annette - Truly a stressful day.  The icing on the cake came when a so called nurse friend told me to grow up, throw in the pity card and get over having had cancer.  Should I mention she worked for my BS?  What a slap in the face.

Tomorrow is going to be better...tomorrow is going to be better.

    Enough whining now.

Sorry i guess the day is not over yet jo.

I was happily and calmly watching American Idol (which everybody knows not to call me between 8-9;30) The phone is ringing at 9. It's my friend upstairs.Yell i said it better be an emergency she said it is. i thought she was sick....NOOOOOO!!!!!!!  her remote is not working and wants me to check whats wrong.

I couldn't resist and said you are calling me during my show for that and the answer was it is an emergency.

I told her to get up and change the channels manually.

I know this is nothing but when I say everybody wants something from me this is one of the examples. It goes on and on and on

I'm not very calm right now.

This irritates me even more because I was just feeling good and calm.

It's before midnight so i thought I could still whine.

Sorry. You don't have to reply to this post.

I would like to make an announcement!

The fatigue has officially hit!!!!!  OMG!!!!  I can barely lift my arms up much less my eyelids!!!!!

I have 2 more weeks of radiation to go.....so how much longer after the radiation does this fatigue hang on????

I wake up in the morning and think....I feel good...this is gonna be a good day.  THEN I get up, take my shower, get ready for work and just want to go back to bed....I'm exhausted.  I am so thankful that I own my own business so I can stay home if I need to!  I do not see how those of you who work get through the day.  I am usually home by 3 and in bed for 2 hours.  My hats are off to all of you!

Hope everyone is having a good week!

    Debbie

Can't answer that one Debbie, I never got fatigued during or after radiation.  Did you have chemo?  That and radiation would make you fatigued.

Gaylor- welcome...had to say that before I fall asleep..and anyone here will tell you htat once I have taken my zopliclone, my messages end up with weird spelling so forgive me in advance ladies!

Jo-oh my....I think you and I and our cancer sistahs are allowed to tell ourselves to get off the pity party ( i tell myself that if i have a feel sorry for sandee day that goes on into the next one...) but for someone else to tell you? uhhu nope...she does not get to say that..you are allowed to have pity days....you had a crappy weekend so you are entitled.

I too sat on my floor and wept with a friend...booked my ticket for a 5 day visit home and was suddenly terrified...what if I have a heart attack on the plane????/I did not feel immediate fears with BC...and I am so damn tired...this is soooooo UN-Sandee like...has me very frustrated to be honest.,,,,so instead of rising above it, I let myself cry with a friend...it helped to get a hug while weeping and just saying "I am afrad...I am overwhelmed...." without saying "I wan advice!"...I didn't/./just needed to weep with someone;s arm around me. So yeah...I get it. 24 hour rule JO!

Annette- good for you. You are right. I took a bubble bath last night. it helped...tonight....muesli and milk will do the trick .

thanks for all the food ladies....cant to come to a potluck on Sunday in Halifax? you can bringthe waiter too:)

Debbie_O - The fatigue hit me at 2 1/2 weeks and lasted about 6 weeks after I was finished.  I found I had to really pace myself and take naps when I could.  I found I was watching more and more TV and falling asleep before a show was over.  It does get better - hang in there.

    Eph - I am sooo serious - I couldn't believe myself.

deborye - Thanks for the Mike Tyson pic.

Sandee - Today is almost over - thank God.  The pity party is over for now and tomorrow will be another day.  My thinking is - if you are not in the sisterhood then just shut up.  Don't be afraid to fly - it really will be alright - you will have a wonderful trip - I will be in your pocket holding your hand.  You will find comfort and will feel good about going on your trip.

Thanks ladies for listening - you are all amazing and I would not have made it through this journey without you.

When it rains it pours at my house:

I awoke with a horrible, horrible headache. Still have it.

DH called this afternoon from work to tell me his truck wouldn't start, thought it was the starter, was going to pull it, take it in to have it checked, get a new one, insert it & head home. Called later to say he was on the way home with the neighbors son who was headed this way &, by the way, it was not the starter. Would leave the truck sit overnight & drive our old truck into work tomorrow.

He gets home, goes to help said neighbor-son, old truck blows a front break line. Now that is sitting out here to be fixed. He now has to drive my Trailblazer full of precious, expensive gasoline, into work. UGH!! And we will have to make a special trip into work (44 mi roundtrip) to pick up a vehicle because he will have 2 there. Use more precious gas. Yell

I'm so happy I have sooo much $$$ to fix 2 trucks & fill with that liquid gold!! Insert sarcasm here! In fact, how about inserting a scream here instead?!?

And, then my Red Wings lost their game in O.T. Now they're down 3-0 in the series. Yell It's looking like no Stanley Cup this year, I'm afraid.

I am sorry for this rant - I know none of it is important in the grand scheme of things.

I'll blame it on this headache.

Sorry for the whining, I think everyone else is finished for the day.

Valjean - There must have been something in the air yesterday.  It was a crappy day for a lot of us so go ahead and whine, vent, rant, rave.  I had a lot of things to complain about too that did not mean alot in the grand scheme of things but it sure felt good to let it out to a wonderful group of ladies that understand.  (((HUGS))) - it will be better today.

Hi Ladies,  I am loving all the pictures!  You are a fun group!

Debbie:  How many treatments have you had so far?  Today is #19 for me.  Not tired this week yet, but it usually happens on Fridays.  I crash Friday and Saturday, then recover on Sunday.  I just get so exhausted I have no choice but to sleep!  They told me at rads not to fight the fatigue because it will only make it worse.

Susan - Whatever you do, don't fight the fatigue, you will not win.  Pace yourself and take frequent naps when you can.  The fatigue does eventually go away - sometimes it can take up to 2 years.  I really felt it up to 6 weeks after and find that I don't have the stamina I once had.  I finished rads in early Dec and still feeling the effects.  I should note that I did work everyday through rads and was so exhausted on the weekends, I would sleep most of it just to be ready for work on Monday.  Hang in there.  Be kind to yourself - did does get better.

Question about ER/PR +    Ladies, did any of you have to go on a no hormone diet or did the pill do the trick?

    Hi!

New to this site.  Sooo glad to have this place.

Sandee:  You made me laugh with your comments about the pity party.  So true!  I got irritated with my mom last week and thought "This is my cancer!  You don't get to tell me how to deal with it!".  But I really appreciate the support I've gotten here.  It's helps me so much.

The ladies here have really given me the push I needed to just tackle this problem, one step at a time.  And when I feel sad, I just feel sad.  It passes.  And I feel better to know that I'm not alone, many great ladies have faced this down before me.

    love & hugs!

Kate welcome to our group it is a great place for support.

Debbie O and Susan-I started feeling fatigue 3 weeks into rads.  It lasted about a 4-6 weeks after rads.  I am three months out and just the last two weekends have found myself needed naps on Sat and Sunday again.  I guess I will see about this weekend.

OK ladies all your crappy days yesterday spilled over into mine today.  I went to the bathroom at work and dropped my iphone in the toilet.Yell  My DH called me just as I was trying to unzip my pants and I tried to balance the phone on my shoulder.  Well we can see how that turned out.Frown  So now DH is on his way to the AT&T store to get me a new phone.  Not elegible for an upgrade so will cost me $$$ that I really do not have as I just spent $500 fixing my car 2 weeks ago.  I wish I could live in the land of NO BILLS, wouldn't that be nice.Money mouth

Sherry - not sure about iphones but I have dropped my cell phones in the toilet several times Embarassed and if you remove the battery ASAP, shake as much water out as possible and let air dry for a few days 8 -10 times my phones would work again... Good Luck!
