YKYACPW you start to develop a whacked sense of humor, and your plight starts to look ludicrous, which, in turn, seems hilarious. That's when you have a new problem of controlling inappropriate laughter. It's a coping mechanism, I know, but it is then that YKYACP. Lols

YKYACP when you are googling “Why are steroids prescribed after chemo" at 4 in the morning after a night of being unable to sleep! I wouldn't mind too much as it's only for 3 days, and yday was day 4 and I didn't take it this last morning. Oh well, hopefully only one day extra of lack of sleep.

    Zzzzzzzz

Scwilly--I know the not sleeping effect of steroids from asthma. I have gone 3 or 4 days/nights without sleeping more than a few moments at a time. Makes me feel very odd. I've learned that I can take some Xanax or ativan at bedtime and get at least a few hours of sleep.

Hopefully shaken it off last night and had a better nights sleep. Though it didn't help my DH was heading on. trip across to the east coast today - and is always v restless when he has an early flight! Back on in 2 weeks after my next dose of chemo! I keep your advise in mind!

YKYACPW words start to escape you while speaking, you can't remember the names of certain people you've known for years, and you have the paranoid thought of forgetting your name one day when being introduced!😋

Oh MissBianca you are not alone, you can include "or forgetting your birth date when asked for the (insert any number)-th time in a row" as well.

It's funny, I can remember and recite my birth date without thought, ask me my age and I need a calculator!

Strangely enough I can recall my home phone number from childhood, don’t bother asking my cell number...or what I ate for dinner last night.

    PHEW!!

I thought I was the only one who could remember my childhood phone number, the police and ambulance number (pre-911 days), but not what (or even IF) I had for breakfast or lunch!

LOL too true Spookie! Native & Spookie -I’ve always had pretty good long term memory and terrible short term. Treatment made it worse, but has got better the further out I get. Thankfully because I don’t think the hubs appreciates me forgetting his birthday 2 years in a row....ahhhh this is the life! :)))

The humour on here is great ladies! Egads I forgot our anniversary last year. I actually hadn't thought to blame that one on the hormones (or med-induced lasck thereof) at least I'll know what to blame it on this year.

Feline, omg it's a great excuse....everything from overdue library books to parking spaces. The possibilities are endless....I hate baby/wedding showers (like HATE), now all I have to do is send a gift! We paid dearly for this 'inalienable right'. LOL Joking! well, kinda.

You know you are a cancer patient when ... you are talking to someone about your reconstruction, they ask a question, and you reply, "do you want to see them?"

I have got to stop this. Today it was my Esthetician. She thought they looked good.
