Crikey moses Titan don't do that to me.  My heart sank.  Thank God for fibrous tissue.

Curly everyone of us on this thread hate this disease and we know exactly how you feel.  Cancer sux big time but this is the place to vent, shout, scream and do whatever will make you feel better and able to go on.  Big warm hugs to you.

Jenjen hope you get your results soon and all is well. Deep in your pocket.

    Keep us posted Jen.

Titan...so happy that it was not ' That '!! Completely agree ...5 years, 10 years ..whatever...check ups should be frequent. Since they dont know the complete science behind cancer, we can never be too sure.

curly..its heartbreaking to hear these and now we ourselves are a part of it too.

Titan, glad you got good news!

Jen, thinking of you today and praying!!

Gals, I have a question. I am majorly constipated. I took Zofran all day Tuesday and took one on Wednesday morning and I have not been able to poop since Monday before I got sick. I don't know if it's from the Zofran or if my system is just messed up from being sick. Saw regular doc yesterday for follow up to ER visit and she said to try Phillip's pills aka Milk of Magnesia. I took the maximum dose last night and still haven't pooped. She said I could try Dulcolax if Phillip's didn't work. My butt hurts because the crap won't come out! It sucks because my sister is here from TX and she leaves tomorrow. Anyway my mind is going to the darkest places thinking I've got a blockage from a tumor or twisted intestine or something else, and I'm scared my bowel will rupture or something! It's crazy but I've lost all my security thanks to this damn disease and from C Diff as well. Any ideas on what I should do?? Has anyone been really constipated? Can this cause a perforated bowel or anything? Sorry for sounding irrational! Thanks in advance!!

I deleted my previous post because I was complaining about major constipation, and I realized how dumb it was when other's here are struggling with upcoming scan results and new diagnosis. Ugh... Sorry!!

Anyway, I did want to say to Titan that I'm glad you got good news and to thank you for starting this thread!!!

Also, Jen you're on my mind, as I know how nervous you are. I'm praying for you and I think I can speak for all of us when I say in your pocket, holding your hand. XOXO!!!

    Dobies,

Never underestimate the pain of constipation. It seems like a little thing, but when I did chemo, sometimes it was worse than the bone pain!

Thanks Rad! It just seems like my issue is pretty small right now compared to other's. The laxative I took is helping a bit but unfortunately my fissure opened back up! OUCH! Ugh. Even over a year out from treatment some of us still have issues. Keeps on giving. Hope everyone has a nice day!

Thinking of everyone in waiting right now.

The best for constipation is milk of magnesia - nothing will stay in after a dose of that :)

luv - everyone has earned their right to complain about whatever they need on here!

Thanks for the support. Headed to the elementry school to eat lunch with my 7 yr old...I'll take any distraction I can get.

Inspired by Dolce, "smooth move"??? For real? That's awesome!

See dobies....t helps us all feel better when someone has a problem we can try to solve!

We all need to gripe about our big things, but they're BIG things because there is nothing anyone CAN do to help. Your "little" issue that is currently a BIG pain in the ass for you is something we can chime in on and try to help...not just offer hugs and support. Sometimes the rest of us need to feel like we might have a solution for someone else....

Like jenjen said, anything to keep us from thinking about _______. (Fill in the blank with whatever your current BIG issue is.)

Ladies you are all the best! Thanks for all the tips. I took Milk of magnesia last night and have had a little bit of success but my stomach and intestines still feel irritated and I'm sure they're inflamed. I'm still backed up, but at least I went a little bit. Just been a crappy week after the abdominal pain and vomiting and now this. My sister is here from TX and leaving tomorrow. We did get some fun in but she leaves tomorrow. Anyway, I'm taking more MOM tonight and will get the tea while I'm out later to have on hand. Smooth Move is a great name for it. Haha! Eileen prune juice makes me nauseated but thanks anyway.

wish we were all here under different circumstances. I feel like you're all family. XOXO!!!

    Jen keep us posted!

Hi My darlings...it has been a while since I posted but I read and keep up all the time.

Stay strong all of you who are just beginning treatments.  To those in it already hang in there...It will go by fast and will soon be a memory.

Had lunch with my mom today and she went for a mammo 2 weeks ago--she is 75.  Doc now wants more pics and an US of the breast as there is something suspicious there...UGH!  I tried to talk her into getting an appointment sooner than the one she was offered on the 17th but she acts like it is no big deal.  I really hope she is right!  Will keep you posted...trying not to worry but I just love me mum so!

Mags, a friend of mine just went through the same thing. What she did to save on any delays (in case it was something) is that she had an appointment lined up with my breast surgeon, just in case the u/s found something. The mammo was suspicious. They did the biopsy (Radiologist gave her a choice of waiting 3 months or biopsy). She did the the biopsy, it was negative and everything was fine. She did go ahead and keep the appointment with the surgeon, as she felt she wanted someone like this for her annual wellness exam.

Jen, I just logged on to see if you had any information yet. I am really thinking this means nothing out of the ordinary - an unremarkable report. I remember one time waiting on results for an MRI, and come to find out, the Breast Surgeon had the results all the time I was waiting (days) and it was in his basket waiting for him to sign off on before giving me the call. I had called the imaging place to see if it had been read, and it had - the day after my MRI (because I requested a specific Radiologist) and she said that my breast surgeon had the report since that date. Since that happened, the Radiologist decided it would be better for me if he goes ahead and calls me directly now, so now I get the results right away. That's not the breast surgeon's policy, but since I was a basket case the Radiologist gives me a little leeway. And see, from my surgeon's point of view, he probably glanced at the results as he walked by his InBox, saw that things were normal and knew he would sign this batch of reports on such and such day - never knowing how much I was worrying on the other end. Once you do get your results, ask some question to find out when he received the report and you might be able to figure out where the delays is. Of course, if it's especially busy right now with extra case loads at the imaging place or you are part of a very large center maybe the 48 hours is not really a delay. Hang in there! You are doing great!

The tea is so yummy - it's hot tea (in case you didn't know). LOL Make sure you let it steep 12-15 minutes like it says. And I used just a half teaspoon of raw brown sugar to sweeten it.

Smooth Move was given to me before my colonoscopy. Winking

There 's another good tea that a friend gave to me during chemo, called "Tummy Tea", - made by "Allegro Fine Tea." It tastes good and helps an unsettled stomach. She found it in a Whole Foods market, and I was sure glad that she did!

Mags, your Mom has the right attitude! I hope she gets the 'all clear' report when she goes!!

Jenjen, yes, the waiting is awful! I once went to surgeon's appt, after waiting days and days for phone call with nodes results, and everyone in his office was SURE the other had already called me to tell me the path report! =/

    WIshing all a good weekend!

been a while from me but I've been reading faithfully.

senna tea is another tea for constipation "a traditional herbal stimulant to relieve occasional constipation". The one I have is made by now real tea and I get it at a local natural food store. So there's lots of remedies for the big C!

Never feel bad to ask or talk about anything here, big or small

First post treatment mamo (bilateral) and bilateral us sch for Monday. Nervous as my r (unaffected) feels weird with slight zingers at times but MRI and breast exam are neg. L br is still tender and mamo's have always been painful for me, the tugging and squishing on these little cystic breasts. Ugh hate mamo's and they can never see much due to dense tissue. Well I'm feeling good so hoping all is good!

My small local store didn't have the teas mentioned so I may just have to go to Whole Foods tomorrow after I take my sister to the airport tomorrow. I took some more MOM pills tonight so hopefully I can go at least a little more in the morning. Wish me luck! I am starting to worry a bit because tonight when I tinkled there was blood when I wiped and I think it's coming from the vagina! I had been bleeding a little off and on some since September but had no bleeding in Nov. So now with the bloating I've had off and on, bleeding off and on, lower left abdominal pain, vomiting on Monday, constipation, etc., I'm scared it's ovarian mets or ovarian cancer! The doctors have all thought the bleeding and bloating and tiredness have been hormone related and my ovaries trying to "wake up" after chemopause. But it's so hard to think rationally right now as I just don't feel right. UGH!!! Anyway thanks again for the tips. I'm getting tea tomorrow. Praying for a good poo. Ha! I never thought I'd be having these issues in my 30's!!

Lisa, let us know how things go on Monday. Thanks again and I'm still thinking of everyone waiting on results and tests. HUGS!!!!

Luv, do you still see blood spotting? Just curious, did you menstrate before your chemo? Could the blood be from a new hemorhroid from the constipation? You have had alot going on down there, try not to think mets. It is prob related to the constipation. Let us know.

Luvmydobies: As Meadow mentioned, I too think it might be related to the constipation. Bleeding can happen from the strain, the harder stools, etc. Also, I had light spotting about the time frame where you are ... it went away and never returned. It was due to the fact that chemo put me into menopause. The spotting stopped and never came back. Stress is probably now adding to the mix and that can also cause digestive problems and more constipation. I'm sorry to hear you couldn't find the Smooth Move. I have found it at grocery stores and WalMart. Hey, PM me your address and I'd be happy to ship you out a brand new box of it. I saw on the internet there is also one called Smooth Move Senna.

Meadow, yes the blood is definitely coming from my vagina. It mostly comes out when I pee or poop. I have no menstrual cramps though. It was the same when it started in September. My periods were always regular prior to chemo. They stopped after my last A/C treatment before starting Abraxane in May 2013. Chemo ended in August 2013. I started bleeding in Sept of this year and it was off and on stopped in Oct, no bleeding in November. Started again last night. I pooped twice this morning but it wasn't impressive. I took one Zofran Monday night in the ER. I took 3 or 4 on Tuesday. I'm still having upset stomach off and on. I hate thinking the worst all the time. Hubby is getting frustrated. I wish I would've pushed for a CT scan in the ER. My white count was slightly elevated and my urine had trace of protein, ketones and some mucus but nobody seemed concerned. I'm praying it's not a tumor causing a blockage or something! UGH... Thanks for being here when nobody else understands. It's hard when you can't even get support from the hubby. It's not that I don't trust the doctors but how much can blood work and a urinalysis really tell you?! C Diff is always on my mind also since I had it three times. It haunts me the same as the fear of mets!

Inspired you're a doll for offering that. I'm going by Wal Mart after I drop my sister off and I can't find it there I'll let you know. Thanks so much!!!

luv, when are you due for pap....etc? I had hysterectomy this summer before all this due to light spotting. Mind you, I am 53 and had not had a period in two years

They did find the very very very beginning of uterine cancer. Had not penetrated at all. My MS was a god send. I did follow up recently. He may have encouraged chemo, but not 100% it was needed. The taxol I did...granted only 3 treats that

I understand about DH. I pray so hard daily to use my words so carefully. He does so much....of course not nough in my mind. As I lay in bed with feet up to get rid of Edema, with floors needing to be vacuumed , clothes hung up, and more

I started putting benefiber in my water. I think it is helping along with colace, senna

Try and not stress. I know it's easier said then done

    Hugs
