    Thanks, guys.

My health is extremely important to me now. I am doing anything I can to avoid recurrence and to live life in technicolour.

I think I need to join you ladies. I finished chemo the middle of August and am almost half way through rads. And am starting to feel good again. I walked on my treadmill and did my easy yoga videos throughout chemo, but still lost a lot of muscle and have a decent amount of fat to lose.

I started the c25k today and did a Pilates video I hadn't done since diagnoses. I am really out of shape, but it felt really good to get started. I don't own a scale, but I am weighed every week at rads and when that is over I'll buy one of my own so I can continue to chart my progress.

I'm really dreading Wed. I've just gone crazy this week and it shows on the scale. I'm wondering if the sudden onset of clouds could be a factor. I have a really hard time with the dark winters here. Perhaps I should just start using the lights on cloudy days now.

Since I was weighed at rads today, I'll post my results today instead of tomorrow.

    Down 2.3 lbs!

Yay, Andrea!  It is already Wednesday here so it counts.

Wren44, a Vitamin D deficiency can slow your metabolism. Maybe check with your doctor about supplementing in the winter?

Same as last week for me.

    argh  +4

That's what happens when you wander into the birthday zone.  And it's not over until Oct. 3 or so.  But, I've got to think I may be going to get my period and am retaining fluid... but who knows? I didn't have one in July or August so, it'll be a surprize.

Up 1.5 pounds.  BUT, last night was our 30th anniversary, so we went out for a fancy dinner at a nice restaurant, and just enjoyed.  We went whole hog - appetizers, main course, and an obscenely rich chocolate cheesecake for dessert.  And champagne of course.  With all that, I think 1.5 pounds isn't bad!

Hopefully this will set me up for a great number next week . . .

Back to last week's 132.5. It was as high as 135 on the weekend, but I tried to cut back severely and it seems to have worked.

Heidihill, My Vit D level was 46. My onc thinks that's fine, but I think it's too low. I do supplement, but it didn't raise the number much. It was 44 when I wasn't taking any Vit D.

Up 2 to 161.5 - a lot of emotional eating this past week so I'm not surprised.  Going to a wedding Friday, but after that it looks like a couple of weeks with no events, so maybe I can get back on track.

I actually lost about 1/2 of my summer weight gain - down 3.3lbs!!  I'll take it!!  Now to keep at it!

Celebrations do the worst things to the scales!  My family is having a supposed 'surprise' party for my DH and I's 25th anniversary this weekend (it is not until October 16th, but this weekend was the only time all the family can be available!).  Just hoping to not gain by next Wednesday!

Congratulations to NatsFan! A 30th anniversary is certainly reason for a big celebration! Don't know if this is true for everyone but since surviving cancer I am especially grateful for reaching special milestones like anniversaries and high school graduations. We have a HS senior in our house this year and I get teary just thinking that I might not have made it to see him graduate.

Weighed today and down 1 lb. Yipee! I had my doubts about today's results before I stepped on the scale. Ate out several times this week. Wish I could speed things up a bit with losing, but down is down and that's good.

42.5 lbs gone and 62.5 to go...

hi all, I'm a regular on the Let's Post Our Daily Exercise thread and need extra motivation so am joining you here.

I've lost 30 pounds since my highest weight back in July 2010.  Steroids and eating comfort foods during chemo ballooned me up to 200.  I've been stuck at 170 for the past three weeks. REALLY want to see the 60's.

I eat healthfully for the most part, walk every day and do yoga at least three times a week.  BP is good and I feel well.  Can't be the pringles so it must be the tamoxifen, right?  Sealed

    Hi Badger!

I was down .4 of a pound, might have been a little more but DH ran an errand at 9 pm last night and came home with a bag of tacos (he was getting some fishing tackle, so I'm not sure how that happened Undecided). Eating tacos before bed is not exactly conducive to weight loss!

Went for a big fancy fitness test yesterday. My weight is down a bit: 249.8.

    Phew.

There's all kinds of further information I will get from the professionals shortly. Hoping I did well.

I weigh exactly the same as I did last week. Oh well. I guess that's better than seeing a higher number on the scale.

I cut out the wine last night after Zumba, down 100 grams today.

Hi badger - maybe playing 60^s songs will nudge you there?  Akinto, what's a fancy fitness test like? Sounds intriguing.

I was up half a pound. But that is OK because we had a death in the family and I was eating 'funeral food' all week.

down 1.5 to 160 - still longing for that 9 in the middle - saw it once last month, so hard to keep it there!

I'm up a few oz from last week.  I'm sure it had nothing to do with the steak and baked potato I had last night, with a nice glass of wine.  Weighing in the day after date night may be a challenge!

    Hello Ladies,

Weighed today and down another one pound-43.5 down and 61.5 to go.

I know I am making progress and should be grateful for any and all losses, but I really was hoping to see the scale move a bit more. Sometimes I feel like it will take me FOREVER to lose the remainder of the weight I have to lose at my pace of about a pound a week.

OK, I'm done whining! Back to work on the treadmill now...

Weight is steady at 159. Was in Las Vegas last weekend, ate a lot, but walked it off. I have stopped eating carbs and sugar, and is exercizing harder. Will see if it shows next Wednesday. But this weekend it is Canadian Thanksgiving - oh well.

Forgot to weigh in yesterday so did it this morning instead - down .2 pounds - not much but better than a gain.  DH's b-day tonight, so good thing I weighed in this morning and not tomorrow! Tongue out
