Hi Judy..♥
Hi Sisters♥
We are going tomorrow to see her....i just got a phone call
He'll be driving....his wife will be in the car so I' feel comfortable.
I'm not gonna complaint or have crisis....my SIL is much more important than anybody........
It's just that I have to be in the car and listen to him. What i understand he's not very happy but tough.......the world doesn't turn around him. He has to grow up at sometimes and this is the perfect time to show comfort to his brother and the family.

Mimi, hope you have heard about your job by now..we all need good jobs and good insur since the US has chosen not to have a NHS like UK.
Sherryc,,holla from FL,yep I;m a Longhorn. Miss it sometimes. The seasons were more distinqueshed (my mind is gone for spelling) in TX. Here in FL the seasons seem to mesh, like this wk was 80 and hot and next week is supposed to be 60 and rainy. Go figure.
Ready to go back to work on Mon. Sitting here looking in the mirror and the train wreck on my chest is getting me to crying again. I should take my bottle of Ty#3 back to the GP and ask for a pill for depression. My non cancer side looks ok just an inch line on both sides where the nip was but the cancer side OMG. Its caved in. I keep asking the dr why and they wont give me a satisfactory answer..its like there there dont worry we'll fix it. Can they?

Sheila.............Love and prayers "dear heart"........your right, just think of your SIL, and turn everyone else off...............good luck girlfriend,.........hugs.

Sheila - you are a strong, brave and loving women. I am sending prayers and hugs. May peace be with you all today.
Layla - Prayers and hugs to you. Yes, I totally believe that they can fix it.
Joan - explore your options. I have read on here many times that even different names (generic vs. brand) cause different side effects. Are you on a generic? Maybe demand the brand name for a month? Explore your options. It seems that with the AI's there are a few.
Judy67 - YAY! I actually made it to the gym twice this week! Praying the pounds melt away wiht healthy eating and exercise!
No more Fridays for rad treatments!!! Only 2 left! Only 2 left! Than, tomox. Yikes.

I was diagnosed with stage 1 Breast Cancer back in December and have already had surgery. Now I'm waiting on chemo treatments to begin. One thing I haven't found in my area are really strong face to face support groups with women coming together to discuss how they are getting through all this with diet, exercise, etc. Do you know if anything like this exists? I am in the Charlotte area.

Hi KimP. Welcome. Please start by telling us about yourself. Your pathology, etc. if you would like. I know that the American Cancer Society offers a bunch of programs in our area. I would start there. The number to your local office is: 704-552-6147.
Happy Friday everyone.

Layla2525: The miracles of plastic surgery...they can fix anything, so don't worry. In almost no time, you will look fantastic.

Layla yes they can fix it. PS work miracles. Oh and we had a Holiday today "Texas Independance Day" we love our holidays
KimP and munnybunni welcome to the group even though I hate that you guys are joining us here. Did either one of you have an oncotype DX done and if so what was your score. It will help you in making a decision if you want to do chemo or not.
Sheila praying for you and your family.

KimP - Please find out through your surgeon or hospital if there is a Breast Cancer Navigation program available to you. If so, I strongly urge you to contact them. They can be a wealth of local support and information. They can put you in touch with support groups, access to free services that might be available, and they are a great sounding board if you're feeling overwhelmed and not sure where to direct your concerns. I actually met with a navigator the first time I saw my surgeon the day after diagnosis and I was given a big binder full of all sorts of resources, a place to organize my records, etc. It's a wonderful service.0

Sheila - My heart is with you today. Sending prayers & heartfelt hugs. You are a strong woman and have a good heart so continue to focus on whats important. Disregard the rest.
Layla - Sending big hugs your way too. They really can fix it... I am amazed at how beautiful a job my PS did, just wish I wasn't always aware of them. Hoping that fades at some point.
Welcome KimP & Munnybunni! I did not have chemo or rads but will be happy to help in any way possible. Even if just to lend an ear or shoulder...
Hope all our Southern sisters stay safe tonight and wish everyone a good weekend.

hi all..
i start my chemo after march 15...i have a colonoscopy on march 12 and they are waiting till i do that and get the results.
i will have four treatments of adriamycin and cytoxan then five years of hormone blockers which possibly will reduce recurrence to 5% rather than 22%
i did not have the oncotypedx done, however, i did have the mammoprint which does 70 genes and i am high risk on their scores...thus the chemo.
oncologist said she doesnt feel i need anymore than the 4 treatments of above chemicals as i had no node involvement.
i have to go to chemo classes on march 6th

(((((Sheila))))) thinking of you.....there are just no words.....
Thanks for the advice about the A.I. I already tried Arimidex (generic) and I had vasospasms (angina) frequently. When I saw the MO she wrote Rx for Femara (generic). I agree, different labs have slightly different chemistry and it DOES make a difference. I had forgotten that. I know I could take aromasin (?) and not sure how long I should try to stay on Femara. Jo, did you take something else after you stopped? If I didn't have to work, maybe I could cope better. DH is telling me I have a huge attitude problem. (this, after I worked 14 hours yesterday and cleaned the whole house before I left for work this AM....) I awoke this AM with a massive cramp in my calf....it spazzed for about 15 minutes ... I hope this isn't the new SE.
UGH is this me...so negative???? I don't think I'll write anything until I have something positive to say.
Thinking of each of you....and especially those who are going through surgery and treatment decisions.J

Joan........on Femara since July..........very against it at the time...waited 6 weeks longer then I should have...............have trigger thumbs, but that is not bad...........some aches and pains, but I'm on a Statin, and that can do that too.......I take coq10 which helps greatly with the aches and pains...........I am on the "brand", not the generic............I can handle what few SE's I have......if they can't bad and I can't.............I'll stop.
Good luck with whatever you decide..............
