Hi Sue, you are off in two weeks and I'm off in four!   Wow!  World travellers here and I am so excited about the whole thing and I bet you are as well.  Where on earth did you find suitcases that weigh 3.7kgs?   Really good to hear that you have completed your first full month of work and that has gone by sooooo fast!  As long as you are feeling fine that's a good thing.  Unfortunately once a BC girl always a BC girl but hopefully there is eb nough time between visits that we can forget about it for awhile.

    Enjoy you trip!!!

    Love n hugs.  Chrissy

Hi Chrissy - I forgot - where are you going? We leave on the 11th August and won't be back until 22nd Sept. I got the suitcases at Zelows - $89 - 72cm - reduced from $129. Mine's purple and DH's is black. I really didn't need one but I weighed my old one and it was over 5kgs, so it was worth getting a new one. They are made by the Australian Luggage Company - Ultra light range - 3 year warranty.

I can't wait to go to Paris - I am going to eat every pastry in sight.

    Hugs back at you :)

    Sue

My trip will take me to Singapore, London, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Raleigh NC, The Outer Banks NC, Miami FL, Hollywood FL, Branson/Springfield MO, Shell Knob MO, Denver CO, Los Angelas SC, Auckland NZ.....home!   I am toying with doing a day trip to Paris from London but it just depends on the cost.  I leave Adelaide on the 30th August and get back 6th October.  I am meeting up and staying with a lot of the girls from the forum and I am so looking forward to all of it!

    Love n hugs.  Chrissy

Lucky you!!! One day, I hope to go and meet my chemo sisters. How long will you be in London? We're only staying 4 nights when we get there to see the baby and our son, then we go to Ireland, Scotland, Paris, Wales and back to London.

Susie - congrats on a month full time - and going o/s!  Wow

You too Chrissy!  I hope you both have a wonderful time, and make sure you both stay safe :-)

I've quit my job.  I finally decided I can't deal with the stress of the job and all the crap that goes on in this place.  They've been amazingly supportive through the whole bc thing and time off and all that, but they cannot seem to control the stresses that other work colleagues cause on a lot of the people here.

I realised my health is more important to me than anything, and dealing with stress like this really isn't very healthy for me.  So - quit.  Don't have another job to go to at the moment, but I'm sure something will turn up.  Keep your fingers crossed for me anyway :-)

    Trish

Sue, I get into London at 5.55am 31st Aug and leave 12.20pm  2nd Sept and arrive in Philly 3.35pm  the same date but flying time is 8.15 hours.......lol.  I bet you can't wait to get your hands on the baby!!!

Trish, sorry it came to the point that you felt you needed to quit your job but well done you for doing it!!!  You are sooo right when you say you do not need that stress level.  Take the time to rest relax and enjoy until you find something else.  Fingers, toes and anything else I can cross are all crossed for you!

I was a granny at 45! but I'm glad as I had enough energy to do loads of things with the grandies and I'm still young enough to appreciate their sense of self as they grow into young adults and discover where their place is in this world.........lovely!!!!!!!!

Sue, I always say that age is a state of mind not being and I try not to put too much store in the passing of the years.  If I have enjoyed the days and months that cover the scratchings on a calendar then that is the most important thing and nothing else.

    Ok - I need help :-)

I keep forgetting to go online to order the melatonin.  I went to the iHerb site, and it won't let me order melatonin - say's it's prohibited for my address.  Then I tried to get the Biovea site up - and can't seem to get a US site - the Australian site is down for maintenance, and I don't think we can get it from there?  The only site I can get is a UK site.  Is that right?

Anyone have a link I can use?

    Thanks all!

Trish, I have been ordering mine throught Australian Biovea site with all my other supps.  The only thing is, I get everything else within a week but it takes about three or four weeks to get the Melatonin as it comes from Germany.  There has not been any problem getting it through as they just say on the packaging 'Suppliments'.

I just tried to go on Biovea and had no trouble at all......maybe what ever they were doing is done.  Give it a try and see what happens.

Susie - you leave soon?  Have a fabulous time, and Chrissy - can't remember when you go - but have a great time too.  Both of you stay safe please!?

Hey Trish, sorry I missed your post.

I head off on the 30th of this month so it's getting closer every single day...lol!   I am so looking forward to all this and catching up with all the girls I can in the USA.  I am actually starting to get very tired but I can rest up once I get on the plane.  I think I've planned everythng down to the last to keep myself safe but there is always the things that you can't plan that interfere with the best laid plans.  All I can do is hope that they pass me by and allow me to realy enjoy the trip as a whole.

Hope you are taking good care of yourself and goodluck with the job hunting!

    Love n hugs.  Chrissy

Hi Marie-Edith....WOW!!!  I didn't realise that your trip was to last so long!  Enjoy your time in Paris and think of me while you are there....I was contemplating going to Paris for the day while on the stopover in London but decided against it as I know I would like to spend way more time there than that.  Try and make the most of every day and love life for what it is.  Hope to see you when you get back!

Hi Girls - we're back. The trip was great. Grandbaby is totally gorgeous and smiled a lot at us. Paris was fantastic - loved the food. Now back to the grindstone on Monday. I was clever to have the rest of the week off to recover, wash, shop etc.

It's been quiet here Sue.  Maybe everyone's been too busy digging their veggie gardens and planting out their seedlings for a bumper crop of delicious home grown food.  Edited to add, and travelling round the world!

    Enjoy your birthday celebrations.
