Day 5 - Novena for Special Intentions and Intercesstion

We pray to St. Perergine, St. Agatha, and St. Lucy to intercede for our special intentions with Our Heavenly Father; for all on this support board who have been touched by breast cancer. May those who are in pain find comfort. May those who are worried find peace of mind. May we all live to see the day a cure is found.

We ask for special intercession on behalf of women recently diagnosed. Their fears are new and unresolved. Please help them to live with their treatment; to live through their treatment; and to live after their treatment.

And we pray in thanks for answers to our petitions.  Our most Heavenly Father is wonderful and good.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thanks lovemyfamily.  I'm lucky to have such a fantastic DH!  BTW...the "cut and paste" twins site is so cute!

Laura, how is your mother doing, and how are you doing with your LE?  Better, I hope.

Beanie, I saw on another thread you had kind of a down day.  You continue to be in my prayers.

Thank you for the prayers! So many in need... Our Father just HAS to hear us. I KNOW He does!

Thank you for asking about mom. She is still healing. She is taking STRONG pain meds that she really does not like, but she has no choice. She will heal, it is taking a long time.

My LE is.. Ok in my mind now. I thought LE meant my arm was going to be the size of my thigh. I had no idea.. that it almost NEVER gets that bad. I am in PT and it is going very well. I like my Therapist a lot. I will survive and go on.. We all do right ladies!

Do any of you have any summer vacations you wanna share?

Happy LONG marriage to you !!

    Healing prayers for your Aunt.

    xxxooo

    Gods Love,

    Laura

Laura I am glad that you are doing well with your LE.  I pray you continue to do well and have no swellings.  I had a vacation planned in Myrtle Beach, we go every year, however doing chemo now so that was out of the question.  Good news is next year we will go for two weeks.  Good news on my aunt, she did great during her surgery.  All is well.

    Thanks for the prayers all!!!

Hi Laura, I'm glad to hear your mother is on the road to recovery, albeit a long road. And that your LE is getting treated. I went for early intervention right after I finished my rads and I kind of miss the therapy. It was nice being massaged ;-). I still do my exercises on an irregular basis, but I do wear a sleeve when I have physical work to do around the house. All prophylactic, as there hasn't been any measurable increase in my arm dimension...just occasional aches that could be from many causes.

I scheduled two vacation weeks in July thinking my out-of-town family members would be coming then, but they're actually going to be coming through earlier, and not for as long as I thought. So I have the time off but nothing to do!  Maybe I'll schedule a quick get-away, or concentrated house-hunting. I have more time-off to use up, so I don't want to cancel it. My boss almost never lets us take two weeks together (even though I have four weeks vacation time), so I want to enjoy this. It makes up for having to go back to work so soon after my surgery in January,,,and the weather's a lot better, lol.

Greetings and peace be with you sisters,

I'm not sure how I missed this thread last year but God has led me to it this year.  I'm glad about this thread because only another Catholic really understands about praying a rosary.  For the last 3 years I have been doing my best to say as many of the Liturgical Hours as possible, usually I get 5 or 6 offices done in a day but some days I forget because I get wrapped up in material things.  Last week I started adding a rosary each day.  In a book I have about Medjugorge (sp?) one of the messages from the Blessed Mother is to say a complete rosary every day (all three Mysteries - or 15 decades).  I'm getting at least 2 in everyday and am working harder to get that third one in.

Did you know that St. Rita is a patron saint for Lost Causes?  I have a small statue of  her on my desk and it reminds me I'm not alone.

I was just reading about St. Rita, There is a shrine near me in Philadelphia. She also promotes peaceful interventions to conflicts.

Shannon--I have recently become interested in the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows--a beautiful prayer given to us by Our Lady of Kibeho.

Jenni, I'm glad to hear your aunt did well at surgery.

Laura, wonderful news that your mother is doing better and your LE is under control with therapy.  I seriously had a vision of your arm turning to the size of a thigh, too.  Whew!  Glad that's not the case!

No vacation for me for awhile.  All my vacation/sick time (5 weeks a year) was used up with my exchange surgery/recuperation.  I could sure use a vacation!  DH and I will spend a couple of long weekends at our beach cottage, and that'll be nice.

I recently had a situation that I was totally stressed about and felt so helpless.  I prayed to St. Jude for intercession.  It worked and I can't tell you the relief I feel!

    Novena To St. Jude :

Most holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of difficult  cases, of things almost despaired of, Pray for me, I am so helpless and alone.
Intercede with God for me that He bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly -
    (make your request here)
    - and that I may praise God with you and all the saints forever.  I promise, O Blessed St. Jude, to be  ever mindful of this great favor granted me by God and to always honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you.  Amen

You are all in my daily prayers.  I pray for your comfort, healing, peace in your lives, and a cure for BC.

    God bless,

    ~Jan

Mary...I'm so sad for you. I will offer this weekend's Mass for your mother.

Ladies, I will start a new novena in a while. It looks like Janathan has a new one started already, so let's pray as hard as we can with her.

To St. Jude: please hear our pleas. Help those in despair by interceding with Our Lord on their behalf.
