Haven't posted here for awhile. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Anyone having to deal with the snowstorm in the east - stay home and be safe. Treatment will still be there when the roads are clear again.

We have a good 10 inches here, (and still snowing) and the roads havent even been plowed. Not where I am anyway. Im sure the highways have been, but the news is showing them snowcovered already. Its a mess.

We have had 7" here at my house and some place around town have had as much as 10". The roads were not too bad from the reports, but we did not venture out on them from here. We may try tomorrow afternoon if things are still clearing up. DH and SIL got the sidewalk and the driveway cleared this morning and some of the snow has melted off the fence today so maybe tomorrow will be a little warmer.
Lindy137 - Hope the headaches clear up for you. I know how awful they can make you feel. I have migraine headaches every once in a while.
Glad to hear everyone had a wonderful Christmas. Hoping for a Happy New Year and better things to come for all of us in 2011.
Everyone here is telling me it is time to head to bed so I will be heading that way. Night all and hope everyone has a restful evening and a joyous day tomorrow.
Joy and blessings, Amy Jo

Wow, reading about the snow adverntures reminds me of why I moved to FL. Everyone stay put and hunker down. Love to all! Everyone take it easy! Lindy, glad you are feeling better. There is nothing worse than a migraine. GD you just stay where you are! Missing a tx or two is OK. My rads center took a 4 day weekend over the 4th of July. I liked it, gave my boob a break. AmyJo, wow, that is a LOT of snow for Raleigh!
Hope everyone has an easy week of it this week.

Barbara, I think we need to move to Miami if it gets any colder! This is ridiculous! Only the laptop is keeping me warm right now!

Deep South Texas is not any warmer right now - have had freeze warnings two nights in a row now. Thinking about moving to the Caribbean

So was Santa good to you? I sure hope so. I have to say that I looked around our table and realized that everyone I loved was there and they were all smiling, (and so was I). Does it get any better than that?
All the very best for a peaceful and calm, healthy new year. I am so glad to kick this year in the butt.
take good care and just breathe. . .

There are alot of things better than doing rads. I would rather take out the trash than go to rads and that's pretty bad

Shelley, with you on Miami. If they only spoke English, I might consider it. Jo, I would rather have a root canal than do rads. Tek and Omaz, I am so happy you had wonderful holidays with your families! Just seeing a loved one smile is what Christmas is for me. Ginger, you are missing the nasty weather they are having in the north easy but you had your share last winter!
I really shouldn't complain...it will be 60 for a high tomorrow. I know, I know, I am not rubbing it in but it hits us so hard when it goes down to 30 since we are so NOT used to it.

BarbaraA - I would do the root canal anyday.
We had two nights of freeze warnings and we are usually close to temps as you. It was in the 50s yesterday and I just about froze my butt off.

Jo and Barbara, I made us some hot chocolate! Enjoy! It is supposed to warm up toward the end of the week. Well I can't figure out how to post a picture so you'll have to use your imagination.

shelley - Thought I would lend a hand! Thanks

Jo and Barbara you two make me laugh with taking out the trash and root canal. With the way my ithcy skin as been with rads I think I agree with you0
-
Jo, nice to see that you're back with us. Missed hearing from you.
Burr... sorry Granny you're stuck in PA. They also had to cancel the football game - not done often so it must be really bad. It's cold in S FL too, unusual but it happens. A coworker said she saw snow flakes Sat night. The traffic is bumper to bumper! I think they all fled the North to come for some sun.... No way here. It's just windy and cold. Wishing my house had a fireplace so I could keep warmer. A cup of that hot chocolate sounds fabulous
DD in Charlotte was snowed in for Christmas, they had fun sledding something she's not used to doing since she's a cracker. Saw some awesome pic's that would make great postcards.

I got the best present ever. My DD#2 and her family arrived this evening so I have both DD and their DH and all 5 grandchildren here at one time. Talk about a house full. We will be having a lot of fun with whatever snow is left tomorrow. Today the 2 grandchildren that were here had a big snowball fight with the neighborhood children (2 little boys). The boys all took turns being on Kaitlyn's side because Granpa helped build her fort and it was the best. When it got around to Matthew and Kaitlyn against the neighborhood boys, the neighborhood boys finally gave up and called the end. Not many can matche Matt and Kaite when they team up together.
Well I am off to bed so that I can get enough rest to join in with all the family activities for tomorrow. Hope everyone has a restful evening and a joyous day tomorrow.
Joy and blessings, Amy Jo

MOrning all. Oh AmyJo, how wonderful to have your entire family at home with you for the holiday! So happy for you!
GD, hope you get home today. !!

Amyjo- So much fun! Sounds like that little Kaitlyn got some of Grandma's genes. Don't mess with Texas!
Granny- Stay safe until the roads clear. A short delay in rads won't make a bit of difference.
We are snooooooowed in here in NYC. It is a winter wonderland, all white, quiet and beautiful (other than the winds that are roaring through). My friend who came for Christmas is still "stuck" here, so we are going to take on a house project to save our sanity. Am I actually going to finally clean out that closet? This could be scary! Off to warm up some curry, squash, split pea, raisin soup for lunch.

Hi everyone,
I'd like to join in here too. I'm in the middle of this bc stuff, finished surgeries and waiting to go to chemo next but with big questions.
Did anyone here end up doing CMF chemo or just opting out with a Onco of 20, and a definately positive node?
I'm on the CMF question thread, and a bunch other threads just trying to get as much info as I can before going forward. I am really worried about doing any chemo with some preexisting conditions I have, but also scared not to do something....

Welcome, Lee. Some of the women on this thread have done CMF and I am sure they will pipe in and offer you support.

Hi lee7, Sorry you have to join us, but this is a great place to be. I'm a bit ahead of you but not by much. My Onco score was 24 so a bit higher than yours. I started chemo, but had to stop because of some issues I ran into. My feeling was though I wanted to hit the BC with everything I could. If I could have continued the chemo I would have without a second thought. Your stage is higher than mine, and the grade is also higher which is something to think about.
