Laura,
So good to see you back here! I was praying especially fervertly for you this past week....God does so love us as imperfect as we are....I heard a comment that I thought I would share this past week. God knew of our sins before we even committed them.....and He forgave them before we committed them as well! How merciful is that? Try sitting with that thought for a while....what hope! Every reason to trust in the Lord!!
It is the Feast of Corpus Christi today! Let us all run to the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus with prayers of thanksgiving! That we might share just a little bit of His suffering in order to redeem souls! I put all my sufferings at the foot of His cross....and I love and honor Him in the most beautiful sacrament of the altar!
Ladies...all of our prayers are heard....and answered in the most efficacious way in accordance to His will! What will he do with our sufferings today that we offer to Him? Imagine the graces! We are sharing in redemption of souls when offered up this way! God is good MOST especially when we suffer with Him!
God Bless each of us, our families and our intentions!

Laura,
It's so nice to have you back! You are a bright light on this thread!! We missed you, and you are so loved here! I pray your LE therapist will be a lot of help to you. I pray for your suffering to end. We all have our faults and times of anger and frustration. Sometimes I wonder why some have more crosses to bear than others...it doesn't seem fair...but we have to trust in the Lord that it is His will and keep the faith and keep on praying. You are in my daily thoughts and prayers, Laura.
You asked what to pray for in our lives. Please pray for strength for my DH and me so we can finish getting our rental house painted, cleaned, and up for sale. It's been such a struggle with his bad shoulder and my recent exchange, and we aren't as young as we used to be. Our daughter's wedding is next month also...so much going on in our lives right now. We just need strength. Thank you.
May God bless each and every one of us and our families, that we may understand His will and find meaning in the crosses we bear. Give us strength in our daily lives Lord, forgive us our sins, and may we all learn to better serve You, our God, who is all powerful. Thank You for Your daily blessings. Amen
May the peace of our Lord be with you all.
God Bless,
~Jan

glad you are back.. I just love your love of the Lord.
I attended a WONDERFUL celebration for 2 priests celebrating their 50 years each of priesthood. They were both from prominent, rich families and the church was full of high fashion. The music was absolutely wonderful. Two bishops presided.. it was very neat.

Apple, I listened to all my voice mails last night... and your little tiny high voice was so so cute.. it made me smile too... like a giggly girl..:) I have met in person SO many ladies from BCO.. about 35 of ya'll.. but EVERY TIME I talk to a new one.. I get just as tickled... We went to the Zoo yesterday with the grandkids... and today and tomorrow are my LONG work days.. Call me Sunday sometime.. or Monday..:) Most people who hear my voice the first time are amazing how Low it is..
When meeting in Vegas last year... about 1/2 the girls laughed and laughed when I came to greet them at the front desk. Sunshine called my cell saying 1/2 the girls were at the desk.. so my... Packer..Diane...etc came from the pool to the front... well they saw my face and new it.. and said.. HI.... and waved us over.. I put my hands in the air and started hollering WAHOO WAHOO WAHOO.... they Laughed hard..
They pictured me to be this little , soft spoken.. little voice praying lady... and I was little.. with the big loud voice....and deep tone..:)
Anyway.. I smiled when I heard your voice... LETS DO LUNCH NEXT WEEK... That would be nice... even breakfast over coffee sounds amazing... Denny's here we come...:) Let me know sister..
Ladies, have an amazing Friday.. keep praying.. He hears all.
A SWEETY lady on BCO that I hope is reading this...
Yes, I do feel like when I pray.. SOMETIMES no one is listening to me. I also, offer up my suffering the souls in Purgatory.. I think it is SO natural to feel this way. When we live in pain for so so long.. and yet, we are praying with FULL TRUST... and the pain does not leave. It gets hard.
I do have the faith that He says yes, no, wait. Most of my life He has told me wait. BUT, I really trust that the YES has been a few miracles in my life.. I have gotten a few yeses so fast.. it SLAPPED my right in the face. To a Point, I dropped to my knees in thanksgiving. Hang in there sweetheart.. I bet you are like me and hate to hear that... so.. I TAKE IT BACK.... don't hang in there... keep getting the care you need from your doctor and take the pain meds that make you stoned until, someday.. your pain is reliced.xxxooo

Mary...I should type it everyday. That would be good penance. But there would be many more typos, lol. So, once it's all spelled correctly, I don't dare fool around with it.
Laura, it sounds like you and Mary will have a great get-together soon. I've had meetings with some cyberfriends that have cemented our friendships. Some people don't understand how that could happen...but how do other friendships start? There's always that "first meeting." We've already established common interests and causes, just haven't met face to face.
Today's my first "summer hours" Friday. I work extra hours for two weeks and then get every other Friday off. I'm going to take my aunt (the one who broke her hip) around to do errands. She's only been out to go to the doctor's since she came home from rehab, so we're doing some banking, and if I can convince her, some lunch. But she's already called me four times to be sure we'll be back in time for her aide to arrive at 1 pm. I guess it may have to be take-out lunch, lol.
Have a nice weekend, everyone.

Morning Nancy, hey... How is your reconstruction holding up? I am not sure if I remember that you are happy with it. Such a large surgery not to be... so I hope you are!
0 -
Laura, am so-o-o happy with my recons. I had the nips done at the end of April, and they look more and more like natural breasts. Scars will always be visible give-aways when I'm naked, but otherwise you'd never know. My daughter saw them with the nips for the first time last week and she just had to touch them, lol. She couldn't believe how natural they looked and felt (to her. They're completely numb to me).

how about a pic Nancy?
just kidding. glad you are happy.

Nancy.. SO HAPPY FOR YOU !
Have you thought about posting your pictures on the picture page? You do not put your face.. or even your screename that you have here on BCO if you want 100% privacy.
TimTam has done an AMAZING job keeping it Private!

I've thought about it, Laura, but I can't get a good picture. They all seem to make my breasts look "flat" when they're not. Humph. They say the camera adds ten pounds. It certainly isn't adding it to my breasts!
And my joy is not necessarily in their looks, which may not be so attractive to others given the significant scaring. I look past that. It's having breasts that are warm and part of me, and that jiggle a bit when I run, and fill out a bra. All the normal stuff I really missed for a year and a half.
I'm amazed at corrective plastic surgery these days. I think they've developed a prosthetic outer ear that's covered in your own skin (it "grows" on your arm until it's ready for transplant...how weird is that?) I'm sure they're working on other amazing stuff.

Ladies.. have a GREAT week.... make it GREAT!

Just thought I'd touch base, and hope you are all doing well. We finally had a gorgeous weekend after days and days of rain...sure lifts the spirits and brightens everyone's mood! Saturday our DIL gave a bridal shower for our daughter...so much fun! DH and I spent Sunday afternoon/evening working on our rental. We're making progress but still lots to do, and with the wedding less than a month away, we're trying to cram so much into each day. Monday is our 35th wedding anniversary, but we'll celebrate Friday by going out to dinner...that's all we have time for right now. Yesterday DH said, "Okay, Jan...35 years of marriage...is that enough yet?" He was joking of course.:) I love him so much!
I checked out the picture forum awhile back and will eventually make time to post my pics...need to get the "before" pics from my PS first though. I'm using the scar gel, and it's helping a lot.
I hope you are all blessed with a wonderful week. I pray for your good health, peace in your lives, and a cure for BC.
Take care, and God bless.
~Jan
