Down 0.5 lbs....not bad considering that we were on vacation last week...I'm happy! I'm now down almost 10 pounds in two months. 38 more pounds and I will be in the normal range for my height.

Down 400 grams! Happy day! My husband is away so I'm taking the opportunity to quit the social eating, otherwise known as dinner cancelling.
Barb, that is awesome! You can do it!

Up 2.5 lbs, to 163.5. I guess there are only so many parties you can go to before the scale yells at you. Since last wednesday we have had a 50th birthday lobster boil, graduation party, 3rd of july party and 4th of july party, not to mention 2 poolside barbeques with our neighbors because it was so hot. Seriously need to get back on track here.

Didn't even weigh in this week between the power outages and the 4th celebrations. I think I'll hide out till next week . . .0

Down 1.5. Weighed on Fri so had a couple of extra days to lose. Chasing grandsons seems to be good exercise.

Hello, Ladies!
I seem to have missed a few weeks. Down to 159 at last night's weigh-in...that's 30 pounds lost on program, and a total of 45 pounds down from my highest of 204.
Even though I have pretty much doubled my exercise, it's not showing up on the scale. Since they changed my goal weight to 145, I think things are slowing down.
Next week: Transition! We start the verrrrry slow process of reintroducing real food into the diet. I'll swap out one Optifast product per day for 4 oz of protein, and half a cup of cooked veggies.
They don't want any digestive pyrotechnics after four months on a mostly liquid diet!!!!

Blessings, how wonderful for you! You have found a program that works for you, and you have made the effort. Good for you!

The last 2 weeks I have remained exactly the same! Will have to see what this week will bring - hard to avoid all of the summer BBQ's and ice cream bars!! Will keep moving to try to not gain!!

blessings, hope your transition to solids has been smooth. Congrats on the weight loss!! Hang in there.
fmakj, same is good! Wish I had remembered that when I complained last week (or whenever it was), cuz now I'm up 800 grams! It must be my bones getting heavier.

Up 2 lbs. Gotta be water weight or muscle. Reminding myself all this work is about regaining stamina and eating healthier. The weight is just a nice bonus. So no bonus this week.0

I plead the fifth amendment.......

LOL Ruth!
161.5 - down 2 from last week, but still up from the week before, and my pants are feeling rather snug.

I forgot to check in last week because of the Fourth! However, I looked back, and last week, I would have shown no weight loss or gain...my weight was the same. This week, however, I have lost 1.6 lbs for a total of 11.1 lbs since the end of April. I am still loving using the Lose It! online program. I like that I can eat whatever I want as long as I don't go over my calorie budget for the day and that I can earn extra calories if I want by exercising extra. It has definitely helped me to pick more healthy choices and to watch my portions. I am grateful for whoever pointed me to this program...I know it was someone here on the forums.
Thank you for the encouragement, Heidihill, and I hope everyone else has a good week! Sounds like you're doing awesome Blessings! I hope your transition to solids is going well.
I think last week was hard here because it was so hot here and my body was holding water but I've been trying to drink a lot more water the last few days and the scale is going down again so maybe it's water weight.

Hey ladies.........have not posted for a while, but wanted to check in.............Remember the hypnosis I was doing........it was working great, but not fast enough........why you ask..............everytime I would listen to it, I would "fall asleep"............I have never heard it all the way through..........it is a great idea, but I can't stay awake............my kids suggested doing it as soon as I got up.....
Well my son, is a Director of Leasing for a real estate developer, and he just leased to the company Medifast....they will occupy one of his properties.............he is going to ask them if they will work out a deal with me to try their plan..........my Dr.'s have already approved it............I know, I know, it is a "quick" weight loss plan, but honestly, I need it to be that way..................I am so filled up with fluid (thanks Femara).....that I can barely walk for more then 1/2 hour............I tried everything........more water, less water, no salt, elevate the legs.......nothing helps.........I can't do the things I use to do, and it is driving me nuts...................of course the swelling also creates aches and pains, and I do belive I am developing neuropathy in my feet...........
I have curbed my eating (thanks to the CD), but at my age (77), it takes a lot of not eating to work.........also because of the fluid retention, and aches I can't exercise..........not even walk far..............so here we go again....................either another "gimmick", or another chance to feel better...............It is not cheap to do this program, but what the hell.......................I COULD FEED THE WORLD WITH MONEY I HAVE SPENT TO TRY TO CONTROL MY FAT ASS...........................Here we go again......................keep tuned................lol

Ah Ducky, the one thing I am glad you have NOT lost is your sense of humor!0

Hi, Ducky - I am coming off four months of Optifast meal replacements. Tonight I have my first solid "real" food in 16 weeks!
Not sure which Medifast plan you are considering, but if I might make a suggestion....make sure it is medically supervised....very tightly!
Get baseline labs and EKGs. Keep a record of any side effects. I found that on a Very Low Calorie Diet (like Optifast and Medifast) my liver enzymes shot up, and I got a sludgey gallbladder (precursor to gallstones). It also affected my blood clotting factor.
However, the symptoms are temporary, and do go away when you increase your calories.
Optifast was very expensive.....but totally worth it. I am now almost 50 pounds lighter, all my lab work is normal, and I am more active and feel better than I have in 20 years.
To me, it wasn't all that "quick"...I'd lost some weight before my BMX, but on Optifast I consistently lost 1.5 - 2 pounds a week. That's the same as what you'd expect on Weight Watchers.
Wishing you the best!!!!

Blessings............true about the 1 1/2 t o 2 lbs on WW, but after the first few months, I came to a roadblock.........Its largely due to my age..............of course not to mention I have to lose a "small teenager"...................
I went on another program years ago called Weight Control for Life.......great program....hospital run, and I did fantastic...........lof course I was only 54 then, and wi;th no ailments..............."long time ago"...but your right.........I have a blood disorder..........Idon't clot well, thin blood, so tell me "why did I have a heart attack..so much for that theory..........an;yway.........what did the clotting factor have to do with your Opitfast..would like to know..............I do know abut the gall bladder..............heard that before on the other liquid diet..........now with Medifast I have to eat 1 lean and green meal.............daily.............we shall see......

Good Luck on the new program, Ducky! I too, am very glad that you still have your sense of humor!
Haven't posted my weight loss for last week yet!! I am down .2....... yes, that is a decimal!! I will still take it as I have not been doing well with eating, but doing very well with excercising! We are leaving on holidays on Tuesday. If I remember, I will try to weigh in before I leave!

Have fun on your holidays, M.L.! And congrats on the exercising and weight loss. Every bit counts.

Down the 2.5 pounds I gained over the 4th of July. I'm off for a long weekend in Chicago.....home of Chicago style pizza, Greek Town, China Town etc. etc......I'm thinking I'll be working on those same pounds again next week!

Up .9 - haven't weighed in for 3 weeks cuz I was afraid of what the scale might say. OK, back on the horse! Ruth - enjoy Chicago - remember, calories eaten on vacation don't count!0
-
Down .5 to 135.5. Was hoping to be lower for my first followup appt on Friday.

Down 200 grams.

up 1.5 to 163 This has been a tough month with eating control. And so hot it's hard to do the exercise I should be doing. I'll be doing a happy dance when I break into the 150's!

If nothing else, at least I am consistent. I lose 1 - 2 pounds a week. Doesn't seem like very much, when I could be losing that amount on WW (if it worked for me, which it doesn't) but Optifast has, and that's enough.
I'm now down to 157 (from 204). I tried on my size 12 skinny jeans the other day and could barely button them, so I know I want to get down a bit more.
I'm hoping for exchange surgery next month, and that will put me out of commission for at least a little while. So much of my exercise takes place in the pool - 90 minutes of water aerobics three times a week, and biking and power walking in between. I hope I don't have too many restrictions after exchange!
Congrats to all the Weight Loss Warriors - this is a challenging time, what with vacations and other things going on!!!

I was down 1.3 lbs yesterday for a total of 12.4 lbs. I went over my calorie allowance today...it is my parents' 60th wedding anniversary and I overdid on dinner and also had ice cream for dessert so I need to get back on track tomorrow!
I hope everyone has a good week!
