torigirl - not only do you have to do all the stuff he usually does, it is always when other stuff breaks, falls down, or somehow malfunctions, lol! That is always how it worked for me whenever my DH was TDY/deployed! We seem to be a Murphy's Law bunch at my house!

Hello all,
So far, so good.
Had bone scan this year and x-rays. Back pain and pubic bone pain, and lots of it.
NEM, thank God. (But way too much radiation.)
Mammogram last month. Treated breast ok. "Good" breast same as last year--had the scare last year. Second 6 month call-back.
So, on with the tamoxifen. Dodging the AI's. Was walking 1-2 miles several timea a week. Joined a group and now working out regularly since February. Midriff shrinking. Not much weight loss.
Turns out that one of the group's leaders had the same breast surgeon and radiologist as I did.
Karma?
So saying my prayers and just grateful for every day.
Still aiming for my dream: to dance with my husband at our grandchildrens' weddings.
So happy to log on and connect with the 2010 Sisters.
When I check the "most visited" on the computer, BC.org is still there....
God bless us all.

Hey Redsoxfan, its good to hear you are doing well. Sounds like your exercise is paying off. I started exercising more too and ended up asking for an x-ray after I started having hip pain. I was worried about it being something else, but it turned out to be exercise related. My doc said to stop trying to run and just walk. My pain finally went away when I gave up trying to run. I really wanted to do a 5k but I guess I will do it walking...
take care!

Has anyone heard from Annette???0
-
shelly - I started walking and gradually increased my pace and still use the walking motions so as not to have all the jarring that running did to my bones and joints and now I speed walk and can to a 12 min. mile which is really fast. My oldest daughter is a distance runner and keeps a consistent pace of 8.43 min. mile for 6+ miles. When she slows down a litte I can keep up with her for about a mile or two then I am exhausted. So keep dreaming of doing a 5k and you can do it faster and easier than you think. Never know how fast you can walk till you try, but work up to it slowly.
granny - how did it go at the doctor visti?
Hugs to all,
AJ

Thanks AmyJo I will give that a try just as soon as my 12 hour work days end...
Can you all please pray for my Aunt Jean? She is the only one in our family that ever had BC. She had a double mx about 10 years ago and no other treatment (one small IDC < 1 cm). I just found out that she is on a respirator and morphine and is not expected to live much longer. She is 62. Apparently she had a major recurrence (had back pain in April) and went in and they found extensive bone and liver cancer so advanced they elected not to treat. She lives in Vancouver BC.

Thanks for the prayers, all. Aunt Jean is gone and no longer suffering. This disease is awful. I'm really shaken by her sudden turn of events.

Shelly bless your family, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers through this difficult time.
Granny - do you have a LE therapist in your area? If you do try to see them, at the first sign of swelling my surgeon's nurse practitioner sent me to one.
