Down 1.1 - I got back on track using loseit.com and agree with Marie that tracking everything makes a huge difference.

Down 1 to 162.5 - been yo-yoing around that for a good month now, so I'm trying to up the exercise.  So many weddings, graduation parties, cookouts...  is there ever a good time to lose weight?

Down .5 to 136. This is back to 2 weeks ago. I need to get into the lower 130's.

Hi everyone.  The exercise/running threads seem to keep me honest so here goes............

I need to change eating habits not just exercise.  I've been running and haven't lost a smidge.  (c:

Welcome Adey to the weigh-in topic.  I've been following your progress with C25K on the exercise and running threads.  You are doing awesome!  I tried to do C25K a couple a months ago, but after week 1 I could barely walk - developed bursitis in both knees.  So in the meantime I've been doing intervals 3x a week on the elliptical, hoping to get my muscles built up for another shot at C25K, this time on a treadmill instead of outside.  Have a 5K obstacle race coming up in September, which will turn into a walk if I can't run!

I've been losing weight very slowly since the end of February - even with increased exercise.  But I think I am getting toned, which is a nice side effect.  A good friend of mine says I look narrower from behind - I'll take that complement!  We just got to be vigilant with watching what we eat, and eventually the scale will start going down.

same. June is almost over, half the year almost gone. I'm glad to still be here but wish I could go down at least a kilo in 10 days.

162 - up .5 lbs  been increasing the exercise so I'm feeling more toned.  Going to be 100 here today and tomorrow, very unusual for New England, so I'll skip my walks outside and go to the gym instead.

Same here - no loss, but no gain either.  I'll take it.  We're getting near 100 temps here too today and tomorrow - I'm going to see if I can find a youtube of a aquatics workout and do that!

I started tracking what I eat June 3.  Knew I was eating way too many sweet and not enough protein and veggies.  I'm down 12 lbs and have 88 lbs to go.

Optifast continues to work well for me...I keep losing about 1.5 pounds a week with only light exercise. I know I could speed it up with more exercise, but, well, I don't. Undecided

Plus, taking it off slowly may keep me from having to get a tummy tuck later on, right? Wink

Down to 163 from my original high of 204. My new goal is 140 - 145, and those last 20 pounds may be even harder to lose unless I step up the exercise.

Some people in the program are losing more than I am each week, but most of them had more to lose. Some are just exercise fanatics. Not me.

Tonight is weigh-in....and then on July 11th, we start Transition! (Where we slowly "transition" back to regular food....) We'll start by replacing one shake with half a cup of veggies and 3 oz of protein. Then each week, we'll swap out one more shake with real food. The list of acceptable foods is small at first.

No one wants to stop the shakes since they work so well! But the docs and the program facilitators promise us that we will continue to lose weight during the 14 week Transition phase.

I just need to be healthy enough (and at my goal weight) for a September exchange surgery. Will need to talk to the Optifast docs about increased protein needs for healing.

Congrats to all who are losing, and those who are trying!!!

I haven't been able to weigh in because we're on vacation. I'm trying to be good and hoping that it hasn't gone up too much while I've been away.

Sounds like most of you ladies had a good week! =)

Up 1.2 lb. Not very happy about that. Loseit says I am under my daily calorie requirements. Will just have to see how it goes next week

    Thanks, Adey! Smile

Well, I went back to my water aerobics class for the first time in over a year - it was wonderful! (It's at a rehab hospital and the water is 90 degrees....sooooo soothing for stiff and sore muscles...)

Unfortunately, this morning's good workout didn't have much effect on tonight's weigh in Wink... loss was only .8 of a pound, but who cares.

I've realized how much I need to step it up in order to lose weight. My metabolism has really slowed down.

Plus...I have to make some decisions about delaying my exchange surgery... Transition is going to take longer than I thought, and I want to be at my best health before going under again.

Keep up the good work, everyone!

I have stayed the same - exactly!  Kinda dissapointed as I did the relay for life last Friday (walked 19.5 miles overnight!) AND have been doing some digging in the garden nightly AND have gotten in the pool a few times!!  Just hoping that I have lost weight, but then built up a bit a muscle to replace it!?!?!?

Keep up the great work, everyone!!

Just got back from vacation. Lots of physical activity but even more food. Will try to brave the scale tomorrow, but it won't be a pretty sight! Frown

Same again! Could it be a stuck scale? I will add 30 minutes of walking on top of my daily exercise regimen and see if that works. I could also cut back on the dark chocolate. Naah.

No change - 162 again.  Not bad considering we were away last weekend at a wedding.  How's everyone else doing?

still up two from my vacation; but since it was even higher, I will take it.

Down .4 today - I was actually surprised cuz I've felt somewhat bloated, so I'd braced myself for a gain.  I guess that makes up for the times when I've been sure I've lost, and I've stayed the same or gained.

Heidi - don't go crazy and give up the dark chocolate - it's one of the primary food groups and absolutely essential!  Wink

Down 2 lbs for a total of 15 lbs for the month of June.  Last two BP measurements have been "normal" rather than pre-hypertensive. Woot.

Grrrr. Up 1 lb. That's what couch potatoing will do. Plus a big party on Sunday.
