Thank you so much. I really can't express just how much I appreciate your prayer. It helps me not to get discouraged. There is so mich to be hopeful about.

I am looking forward to my annual retreat, too, which will happen over New Year. You will all be in my prayers.

FF, the O Antiphons are just about my favourite part of the liturgy. I LOVE them. They make me love praying the Liturgy of Hours even more than I already do. And 'O Come, O Come Emmanuel' is my favourite Advent hymn!

Thank you. I had been reading the liturgy of the hours in apps, but it is so much better to listen and read along. Just a bit of a search, and I got it.

There used to be a great website called "Divine Office", where you could listen to Morning and Evening prayer, but I think they had a problem with copyright and so their audio was affected. I used to use it often before I entered the convent.

I do like to use the Laudate app when I am praying the Rosary on my own. Having another voice tends to help me focus 😊

O Come O Come Emmanuel (or Veni Veni Emmanuel) is also my favourite. It is so clear and so full of longing. Heart

I have Universalis, Laudate, and four others which are just the Rosary, three of them have audio. I like the stories of the saints in Laudate, but it sometimes works slow in the morning, so I got Universalis, which has variety in the Liturgy of the hours. I also have iMissal, which I have had for ages. I prefer using a Rosary app, because my mind will not allow me to pray from memory for that long at a time. Good to remember things that should get done, but I need to have a postit beside me to take notes of those things which come to mind while I am praying.

I get my port today, got four hours of sleep last night. Hopefully I will be tired and dopey enough to sleep well tonight.

    MCBaker,

Praying that your port placement goes well. I love my port and still have it, three years after my last Herceptin. I had Taxol + Herceptin, too.

He poked around on the left shoulder but couldn't get into the vein. So he did it on the right. So I have numb spots on both shoulders. I was told to report to surgery immediately after patient education. They put me on a gurney, took some blood, inserted an IV to hydrate me, and I got my kindle out and listened to music. Napped a bit. I think they wanted me to behave myself. I take a look at 3mm invasive, and 10% chance of reoccurrence and say no. Then I look at HER2+ and say no choice. If it were to come back it would do so with a vengeance.

Dear Sisters in Christ, I cannot send a Christmas card to each of you but I am thinking of you and it occurred to me to take a new step (for me) and put something up on You Tube as a Christmas Greeting. It is published under my own name but comments are disabled as there are some crazies out there. This is for all of you.

No abscess or fluid found! It is most likely inflamed scar tissue, according to my doc. My other fibroadenomas (at least, those in my left breast) are all pretty stable, a couple only larger by a few mm. Cold packs and meds for me!

Thank you all so much for your prayers; they mean the world to me.

Thank you! I was a little concerned reading the report as they found one growth has increased by 5mm in two months...while on previous scans that sort of growth rate had occurred over years. After my phyllodes maybe I'm a little more nervy about stuff growing. And maybe that's not so fast. Certainly not as fast as my phyllodes! The doctors didn't see it as a concern, so I will not!

I have some catching up to do on here Happybut I wanted to quickly jump on and share a link to a website I found that offers saint/spiritual warrior accessories. I thought this St. Agatha tote was beautiful!

St. Zelie Martin is also a patron of those who suffer from breast cancer, if one wishes to ask a more modern saint for intercession. Her daughters' devotion sweetens the tragedy of an early death of a mother.

Sparrowhawk -- happy to see that you're doing OK!

    Thanks for the video, feelingfeline.

I'm visiting my parents in CT for Christmas. A blessed Christmas to all!
