Tessa, you just need to ask. My husband had his colonoscopy and endoscopy at the same time he had surgery for a torn achillies tendon. I would be sure to call your Drs first thing tomorrow and insist they do it at same time so they can coordinate.

does anyone know of an app where you can put in a pic of your breasts then see what various cc would give you? Scars and all.

Tessa - It never hurts to ask. I had a bunionectomy done with my BMX. The doctors & nurses all looked at me like I was out of my mind when I asked but then thought about it and realized what a great idea it was. The BS & PS did their work and then they called in the podiatrist who worked on my foot. It definitely was 2-for-1 and it was perfect!!

Ladies i am done, i am in a lot of pain, but here are pictures, they are very soft i am very please. Thank you weeptmom, they Dr. did not give me the plastic card but i ll get it on Jan 09, 2014. I ll try to get some rest now i just got back from the hospital. Imagine this are 600 cc not what i had before at all but at least i wont be flat. Tessa this will give you an idea. Hope i help others.

Enerva, I peeked out of your pocket during surgery and saw your PS was doing a FANTASTIC job, so I crawled back in and took a nap. You were in good hands. Time for you to sit quietly, nap too, and HEAL.

just had a little soup now hopping to keep it down. I also took pictures right before the surgery. here you can see the projection of the TE at 600cc . I want Tessa to have an idea of how important is the size in terms if projection. before suregy
you can see how the right breast is higher that is due to Rad. PS did some fat grafting too, i was afraid of that but she decided during my surgery, she said in order to help with the rippling and the rad tightness. I Really hope this helps you ladies, i have no access to the picture forum but i dont mind for you to see my experiences. I am now taking two pills for the pain. Will let you know hiw i survive tonight. Thanks G i have a blackberry cuz i am accessing this from my bed. with lots of pillows around me.

lol Sandra those were rocks lol i am glad they are gone. Sandra this is brutal i am still no able to hold down anything not even water.
Anyway vomited 5 times, getting worry about it. will let you know how the nights goes. Pain is now 6, from 1 to 10. need to take the pain killer on empty stomach plus antibiotic 0 -
Enerva, sorry you're feeling bad! Ginger (ginger ale) supposed to settle the stomach. If it were me, I'd call doc on duty and get Rx for anti-nausea medicine, quickly! And that's what they get paid for. Have had to spend time with DD in the ER on two holidays (Thanksgiving and New Years Day), due to severe nausea, vomiting and dehydration. Please don't let that happen to you. And BTW, you're looking fabulous, wish I had those results

Hi thanks i will get it today. its 4:38am i slept 3 hours. better than nothing i supposed. Thanks i am happy too. I know i could have worse results. I thank Weeptmom for all her help in deed .

Enerva--you really look fabulous! Nipple sparring was not even offered to me but seeing your results, I wish I had known/investigated that further at the time of my BMX. Zofran worked wonders for my nausea post-operatively--hope you feel better soon! Rest and relax as much as possible.

Thank you, I want to tell all the new patients my history. I found a small lump in my right breast in March 2012. I went to my family Doctor and she sent me to an Ultrasound the US suggested that the lump was just inflammation but that i presented calsification in the uper quadrant which should be follow up in 6 months. I was not happy with this and i insisted to my FD that i wanted a Mammogram, i was born in Venezuela and even though its a small country we are big on detecting breast issues. A mammogram there can be order right away. So i insisted on getting one. My family Doctor told me that she didnt think it was necessary but that knowing me she knew i was going to worry until i got a mammo, so she referred me to a specialist , she said lets see if a specialist will see it necessary and let him decide. I then agree cuz i thought i could get a second opinion, plus in my mind i thought a specialist could not argue and send me get the test. I was then 38 years old. The man saw me and asked me to undress and then felt my breasts then he said the same as my FD he said, i dont see the need for a mammogram this lump is very small and probably benign. I looked at him, he is a older old fashion Doctor his name is Irving B. Rosen M.D., (c) F.A.C.S Surgeon from Mount Sinai Hospital. If you google his name you will see how much experience he had at the time i saw him so i trusted this man. I then asked him if he could do a needle biopsy i read he could do that at his office, he looked at me and said " are you sure you want me to do that?" I said yes i need to know if there is something wrong, i never had a lump in 38 years and something was telling me, something was wrong I still told him i needed the Mammogram and he then agree, he said ok if that will ease your mind i will order a right breast mammo. I will do the biopsy now too. I then said i am sorry but why right side only, if i am going to do this i want to also check the left breast. Then he said it was not necessary cuz i had no lumps in the left breast but i argue again to the point he just wanted me out of his office so he gave me my referral for both mammos. I then went in 10 days to do the test. At the time of the test i felt sharp pain right on the lump. Then I waited two weeks to see him in order to know what the mammo said. I got to his office and he then said the mammo show just some calcification on the left breast which i should follow in 6 months. Then i said what about the biopsy results? He then looked in my chart and said hum, just what i thought, nothing to worry about. I told him i was now in pain and bruised he checked me and he said it was the mammogram, that maybe i had a small hemathoma . Ladies he made me feel as if i was crazy. I felt so hurt by the way this Dr. looked at me and assure me nothing was wrong. I was just a paranoid lady looking for trouble. Anyway, on my way out i ask his secretary to please give me a copy of the Mammogram report as well as the biopsy result. She gave me the papers and i took off fast cuz i was going to miss my train. got on the train and still felt pain on my right breast. I looked at the papers and read that the results of my biopsy were inconclusive, Not enough fluid to determine cells. I then told myself how stupid i was, why did i put myself in that situation now that machine hurt me and now i had a big bruise. Ok so wait till you read what happen next. A month went by and in April i realized the lump was a bit harder in texture and a bit larger I then said well maybe is nothing, my period is coming soon it must be that. Then at the end if April my mom who was 80 and lived with me got very sick. I ended up living in a hospital the month of April, i took my labtop and my employee owed me so many vacation days that i was able to manage. The only thing was that my lump started to grow, then in May mom was ok i took her home and i then went back to my family Dr. i then told her what happen and when she felt my lump she said I do not like this, we are dealing with something different sent me to another US. had to wait another 2 weeks for the US appointment then another 10 days for results and before then my Mom was back in the hospital. I spend May and June day at the office night at a chair in the hospital with mom. I then found a time and went to discuss the US results and my FD told me she did not like it that we needed a biopsy. A core biopsy. At this point i knew something was wrong but i was so exhausted from no sleeping in my bed and no knowing when mom was going to go home i just did not think strait. She gave me a referral for a Core biopsy not for another month, June 22, i then talk to another doctor at the hospital where mom was (Trillium) and the doctor at the image dept felt sorry for me and he said, "get your FD to write u a referral for me and i will do your core biopsy. " I then went back and got it. I was at the hospital every night, sitting at a chair, This doctor was very nice he did his best not to hit Any veins so not mayor bruises. Gave me an ice pad to put on. I went to my mom side and i started to worry sick, i knew something was wrong but not idea what was coming my way. 17 days later i was told the results, i had BC. I was then sent to see a BS. I got there and He had a look at my breast which did not look anything in the outside but if you felt it you could feel a hard rock right under my nipple and going up large. Anyway this man sat in front of me and said he suggested he do a right breast mastectomy. I asked him what did that mean? he then took a pen and draw in paper what he was going to do to my chest. I asked him still very calm, what about my left breast? he said i am not concern about the left there is no tumor there. I asked him if he would request an MRI? to check the left breast, he said my family doctor could then follow up with the left breast, that his concern was the tumor in my right breast. He told me to speak to his secretary that she could arrange for a fast date for surgery since my breast tumor was growing fast . I did not react i spoke to the secretary gave her my info and left. I got to my car and i called home told my mom i was running late, that i called a lady from the building to go over and keep her company till i got home. I then drove to downtown i had no appointment but went strait to my Family doctor. Waited till her last patient to leave and saw her. I was still calm i did not cry, i show no emotions, i just told her what the surgeon said, and i told her i was not going to do it. She looked at me and asked me " what do you mean?" i said i am not letting anybody tqke my breast away. I found the lump when it was the size of a grain of rice and the specialist and the test said not to worry and now in 4 month a surgeon needs to take my breast?. Its not happening. She then stood there looking at me and said i can send you to see a second opinion, but the doctor who i think you should see is out of town, so i will contact her office and let you know. She said if anybody can give you a better choice it will be her. I then waited till Sept to see that doctor, imagine me going to work, taking care of my 80 year old mom and not been able to tell her anything, i was working everyday knowing i had a tumor growing and no body could help, i had to wait till this lady came to town. I finally saw her. She felt my tumor and before she said anything i told her to her face, everything i told her how it was so small in march and how much time i had to wait to see her and i told her i knew that Nipple sparing mx was been done in USA and that it was also available in Canada. She listen to me and she told me, " In order to consider that surgery the tumor needed to be small and that not only that but she needed all kind of test. that it was to early to decide on the type of surgery. That i should trust her and that she will try her best to do what i wanted but only after Chemo reduces the size of the tumor. Anyway I then became obsess in the internet trying to learn all about the surgery i wanted. I also requested from her to do an MRI, to the left breast she assured me there was no need. I beg her cuz i knew there was calcification, and got a call from her office to go see about the results. She then saw something and wanted a core biopsy from the left breast. 2 weeks later i was told i had the same cells in the left. Then she wanted a generic test, i did and turn out negative. She said i am her first patient to have BC in both breast at the same time. I started Chemo in Oct, and she then send me to a PS that could work at the OR at the same time as her so the plastic surgeon could do the recon. I met my PS, and when i told her the type of surgery i wanted she gave me a look as if i should consider flab or what ever other options are there in case my BS could not do the NSBMX. I look at her and said nothing i just told her to have a good look at my breast cuz i wanted to end up as close to that as possible. I was D. cup. She said is was not likely. i left her office and from that day i did not like my PS. she gave me the this is not augmentation this is reconstruction speech. I told her i will keep my skin and my nipples so all i need is a big implant to fill in what i already have. She smile and said lets wait till your surgeon decides. Anyway. I finished chemo and my tumor did not get very small, my nipple on the right looked to be affected on one side. I went to see the BS. and she asked me how important this NS surgery was? I told her it was the most important thing i told her this was the only reason i waited for her. I told her i was not willing to lose my skin and nipples. I then looked at her and i told her i am not unreasonable i told her, if when you open me you see that my nipple and skin are compromised then you can go ahead and take it away, but if there is no need i want you to take what ever you need, including my muscle as long as my skin and nipples are ok so i can get an implant and get to be somewhat normal again. She then went outside her office and came back and got the papers ready and she told me, " I know how important this is to you and i will do it, i know there is not big risk so, I will speak to the PS and ll arrange the dates. You must meet her and decide on the implants." ladies just like that. i got my N saved." I am sorry to give you all that long story, there is way more to tell but I just want any body here to know that that surgery is available to us. Its just not offered. I have pictures of the way my nipple was, with the tumor. My tumor was right under my nipple and it made the nipple shrink and i thought the nipple had to go. but after researching i found out the chances of BC recurring on the nipple is very very nill. So i need all the new BC patients to look at this surgery and just search and get second opinion before deciding to give up. I feel it just more difficult and the like taking the short cut. cuz it is not them who will live with the consequences. Sorry if i said anything that offended anyone. If anybody needs more info feel free to ask me. I slept 3 to 4 hours ,stopped vomiting around 4 am. Pain is better today.

Yes but i think she used the NSSF610 i am not sure since she left and never spoke to my sister or me,
thats how she is. I have an appointment on Jan 09, i will PM you more pictures so you can see better how it looks, i feel i had so much more room for a larger implant but as you know she did not agree, i had to argue a lot to get the 610. Thanks you Wheeptmom you helped me a lot. 0 -

Thanks Galsa, I am feeling better now, at least i was able to eat and the pain got better.

Hi Enerva-WOW, you look great! Glad the pain is better too! I will be going about 600ccs so thanks for posting the pics of with TE and after. Helps a lot! What is your ribcage? Shocking how different the TEs projection is from the implant, but you look FAB! Where was your fat grafting from and does it hurt where it was taken from? Did you have fat grafting on both sides?

MCbeach thanks, i had fat grafting only to the right side cuz i had Rad in my right breast, I have to admit i wish my PS had used 650 cc implants since i see lots of rippling but Wheeptmom tells me i need to give it two weeks so it made me happy to have hope it will settled and may look better. What i like is that the implant turned out looking very natural and its so soft i love it. I endure 9 months with the TE and they were hard rocks. the fat was taken from my belly and it did not hurt at all, my pain is more from the cuts under the breast specially the right breast where i had rad, my PS had to cut of internal scars that made the right breast contract. and not movable at all. Feel free to ask me anything, i am glad to help, i am in Canada so i got the Inspira implants, the catalogs is in Weeptmom list.

Your recons results are amazing!! If you don't mind me asking, where are the incisions? I could never tell from the pics. I also had NSP and SSP 3 wks ago, but I have this ugly lateral scar that definitely is not pleasant looking to say the least:(

Hi i have old pictures from my BMX, here it is, my BS went under the breast lines.

Newbies: What you see in photos is not always what you should expect to get. Everyone is different. My implants are bigger than Enerva's but mine look much smaller (about a D width, but I can only fill 1/2 the cup) because I have a much larger frame. I have one of the largest gummy bear implants, Allergan 410 style FF 740g. The manufacturer's literature says they only project out about two and a half inches and that is considered "full projection." They look great but do not give the dramatic look Enerva has shown in her photos. They are just what I expected, however, so I'm quite pleased.
In addition, you can be fooled by comparing TE size and implant size. Before exchange I had one 800 cc saline round implant and one 740 cc TE that looked twice as big as the implant even though it had less saline. Newbies...don't expect your implant to be as big as your TE and project out so much.

I agree with Sandra, the reason i show you the before and after is for you to see how different the projection turns out after the exchange, so if you want to achieve the sane projection your implants should be larger in volume and projection. I wish only to guide you since i wasn't hoping to achieve the projection but my PS did not agree so i had a bit of a hard time getting there. I wish all the best to all the newbies

MCbeach I am 167 cm tall and 61kl I measure 31" ribcage and 39"with the TE. I had TE 600cc in each side. I will measure later to see what it is now with the implants but we need to wait 2 weeks for it to settled down .

No doubt your PS had to cut through and clean up that incision scar! On the optimistic side, you have IMF scars. Not all of us had that as an option.

Enerva-Thanks for much for answering my Qs! I am very close to your measurements so this is sooo helpful for me. I also have 600cc TEs. What did you get yours filled up to? You look so natural I am just amazed, and so much better looking than the TEs. This gives me hope (although I have no nipples). Thanks again!

Good morning, slept 4 hours but feeling much better cuz no more vomit. Galsa I basically asked my BS for the cuts to be underneath the breast line, I saw a youtube video of a woman who had my surgery here in Canada and used it to persuade my BS. I have to admit I thought i was going to lose my nipples cuz my tumor was right at 11 o'clock in my right side, but if you research there is no prove BC can come back at the nipples I actually thank the United states where you live cuz i found all info from people in USA who had this type of surgery. Also when Weeptmom gave me advise and mentioned allegarn style 45 to be the one with full projection I went to a BRA event here in Toronto, I felt so sad cuz during the presentation the plastic surgeons where saying how there are many new options including Nipple sparing surgery and all kind of things were said but when it was time to see the models there where around 14 ladies showing their surgeries and guess what no one had my surgery, so i was sad cuz even though it was mentioned no one is offering this NS surgery, the patient has to ask and argue in order to get it. I honestly want to do something about this. My PS gave me the speech that Tessa got from her PS, and I feel as if i need to advocate for the NS surgery cuz no one is and i wish they look at us with more concern regarding our emotional state of mind. I am not very good at wording in English but i hope you guys understand my point.
MCbeach, my TE were 13 cm width and capacity to 400 over fill to 600. that is why i was so uncomfortable cuz my PS didnt want to please me and i argue with her from the beginning i requested to get the 600cc but then found out the TE were up to 400 and then because they overfill to 600cc they were extra hard, i was misserable for 9 months. I am glad if i can help any new person and i will be involve in the BRA event this year in order to show my surgery results. I will recomend my BS to every woman that is here in Canada, she is a great doctor she is the one that made it possible for me to end up with better results. As per my PS, i am done with her. I am not going to keep her. She is one of the best yet she did not make my jurney easy. She made me feel as if i was not supposed to expect much from life now that i had bc. I am sorry but I feel we are not given the options to be normal again, i lost respect for the medical system i fell betrail and i will do anything to help so no body feels the way they made me feel. I hope i dont offend anyone, and please forgive me if i say anything i shouldnt.
