    Best wishes Swimmom!

Crabby report from me today. Last week I was down one. Had two pieces of pizza Friday night and was up 3 the next morning!!! Ugh. Anyway, now I'm back to 2 weeks ago. 147 I am TIRED of seeing you!!!! I have been exercising very regularly and am feeling stronger and healthier, so I'll try to keep my eyes on the prize. (Good health!) But my eyes keep wandering to the shelf in my closet where my Goal Jeans are gathering dust.

I did weigh yesterday morning - 163.5, down 1 from the previous week, and 1.5 since New Years Day.  No exercise to speak of, and just trying to be cautious with normal food consumption. Hoping to join a new gym for some change of pace and encouragement to get moving again, which I know will help with the weight loss too.

138.8 down almost four pounds from last week.  (Had a tooth extracted so eating is still challenging.  I can't really count this as true weight loss but still, that's what the scales showed.)

Holy crow, since Sept. 1st I just realized I've lost over 30 pounds.  Sheesh.

Am the same as last week. I confess I've been eating more and exercising less so metformin has helped already. But maybe that wasn't the idea...

    Congrats, Marple!

no weight loss yet- but no gain either. Trying to eat less.  It's a process, right?

Holding steady at 119 lbs, same as last Wednesday, and happy with that.

     Way to go Marple!

And, yes, Swimmom, it's a process. Any week you don't gain, you can be happy that  you're not headed in the wrong direction!

And there may be literally weeks where you plateau.  I don't really conserve any kudos for the weight loss this week.  I simply haven't been able to eat (chew) much.

Up 2 to 165.5 - was away last weekend so I ate my way through Washington DC, and really no exercise to speak of.  Still planning on joining the new gym, I'm in a rut at the old one, (and haven't been for 2 months either!) and this one is partially covered by my health insurance. Figured the money I save I'll put toward a trainer.  Hubby is beginning to get serious about losing weight - we both have had success in the past with South Beach, so will probably do that again.  Always better when we both do it. Plus football season is just about over, so no more get togethers where we always make poor food and drink choices!

Good for you, Marple! As for me, I feel like a dog running on a very slippery surface. Running like hell, but staying in the exact same spot - lol. No loss this week. Been eating cookies, ice-cream etc. Fortunately exercise prevented weight gain, but I have to pull myself together.

Still 131.5. Didn't weigh last week because we were having a delayed anniversary at a posh hotel with a nice dinner. Now I need to get off the sugar. Bought cookies yesterday. What was I thinking?

I havent logged in for awhile due to work stress/ deadlines but I am down two pounds. I have been religiously cutting down on carbs, that seems to help the most with weight loss for me.

Hopefully I can keep it up- I get SO hungry without bread and pasta!!! I am italian so it goes against my nature. But I am just sick of being plump. I feel like it is "now or never" to get skinny again. I want to see my hipbones! They are buried under about ten pounds right now.

Thanks for all the encouragement everyone.

    Hugs

I didn't get a chance to weigh yesterday because I was in a rush so I weighed this morning and I'm the same, exactly the same, as the last two weeks.  I was discouraged this morning but by this evening I decided I'm eating better for my health, so I'm going to keep it up and maybe one day my weight will also drop.  I do suspect I'm regaining some muscle that I lost when chemo flattened me. If this scale is accurate I am measuring 2% less body fat than last time I checked.  So that's what I'm telling myself!

Muscle really, truly weighs more than fat!

Worried for Wednesday.  This cold is making me really hungry!  I hope it is burning off a lot of calories.

Don't sweat too much about tomorrow's weight TwoH.  Posting simply helps to keep us accountable whether our weight is up or down.  The fact we are reading this thread is a good step.

Yes, TwoH, our purpose is to encourage one another, not to impress each other. We all have our disappointing weigh-ins.

I think cold does make you hungrier. That's why winter dishes are more substantial. Probably goes back to when we lived in caves.

    Here's a quote I found for us:

A lot of people are afraid of heights. Not me, I'm afraid of widths.  Loopy

    Here's another one:

My weight is perfect for my height, which varies.

I refuse to weigh today - but I'm getting on the treadmill. So annoyed with myself. Did they remove my self control (too) when they did my surgery?!!?
