Haha, that's quite a bundle, Meece!

Mac - I hate to go to the doctor because everytime I go, they find something else I need to deal with.  I hope those spots can be easily dispensed with and you get on a yearly plan. Love the baby gumming on the Cheetos!

Eph - looking at that breakfast makes me want to go right out and go to Denny's.  Pure deliciousness.

Eli - hope that you are resting and healing well. Looking forward to welcoming you back soon.

Saw my onc today and everything is good. He was a bit off on giving my injection though. Usually doesn't bleed at all. Today it bled quite a bit and left a bruise the size of the bottom of a pop bottle. (black/blue/purple) Thank goodness it is covered - it's kind of ugly.

Hope everyone is doing well and ends the week with a smile and a laugh!

Eli, I join in hoping you're resting somewhat comfortably. Been home all week with flu. Never had before. Can't say I'm a fan!

Valjean, I can almost picture that picture you couldn't get to post :)

Haven't figured out how to get pics to paste on the iPd yet or I'd have a great big bouquet of Cheetos for our special girl.

Marlegal I have the ipad as well, can't post pics or even do chat with my Mac Pro!

Poor Barb! Sorry about your butt! Ouch...

Eli, we're all waiting for good news.... Xoxox

Hey Marlegal - you can stop trying to figure that out.  I asked my son (who develops apps for the iPhone and iPad) and he said the BCO mods disabled the JavaScript in iPads for pasting pictures so it can't even be done. Frown  Sorry to hear you had the flu - hope you're almost over it.  It's miserable!

barsco - Hooray for the good news!  But so sorry to hear about the big bruise! The people who take the blood at my onc's office are soooo bad.  They blew 2 veins in my hand last week so I have that big bruise, too. I think I'm going to call my onc and see if I can get my blood drawn elsewhere by people who know what they are doing.  I only have so many veins!

Eli - hope you are home and feeling no pain (take your pain meds!).  Although I think I'm sort of a masochist because sometimes I don't take the pain meds because I want to see how bad I hurt.... so, don't do as I do. Wink

Marlegal - hope you are on the mend and can enjoy your weekend.

Jo - thankfully it's not my butt as I'm not sure I would be able to sit. It is my stomach just by my bellybutton.

HNS - Looking at your avatar I would have never guessed you to be a masochist - lol. It would be nice if you could find someone to take your blood without bruising everytime. I must say, I haven't had any issues in that respect. (knock on wood).

    Wishing everyone a happy Friday!!!

Time to do the FRIDAY dance!!!

    So ugly, they're cute!

A short post, because I don't really want to sit at the computer.  (Mine is not a laptop.)  Since the recovery is normally 4 days for my type of surgery, I figured I'd show them and get discharged on the third day, like any good little overachiever would do.  Everything went as planned.  Won't have the final pathology news until early next week and the waiting on that will drive me crazy.  Thanks for all the posts that were thinking of me.  I will most likely fill in a few details over the weekend.  In the big picture of having to go through something terrible, I guess I did pretty good.  Alien baby momma out.

Eli- glad to hear from you. I hope you recover quickly and your path report is short and all good news.

    The Alien baby is cute.

Some people have asked me why I had such a low Onco score (6) with having so much cancer. I emailed my MO today and asked him to shed some light on it. He is very good about getting back to me whenever I have a question. Below is his response. I guess we just can't weigh everything on the score alone. I did not enjoy doing the chemo knowing it might not have any benefit, but no regrets either.

With regard to your question, the score represents the fact that it is a slow growing tumor that is likely hormone dependent and less likely to benefit from chemotherapy.  The staging says otherwise, that it was advanced in terms of involving the lymph nodes and has a risk of having spread prior to our finding it (though just not with a lump big enough for us to find it).  This puts more emphasis on the hormone therapy and unfortunately suggests that a recurrence might still occur and that it could be several years down the road.

Which brings us back to your last sentiment – we have to live our lives and enjoy whatever time we get…with or without cancer.

    Thinking of you-

    -Jon

Can I be godmother to the little bugger? Eli, sooo good to hear from you, even with a short post. Love the "I'm gonna show them" attitude, that's our girl! RoboSurgiPatients don't play by the rules :) Like someone else said, make sure to take the pain meds now, you've proven you got moxie kid. We get few enough chances to let the world wait on us - this is definitely a well-earned time for you hon.

Meece, that was so sweet of you to post that picture - that's just the one I wanted, thank you!

HNS, thanks for filling me in about the pics, I had been trying and trying at different times, sure I'd figure it out someday! Now I'll know to visit my big girl computer if I'm in a pic posting mood :)

And since I'm on the big girl computer now, I offer this tribute to our room leader. Heal well and quickly El and always remember that baby pictures aren't always the best yardstick :)

Eli - guess the little alien hitched a ride on the comet Tuesday.  Well, he got a good farewell.  Glad you're back home - feel better soon!

Mar - now we know. You had posted about that before so I was curious. My son happened to be standing there (a rarity) so I asked him.

Diana - thanks for posting your oncologist's answer to the Oncotype question.  So glad to have him elaborate about it.

Marlegal - Looks like he grew into his eyebrows.  LOL

Eli - SOOO glad to hear from you.  Now be a good girl and use your pain medication.  You do have a DH, don't you (sorry for the rotten memory).  Time to be waited on.  Glad you are home and in your own bed.

haha Mar - you are so right about the pic/yardstick comment.

Eli - so good to hear from you and that all went as planned. Hoping for a good path report for you.

HNS, speaking of your son...not sure if you have more than one, but how is the one who was attacked? I've thought of you both and prayed for you both. I know that it's not a case of "Oh, we're fine now, it was weeks ago" I don't mean to make it sound like that, but I hope that time is helping, and I hope you have both been able to talk with a counsellor/therapist. Hugs

Barsco, my mom used to say that the reason there weren't too many baby pics of me was because I was the last of six. That worked for a while, until I actually saw some of my baby pics! Bless her heart, she just didn't want to tell me I was an ugly baby!!!

Now now marlegal - How could someone so lovely have been an ugly baby?

Eli, great to hear things went well. Now that you are home, you have nothing to prove to us. So rest your little over achieving butt.

man, I bet George wishes he had burned that pic. LOL

Yesterday I was driving my car and I did a double take because I thought I saw a tail by my windshield wipers. When I looked again there was a mouse running across from one side of the hood to the other right across the wipers. I made some noise and pulled over. Then of course I wasn't sure what to do. I found that I didn't even know how to open the car's hood. A woman stopped to see if she could help me, but she couldn't figure it out either. She went and got her boss, he showed me how to open the hood. Made me do it twice. LOL And sure enough there was a mouse nest nestled into the engine block. Needless to say, I done kicked that little mouse hotel out, they weren't paying any rent.

I am looking forward to a quiet weekend, too.

Diana, I'm surprised you GOT an Ocotype test with 17/17 positve nodes. Anyone would have done chemo with that. I would have done what you did, for sure!

Elimar, nice to get a quick peek of you. Now take all the drugs and lie in a buzz all day, but remember to take stool softeners and Sennokot or you'll get bunged up and you don't need THAT! Yell
