I would like to share her obituary with you. She was the most of holy of women, living her life as a daughter of the Blessed Mother, who she turned to all her life since her own mother died before she was born. She was a great example to me and I could never live up to her steadfast practice of Christianity.

Hello all!
I've been on a hiatus for awhile and I just caught up with all of you. Wow so much going on...
To update you, I'm officially out of the PARP trial. Dr. & I came to an agreement that it was best for me to opt of trial. If ever I need to go back on Carbo & Gemzar (God willing No) I could since no progression. My April and May scans were clears Amen! UCLA wants me to do RADS and now I'm waiting on approval. It will be intense. 3D MRT so let's pray I get approved. Worried about LE too though. My son made his 1st Communion on 5/1 and we lost my MIL on 5/31. It's been quite a few months. But I'm getting back to my old self, hair is growing and I'm trying to LIVE and enjoy each day. Praise God!
Apple: Well,,I guess I AM a Stage IV too (wasn't sure since I have no mets) but my bc + nodes did spread to to other side..I love your spirit..I too want to enjoy the music and LIVE..
Dear Laura: So sorry to hear about your mom & LE...You are such an angel and compassionate person and remember our Dear and beautiful Lord is ALWAYS with you! I am emperiencing some LE symptoms too. I hope you and mom are feeling better. I also heard about KittyKat and glad to hear she's doing well. It just pains me to hear about another TN recurrence. Ugh..Please tell her about the PARP trial. If she's not getting Carbo & Gemzar. She may get in. I am so blessed to have gotten in. (She can PM me)
Nancy: Your genuine compassion for your aunt is so touching and beautiful. You are a true angel! Your sister Barbara is in my prayers.
3M: Thank you for thinking & praying for me. So happy DH is working.
JenWeg & Beanie: I'm praying for a quick chemo recovery for you both. You can do this... through Christ who strenghtens you.
Prayers to all my BC sisters..Continuing the Novena praying for all suffering with BC and other obstacles. Through Christ our Lord Amen.

apple - my condolences on the loss of your mother. I have no idea how I will handle the loss of my own mother one day but God will get us all through the pain.
Speaking of God he really did not want me to take the job that I had the promising interviews for. Today just after I found out that my BS is fairly confident that I DO NOT have a recurrence I got the "rejection" email. Guy didn't even have the guts to call me so I thank the Lord for saving me from that job. Still have to have another test - this time Contrast MRI. But I need to find out whether my port has metal in it because if it does there'll be no MRI.
Still I feel at peace and am not in panic mode - must be all the praying I've been doing.

Hi apple, yes, that's from the novena and I like keeping that in focus, helps me relax and enjoy the world. I'm not a patient person and my chemo start has been put off again until next Tues. The novena helps me to be patient.
You are all in my prayers. Have a great week. Peace, love, health and happiness to all!!!

I love that too.
Ladies... I hope you are doing good!!
I will say this on this thread..
I have been off BCO for a few days.. I just hit my two year Cancerversary. For most.. this day is a celebration. For me.. it was not.
I had 1 1/2 yrs of active treatment.
Chemo/Surgery/Herceptin/Rads/Herceptin....
I SO wanted to be BACK at my two year.
Well... I gained 27 pounds on Herceptin and another drug. I have lost all but about 8 of it. I am short.. so 8 pounds looks like about 15.
My hair is still so short. .oh well..
I have LE. .. and Fibromialgia.
Before BC.. I was SO fit and active. Most people said I was exhausting..LOL...
It is very had for me to come to this point... and STILL only be half way BACk to ME!
EVERYONE telling me....the old faithful...
" but you are alive"
YES... I KNOW THIS... THANK YOU... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
So... I suppose I am confessing my... HUMAN side here with my Christian sisters.
I feel somewhat better today... thus why I am signed on tonight..:)
I hope I can stop being so..." poor me"
I do NOT want to be "that girl" ya know.
I KNOW many of you on this thread went through EVERYthing I did... so you must understand where my heart and even my anger is. It does not make it right... I know... just human.
Sorry for whining...thanks for hangin' with me!

Laura, vent all you want!!! I pray you feel better soon and get our of your "funk"!!!!

Laura,
I passesd my two year cancerversary a few months back. I didn't do chemo or rads, just surgery (BMX with recon) and Tamoxifen.
My "active treatment" ended almost as soon as it began, and yet it took a full year to get "back" to something near normal.
You are less than 6 months out of active treatment, it took a year and a half to gain the weight and lose the energy. Give yourself at least that much time to get back onto an even keel.
I now realize that I will never get back to who I was before cancer, but I kind of like the "new" me. Time and experience shape and change us regardless of diagnosis and treatment, and I was at a point of major change in my life anyway (my youngest graduated from high school a few weeks after my surgery). It is impossible to separate out which influence caused which changes, we can only strive to be the best person, best Christian we can be today, and part of that is accepting our own imperfections. Never forget to love yourself, for you, like each of us, were made in God's image.
You and the other ladies on this thread remind me daily to be better than I otherwise would be. We all need the occasional rant, so rant away when you feel the need. I just hope you understand that you touch more lives with your beautiful spirit than you will ever know.

I feel like I'm interrupting, as I haven't kept up with this thread since Saint's departure for heaven.
I was just updating her two threads with some lovely news -- which you can read there.
But I thought that it would be great for you to hear her daughter Molly singing to her heavenly angel mom at the end of the school year concert.
Molly posted the link here at BCO on her mom's prayer thread.
She is singing, "Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again" with emotion, clarity & amazing talent. I hope you can take a couple of minutes to listen in. Have a tissue ready.
