Happy Pentecost!
Now, we would like to close the novena with our final prayer.
Let us pray...
Dear Lord Jesus, I have specific requests that may only partially fill the infinite needs and desires that are in my heart. I ask that You answer me not only for those requests but also for a greater reliance on You to satisfy the needs and desires that You have given me.
Please grant the prayers of all those who prayed this novena with me. Bless them with Your love and make them holy!
May I seek You with a sincere heart knowing that it will profit me nothing if I gain the whole world yet lose my soul.
So, help me to see Your good and gracious purpose in all my trials. Help me to see Your blessings in every day and help me to love You more.
Thank You for everything, Lord Jesus!
Amen.

Amen- Redwolf
FeelingFeline - will be praying for good CT report for your hubby.
I was raised on the northeast coast of England wbere the Vikings captured the little fishing towns there and many other places way back. There are still many families w/toe haired kids , descendants of the Danes there and some language still used that dates back to those very barbaric times. Thank God christianity came along and changed things . I pray that a re- kindling of faith happens soon there as I do in the US also.

The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is celebrated 19 days after Pentecost, so we start praying the novena in one week, on Wednesday, June 18th!
For this novena, we will reflect on Jesus' love for all of us. We will pray for our hearts to be conformed to His Sacred Heart.

Praise God. Good news for our family. My husband Jamie's bone scan is clear. We are only dealing with a single aggressive grade tumour. By comparison with what could be this is fantastic. Thank you God. Thank you all for your prayers. I definitely felt the benefit of the Pentecost Novena. XXX Susanna

Susanna- Praise the Lord, he does hear all those prayers. I prayed along w/ the Novena also. We must keep it up, medicine has only some of the answers. We know the truth. God Bless.

Ronnie -Kay ,I am awaiting update from my friend and worried that no news maybe not good- I'll keep praying. So glad I get to say the Novena every day w/you all.
On a happier note God works in myterious ways , as I knew I must keep my faith alive even thru better times. I went to Sam's Club today on a spur of the moment and behold a group of local nuns were out front selling religious items ( got a new rosary) Some of them live near me and I was chatting about my recent events. They were amazed too. I also S/ W my MO by phone and he said he would give me a referral to see a lung specialist if I wanted to rule out other ailments but thinks BC is stable right now. He re -assured me that it best to wait and see if my shoulder and arm pain returns. I decided that I would give the nuns my outdoor Christmas Nativity set as it has been too much for me hoisting if of storage to out up the last year ir so. They had been wanting one and were delighted.

Grammy R, what an uplifting story about the nuns. Do you know what order they are with and where their convent is? I am in the north Sound. Thanks.--Corky

Oh Rene... I went to Sam's Club on the spur of the moment as well yesterday, on the way from pt to dinner at our daughter's house. I saw the nuns there and was in such a hurry I walked right by. I need to slow down, realize the working of God before me, quite possibly we would have met! Praise God for such good news that keeps flowing! I'm praying your new Mama friend is well. Amen...and a blessed weekend.

A beautiful Corpus Christi celebration at our cathedral yesterday. Our priest has the most wonderful way about him...I would say a very Christ-like man....not all priests are the same, and the homily was quite beautiful. I was happy to pray for our priests, as the Novena asked. Hope you all have a blessed week!

Penny- Amen
Ronnie-Kay. Our service was good too. Our current priest of 15 years leaves for Kirland area at the end of the week. The new priest is coming down from Vancouer, BC. It will be interesting to see if the congregation stays the same. We had fewer people on this past Sunday for some reason. Probably people gone on vacation. Hoping you have an uneventful chemo week. Hugs.

Penny, God bless you and I hope you will have a good cycle, stay well.
Life proceeding at breakneck speed here - need to hit the Pause button...my husband Jamie goes in to hosp Fri for pre - op checks, actual surgery will be on Wednesday next. We met the surgeon 2 days ago, a very personable and articulate man. The surgery will be robot assisted - real cutting edge stuff (pun intended).
We have a bit of an anxious wait as his MRI revealed 2 enlarged lymph nodes in his pelvis, which if positive would be considered metastatic in Prostate staging, obviously bad news IF positive, but there can be other causes. The team will take out the nodes at the surgery. We will know for sure either the Friday or Monday after surgery. Our daughter is so used to cancer from my treatment that she is not a bit worried about her Dad, so that's good. She is 8.
Unbelievably the cat that joined our household in May has had a lump removed from his neck 10 days ago. (Vet thinks it's benign). Was pretty big. At this stage I was beginning to wonder about our proximity to the mobile phone mast.....we have one within view of the back of our house
Meantime I had a job interview on Monday (Halleluia) and have been told I will have a second interview at a time and date to be confirmed, so it is all go! I stepped down from a full time job to stay home with our daughter and was about to return to work when I got BC dx. I now have a YAWNING gap on my CV, which I have been filling by up-skilling (rhyme intended) ever since finishing rads. It's perfectly amazing that ANYONE would want to interview me - but this position actually needs someone with my past career experience (mostly administrative) AND my current digital-dynamo skill set - something of a miracle as these two things don't always go hand in hand.
So I have been praying the Sacred Heart Novena with all this in mind. Oh Sacred Heart of Jesus I place all my trust in Thee.
RENE - what a beautiful circumstance about meeting the nuns who needed a nativity scene - perfect.
Love to all XXX
