themselves from Your Church. Draw them by Your light into the unity of the Church, and do not let them escape from the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart; but bring it about that they, too, come to glorify the generosity of Your mercy.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon the souls of those who have separated themselves from Your Son's Church, who have squandered Your blessings and misused Your graces by obstinately persisting in their errors. Do not look upon their errors, but upon the love of Your own Son and upon His bitter Passion, which He underwent for their sake, since they, too, are enclosed in His Most Compassionate Heart. Bring it about that they also may glorify Your great mercy for endless ages. Amen.

For the sixth day of the Divine Mercy novena, Christ asked Saint Faustina to pray the following prayer for the sake of all little children and the meek and humble. She recorded the following words of Our Lord in her diary: "Today bring to Me the Meek and Humble Souls and the Souls of Little Children, and immerse them in My mercy. These souls most closely resemble My Heart. They strengthened Me during My bitter agony. I saw them as earthly Angels, who will keep vigil at My altars. I pour out upon them whole torrents of grace. I favor humble souls with My confidence."

Prayer for the Sixth Day of the Divine Mercy Novena

Most Merciful Jesus, You yourself have said, "Learn from Me for I am meek and humble of heart." Receive into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart all meek and humble souls and the souls of little children. These souls send all heaven into ecstasy and they are the heavenly Father's favorites. They are a sweet-smelling bouquet before the throne of God; God Himself takes delight in their fragrance. These souls have a permanent abode in Your Most Compassionate Heart, O Jesus, and they unceasingly sing out a hymn of love and mercy.

Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon meek souls, upon humble souls, and upon little children who are enfolded in the abode which is the Most Compassionate Heart of Jesus. These souls bear the closest resemblance to Your Son. Their fragrance rises from the earth and reaches Your very throne. Father of mercy and of all goodness, I beg You by the love You bear these souls and by the delight You take in them: Bless the whole world, that all souls together may sing out the praises of Your mercy for endless ages. Amen.

Sas just got your message regarding the novena. I live a short distance from the Devine Mercy Chapel in Stockbridge, Ma. and often go at 3:00 in the afternoon for the Devine Mercy Chaplet. It is said every day at 3:00. Also if anyone is home EWTN has it also which is filmed right there in Stockbridge Chapel, and can give you a glimpse of how beautiful it is. The Chapel is set in the hills of the Berkshires and I often just walk the grounds and do the Stations of the Cross. This Chapel is only 1 of 2 in the whole world and I am so grateful I have it right in my back yard. I will keep all of you in prayer. FOR THE SAKE OF HIS SORROWFUL PASSION HAVE MERCY ON US AND ON THE WHOLE WORLD. Remember the hour of 3:00 is the hour of HIS DEVINE MERCY Our prayers lifted up at that hour are most powerful. BLESS ALL OF YOU, how blessed we are to have our faith.

Noni - my brother went to pre-seminary up there back in the late 60s (Marian Minor Seminary) ... he never became a priest and I think he regreted that to his dying day.  But his life was not lived in vain - he helped many, many people and was a good man.

Tink - thanks!  I will be interested in hearing what she has to say, especially after I fussed with her about it.  Hmmm... I wonder when my 6 month appt is.

Sheila - Skip has been professed since 1993 or 1992.  Long before we were married.  I was still married to my first unfortunate choice and he was still married to his first unfortunate choice.  Praise to be God that we are given second chances in life!  (Or more!)  Yes, I agree with what you said about our "helpful meds."

Ellie - I loved that little poem. :-)

You know, I started to veil during Mass at Lent as my personal sign to God that I, like Mary, am the handmaid of the Lord, be it done to me according to your Word.  At first, I felt a bit awkward since no one else veils!  But I kept in mind that I was not doing this for any other reason than for my personal relationship with my Lord.  After Lent, I decided to continue veiling.  I have had such profound insights into my spiritual, marital, family relationships.  As I kneel praying, especially after receiving the Blessed Sacrament, the veil falls to either side of my face so that I am enclosed with Jesus.  Just our special, sweet time together.  Distractions are almost all but gone. In my OFS class this month, we were learning about Peace and what that really is.  Peace isn't being free from sorrow, pain, sickness, etc.  St. Augustine explained that peace is the tranquility of order ... if you don't have that tranquility of order, you won't have peace.  You won't give peace unless you have it yourself.  Order is our proper relationship with God.  Order is our proper relationship with our spouse, our children, our community, etc. I thought back to the old saying "cleanliness is next to godliness!!"  LOL!!  and it's true, at least for me.  If my house is in chaos, I'm all flustered. But deep down, when meditating on "tranquilty of order", you begin to recognize times in your day when that order is displaced.  And when you recognize it, you can bring it back to its proper order, because you are at peace with it.

God bless .... thank you for allowing me to share!!

noni----you are blessed to have it so close. Where is the other one-curiosity>

If we get all our intentions together on one page would you drop them off at the chapel on the last day. That would be miraculous for us. Multiple times we have been blessed with sisters that have been close or making pilmagraes to Basilica's, Stines, now you at the chapel.. Like Sagina in San Antonio, Racy in Australia, Kay in Philly. This to me of course has been guided. Pax and Thanks.
