I did not take chemo or radiation but I was on arimidex for five years. During that time my weight went up between 10 and 15 lbs. I did not lose the weight when I stopped taking arimidex. Meanwhile I got older. It has been quite a challenge losing the extra weight and continues to be a challenge. But I hope to persevere and reach my goal weight.

I did not go to WW on Monday, so do not have an accurate weight to post. I weigh at the gym but the scale does not give a precise weight that I can trust to be accurate. It's a scale where you slide the weights and it doesn't seem to work well.

Down 3 lbs from last week's disaster. Down .5 from 2 weeks ago.

I didn't have chemo either, but I'll bet your activity level has gone down. The weight won't just slide off, but once you can be more active, I think you'll be able to lose. I had a reverse reaction to Arimidex. I was freezing cold and lost weight. Everyone else gains and has hot flashes.

I am up two pounds this week. But I weighed myself on a different scale as I was at my parents house this morning. So, maybe that's the difference?

    Keep at it everyone!

I am up a 1 pound. I haven't had a real period in 20 months (with the exception 15 days of odd spotting in June) but this past week I felt like I was having one! I was starving!! Even though I eat pretty healthy I was eating double! I was also a little whiny. (Which DH says is not allowed...no period no whiny...lol) congrats to everyone for sticking with it!

No progress to report.......since I have not been working on it, that is not suprising. GRRR....

I am essentially the same-down .2 this week. Eating the same and dont feel like I can really restrict my eating any more than the current level. I will be interested to see if I drop any more continuing to eat healthy at similar amounts. BMI 24.1 so OK but I weighed 3 lbs less 5 years ago and well, 22 years ago I was 15 pounds less. I can dream!

well the two pounds I had on last week are off. Back to the same spot; working on not losing weight so much as building muscle. My upper body strength is abysmal after all these surgeries. My birthday is in two weeks and when the DH asked what I wanted I said a few sessions with a personal trainer who maybe knows a little about BC and lymphadema risk.

Falconer, That's a great idea. I'm sure the wrong exercises could be a problem. If you can't find a trainer, perhaps a physical therapist who knows about lymphadema risk would be helpful.

The 3-day road trip from northern MN to home in south Louisiana did me in, even though I didn't indulge in excessive eating. I'm up 4 to 5 lbs on the Evil Home Scale but not as high as I was last October. So my WW efforts did pay off. Hope to have a better report next Wednesday.

Down 1.5. I'm noticing that my weight fluctuates in relation to the amount of salt I've eaten. Pizza or Mexican food will make me gain - along with french fries which arrive salted. I have HBP, so limit salt at home.

To my surprise today I was down a lb. from my WW last weigh in, which was several weeks ago in MN. I'm 5.8 lbs from goal. Again! I love my WW meetings. They're very important in keeping me motivated.

During the past week since we arrived back home in Louisiana, I have been eating healthy and I feel like I was rewarded.

I vacation as often as possible! (Which is why I have to diet the rest of the time Loopy)

Well I'm in Sydney again looking after my parents. Mum has severe pain which is limiting her mobility, so I've been assisting with transfers, toileting, hygiene (the 4 mornings she doesn't get assistance), pushing her in wheelchair/walker. Dad doesn't have the energy he used to so has left the cooking and washing up to me. I abandoned keto within the first few days and eventually fasting, instead stuffing my face with biscuits, Cheesecake, u get the picture! No gym of course and I've only done Pilates on YouTube once. The main problem is I don't have a car here and can't really leave Mum for more than a few hours, and I did this to go to my 3 weekly herceptin/perjeta treatment last week.

Now I have more control over the cooking I thought I could try a few keto meals, Mum will eat anything but dad wasn't impressed! I'm trying another one tonite, we will see ... I'm really hoping Mum's hip bursitis will respond to the cortisone injection 2 weeks ago, but so far it hasn't. It's difficult not knowing how long I have to stay for. I know I need to do Pilates regularly for my back issue but must admit I've been using my abs every time I'm pushing her, so that is something. I guess I just need to be more disciplined ...

I hope everyone else is seeing results 😃.

Bella, I'm not sure anyone can follow a diet under your circumstances. Don't worry about it. I do hope you can do your back exercises. Perhaps 2 10 min sessions.

Bella, I agree with Wren. Those are very difficult circumstances for maintaining your keto regimen. Hugs and praise for your devotion to your parents.

Haven't checked in here in ages, but my weight has been pretty stable at 145.4 at the WW meetings I've been to the last several weeks. Two vacations since I've been here last, so I am taking it as a small victory that I maintained instead of gained. Home for quite a bit now, so can at least start eating more healthy and follow the WW plan to see if I can get to my goal weigh of 140.

    Maintaining. Better than gaining!

I was up 1.2 lbs after vacation but it came off easily, so it was probably related to excess carbs and sodium. Lots of walking helped avoid the gain. I have been focusing on eating healthy and I am inching downward slowly (or should I say “ounceing down”) and am at my lowest weight in 3 years for sure and only 1 pound from my previous normal weight of about 6 years ago, which is where I wanted to get back to. I will continuethe focus on healthy foods and I will see where that lands me.

Way to go, TwoHobbies! Love the expression "ounceing down!"

My Evil Scale must have been playing tricks with me this morning. I weighed twice and it gave me a low number. It finally occurred to me that I could get rid of the scale and buy a new one. It normally weighs me 2 or 3 lbs higher than the WW scale.

Down .6 this morning to 144.8 - a new low for me. Like twohobbies said, ouncing down, getting closer to my goal of 140. Celebrated by buying a new pair of dress pants that actually fit - got a look at myself in the mirror at church the other day, and those dress pants were too big and baggy, I looked like my mother! (She had the skinniest little butt and big belly, so all her pants gave her saggy butt!)

I had a great weigh in at WW meeting on Monday. I'm down a total of 10 lbs. Just 4 lbs from goal.

Up 1 from last week (also from yesterday). Not going to worry about it.
