warrior,
Whippetmom can help you with sizing. As tiny as you are a C shouldn't be tough at all. And just an FYI: My rounds look very natural. Not like balls at all. I have great cleavage and can push them up if I wanted to. So don't rule them out just based on that thought.

Dulcigirl - Thank you for the advice and I will take it. I think the best I can do is to describe what I hope to have and leave it to the experts to give the best advice on how to get there.

Warrior,
In my experience, saline rounds look and feel very natural. That's what I had at first and I was happy. I kept one for nearly 3 1/2 months after the BMX-direct to implants, but lost the other to complications and had a TE put in two weeks later. I got to really compare them as the TE grew. Don't suppose too many women have one nice 800cc saline round and one grossly swollen 740cc TE on the other side. The TE looked twice as big as the implant even though it had 60 cc's less saline. Whippetmom is the expert, but in my experience, I would say you'll be disappointed if you think your implants will be the same size as your TE's. The implants will look natural, will be soft, but will be smaller. They will be wide like the TE, but won't project out as much. (At least that's been my experience. Whippetmom, please correct me.)
I wonder if 250 cc's will give you what you want. You're so small, it may be perfect. I wanted to be a small D or full C. I'm 5'6' with a large frame and now have Allergan 410's, style FF in 740g, the largest available. They are wide - a D probably, but project out only 2 and 1/2 inches so I don't think they could begin to fill out a D cup. They look and feel the same as the soft saline ones did. Someone said they would feel hard but they don't at all. The only difference I can tell is that they are a much taller implant so they have covered up some of the divots on my chest. (That's why the PS changed to a different kind of implants at my TE exchange & implant revision 3 weeks ago.) I think both kinds of implants are great and very natural looking after the first few days.

Sandra - I was surprised when the card read 250cc. Is that the most they can be filled? I was quite busty before and although I am short I am very curvy. I wish I could try them all on first. LOL

Read up at the top of the page. Whippetmom has some info about overfilling there. Even so, your implant will be smaller than the full TE. You need to be prepared for the fact that your breasts will not look like smaller versions of what you had before. What you get is acceptable, but different. Your breast will not be cone-shaped as it projects out. That last inch or so isn't there. Foobs are a little wider and flatter than real breasts. They are more like mounds than breasts.

warrior,
I also had short height expanders. Not the same style as yours, but they are designed to just expand the lower pole. I really liked them. Mine were overfilled by 250 cc's! And then my first set of implants were about 150cc's larger than that!!
It is hugely important to clearly communicate your wishes to your PS and then to carefully listen to why you can or cannot do everything on your list. ;-) I was very clear that I did not want two melons attached to my chest. Lol. My PS called them "stripper boobs." I ended up with a pretty natural looking slope...though it is definitely perkier than my nursed-out originals.

Dulcigirl - This is extremely helpful. I like the lift of the rounds and the cleavage I would have but my concern was avoiding having what my PS referred to as a "shelf". I always liked my boobs but at 52 they were heading south and I'm looking forward to something perkier. Frankly, from how you describe them, I want your boobs! I am now considering the rounds and no longer ruling them out. Whippetmom suggested for tear drops the Sientra oval base high projection with a volume of 370 ccs and since I have the extra skin to consider a round silicone implant and recommend Allergan Style 20, 425 ccs.
I remember selecting the color of the marble around a fireplace and changing my mind about 50xs. I expect to be even more neurotic with my implants.

This pic was taken earlier this month, when I had the opportunity to meet these awesome ladies for lunch in Southern California. Left to right: hbcheryl, whippetmom, blessings2011, and 2nd_time_around.
Oh, my gosh.... we had SUCH a wonderful afternoon, and it was great to see whippetmom again, and meet hbcheryl and 2nd_time_around for the first time.
AWESOME sisters, all of them...I am truly blessed by their friendship.

Beautiful picture and friendships!
Whippetmom - I meet with my PS in a few hours. Your timing is perfect. I will ask her opinion of the silicone round for me. I assume this is the direction you're leaning as I do want cleavage yet have the extra skin to prevent the balls on my chest / shelf look? Thank you so much. I can only imagine what I may have selected without guidance.

Awwe that's great that you girls were able to get together !
I hope that kind of thing happens more often.
Wonder if I can get a group of the MI ladies to shovel themselves out and meet somewhere?

Tessa, great new avatar! Great to see your face! You're a cutie, you were hiding behind your chest!

I assume Mentor and Allergan are like Coke and Pepsi? I see the dimensions are slightly different, but from a quality and cosmetic standpoint are they pretty much the same? I see Allergan mentioned here more than Mentor. Our PS says she uses both, doesn't favor one or the other, but from her terminology it sounds like she is more familiar with Mentor.

I have just passed my one year since UMX. I've had EX surgery, nip recon and am awaiting tattoo. I love following this thread as it has such great advice even though I'm past this. I could NEVER have gotten through all this without BCO and all the ladies here. I think this forum is by far the best resource for anyone facing breast cancer. On that note, I'd like to remind everyone that this place runs on donations so when you're contemplating year end tax deductions, remember BCO!! I'm one of those people that over the last year has educated myself about "pink washing" so when I was looking for a reputable charity to donate to (my family does this in lieu of Christmas presents), this was where I came! I also donated to the picture forum since it was VERY helpful as well.
Anyway, I just wanted to reiterate how great this forum is and to remind everyone to give back whether it's financially or just with good advice and support!!

Tessa and tamiami - I'm all for a Michigan meet-up too!

whitenack: I like Allergan's dimensions better and I just happen to like Allergan as a company. But yes, the products are essentially the same.
