Congrats Carole! I know what you mean about clothes fitting better. I find I undo my pants buttons far less than I used too :) At WW this morning, up 1.8 to 151.4. Last week I had just dipped below 150 for the first time, but I looked back at my weight since May and I've been up and down, hovering around 151. Still 11.4 lbs from goal of 140, but have lost 11 lbs since I started in March. These last 11 lbs are going to be tough for sure.

I stayed the same, which means I didn't lose what I'd gained last week. I guess I'll have to get serious. Hard because SIL is coming to visit this weekend.

I am down 1.2 lb. I will take it. I also bob around the same range for a long time and then after about 3 weeks my range gets lower ever so slightly. I am not suffering too much so Iwill just keep up the method of eating healthy food but not starvng all the time. Yes its so hard to lose the closer you get and the older you get!

I missed last week, I think, because I definitely didn't see your big plate of cucumbers, Varga! That looks delish.

Pat, so glad to hear that you're keeping that eleven pounds off; even if you haven't hit your goal, think of the progress you made

I'm up 4 pounds since I did that fabulous cleanse in the spring. The weight is coming back on. I started exercising again this weekend since stage two surgery last month so my hope is that I'll start to lose again...

Falconer - the down time after a surgery is hard! Then if you have any "crap" to go along with the after. I have a hard time allowing myself time to bounce back...You will be bouncing along soon!

Down 7.5lbs today. I lost all the weight I gained while on holiday in just a week so I’m really pleased. Only problem is that I’m now just about to gooff on another holiday (!) but am hoping that I’ll be a bit more restrained this time having learned my lesson the hard way... x

Found a new WW group meeting to go to - I'm on a local WW facebook group, and many on there keep raving about their groups and one particular leader. Not knowing if my current leader is on the facebook group, I private messaged the new leader to see where and when she has meetings. It's 30 minutes farther for me, but it is silly for me to pay the WW fee and not go to meetings, just weigh in. So I'm off to a new group that I hope will inspire me to lose the last 11 lbs. Very happy to have lost 11 - I'm starting to break out the "skinny" clothes again, it's a good feeling.

ScotBird, 7.5 pounds, WOW! From alternate day fasting? What did u eat the other days? That is truly an amazing amount in 1 week! I think it's important to still enjoy ur self when on holiday, and food is an important part of that. Since u know u can lose ALL the weight QUICKLY, u can fully enjoy the foodie side of ur vacation. I know I can't lose it quickly (for whatever reason), so I know I need to be more careful or I will regret it 😬

Down 1.1kg. BMI 29.9, overweight, no longer obese, yippee! 🎉 I carry my weight around my belly, very dangerous I've reduced my fat target as I've just started using a new app called KetoDiet, and I used their calculator. It doesn't have much info on micronutrients at all, but they have heaps of keto recipes and they use ur camera to record the info from barcodes on food, which saves a lot of time inputting the data of brands not already in there. I'll stick with it for a while and see if it meets my needs. I'm also looking at buying a breath keto monitor to check that I'm in ketosis.

I'm virtually back at the gym doing what I was doing before surgery and radiotherapy now, but I've lost a lot of fitness. But challenging myself is the only way to improve, so I'm pleased to be able to do this. I'm still having back pain so swapping out some exercises.

Hope everyone has a good week, I'm off to lunch today and gonna eat what I fancy, 😊 oh well I'll be back on keto tomorrow!

Bellatassie, congrats on getting over (under?) obese! Breaks are good. From what I read you don't have to be in ketosis constantly to lose weight.

Scotbird, yes, holidays are a problem, but sort of a good problem. Lol. I try to lose weight before holidays. So if I go over, there isn't too much to lose. This has actually been my strategy for maintaining weight over the long term.

    Down 0.1 kg.

Busy week with the grandkids. Oncologist appointment on Monday and I'm down to 142!! So excited to see the numbers going down even if it is slowly! Oncologist told me I looked great and it's those reinforcements that keep me moving toward my goal of 130-135.

Bug round of applause for everyone who is staying at this weight loss journey. Even of the scales do not show a loss our bodies are feeling and looking better!

    Let's do this!

Yay to all the losers and maintainers!

Varga, you are so right, weight is a number, it is how you feel that is important. We are up, we are down, pants are tight, pants are loose. We talked about this at WW meeting yesterday - sometimes people lose 75 lbs, but they are still not happy with themselves. For me, my goal is to get into the normal BMI range and stay there - for my health more than anything. I want to continue to be that active retired person, not the couch potato, and I so am drawn to the couch potato life! So I need to work on staying active and losing/maintaining a healthy weight.

Went to a new WW meeting yesterday with a new leader - what a difference! New leader is so engaging, does a little supermarket segment where she finds foods from different stores to eat (and gives you the point values). Group is talkative and supportive, I am so happy to have found some new motivation to get to my goal. Happy to report I was down 2.4 to 149 - 9 more lbs to goal! But leaving for a short vacation this weekend, so we will see where I am in 2 weeks!

Down .5 this morning, but still above where it should be. SIL is coming for a visit this weekend, the house is being painted, and DH is having heart problems. They're trying to get him in for a pacemaker today or tomorrow. My fingers are crossed until that happens.

down .6 (of my 2 vacation pounds). Why do they come off so much slower than they go on?

Hope your DH gets in quickly and all goes well, Wren.

Forgot to get my weight this morning but I was the same as last week on Monday. Next week will be a new start of sorts (1st day of retirement), so I’ll be spending more time at the gym and cooking.

Congrats to all the losers. I was going to name everyone but as I double checked, I see nearly everyone had a productive week, good job!

Sounds like everyone had a good week. i am exactly the same but fairly happy with that because I did eat out over the weekend so its good to know if I choose the right foods i will at least maintain. However I know to lose more I have to eat at home.

Congrats on your retirement Illimae. I am sure if I had more hours to exercise and cook that it would be easier. Now you can focus on you.

Wren I amhoping everything goes well for your husband.

    Hi Everyone,

It sounds like lots of good news. I'm so encouraged by all of you. Ilimae, congrats on the retirement! Wren, hope your DH gets to see the dr soon. Ruth, I always like to take a little of my vacation home with me, lol. Varga how nice to receive compliments from your doctor.

I weighed the same yesterday. I'm back up four lbs from my goal weight. Trying to exercise every day, but the rain here is limiting. Yesterday the DH little DS and I rode bikes on the trail. Here's my muddy boy

imageIt poured on us and it was fun, sort of.

    Have a great week everyone!!

Hi everyone, I’m on holiday so no weigh in until 9th August for me. I’m trying to make healthy choices but the ice cream here is very delicious and the wine is also good. I spent a few days in Dubrovnik, which features in Game of Thrones as Westeros. It’spossibly the most beautiful city I’ve ever visited. Lot’s of tourists, but not too spoiled for all that.

Now I’m on an island up the Dalmatian coast. Also beautiful and very relaxing. We are 9 teeenagers and 4 adults sharing a holiday rental house and self catering so quite a lot of logistics required! I love all the supportive comments here. We are all doing really well to keep focused on our health and fitness. Great job everyone!

Bella alternate day fasting always seems to work well for me. On the eating days I eat a lot, exactly what I want but on the other, fasting days I am strict, and maybe eat only a couple of apples or oranges, and that’s it. Whatever seems to work... love and light to you all. X

I was not able to weigh yesterday and I didn't attend WW meeting on Monday. My two weeks in Louisiana, where we live for 8 months of the year, has ended and I am back in northern MN. I will weigh the next time I go to the gym and plan to attend WW meeting next Monday.

Congratulations to losers (winners!) and also to Illimae on her retirement.

Congrats Illimae! You will love being retired.

    What a cutie pie Falconer.

Wren, hope all is well with DH.

    Scotbird, enjoy your holiday.

Still mindfully eating, we are going away next week camping for a few days, always go off plan on vacation, but try to make up for it with lots more walking than normal.

    What a sweet picture, Falconer!

ScotBird, your vacation sounds wonderful; and I think sampling the ice cream is mandatory....at least it is for me (which is why I have to exercise A LOT Loopy).

WW weigh in yesterday afternoon. I'm up to 168.8, a 1.2 gain from my last MN weigh in, but a bigger gain from my Louisiana weigh in when I was down to 166. So I need to exercise and eat healthy and reverse this trend.

Despite the gain, dh and I ate at Dave's Pizza after the meeting in Bemidji, a 45 minute drive. Pizza is such a treat, and Dave's serves good pizza with the crust of your choice. And I had a cold glass of Coor's Light. Today I'll be playing 18 holes of golf.

I'm not down on myself because I did pretty well under the circumstances not to gain 5 lbs or more the last three weeks when I spent two weeks at home in Louisiana visiting my mother daily in the nursing home. There were lots of bought meals and very little activity.

Wishing us all success and a happy lifestyle.

Down 0.7kg. Disappointed, I'm very close to my macros each day 🙁. Oh well, will just have to keep plugging away. Hope everyone has a good week.

Maintaining again this week but it’s better than gaining. Today is the 1st day of my leave/retirement, so I plan on spending more time cooking healthy and going to the gym, hopefully that will result in some weight loss too.

Down 4.5 on the "husband in the hospital and I'm trying to do everything in the house in 2 hours in the evening diet". I have been eating healthy food, but clearly I must snack a lot at home. Certainly no exercise at the hospital.

Hope your DH is doing okay, Wren.

I am up a couple ounces; my excuse is that we are finishing up a house makeover so have been eating out a lot (my next week excuse will be that we were at a family reunion). Geez....
