It was a repeat of an old program about EnGenIC.  I was hoping there had been some progress.  Anyone interested might check to see if they are showing it again later in the week.

    Hello all

I've really been off the air for a while.  I told you all I'd quit my job at the end of July, well I've sort of been hibernating a bit since then.  But today I interviewed for a job and got it!  Which is nice.  I've been temping at this place for 2 weeks, and they are a really lovely bunch of people.  The job will be interesting, and I'm happy to be getting back into the workforce.

Sue - you are back?  Did you have a good time?

Chrissy - I've seen your amazing story on your journey - sounds like you are having an absolute blast.

    Love to you all

    Trish

Hi Trish - I posted on the previous page when we got back. Been home a bit over 2 weeks - loved it - especially the baby and Scotland and Paris and .. and ...

Congratulations Trish!!! Good for you - sorry I didn't say so in my previous post.

I have a job interview at work on Monday afternoon - it's for a higher position which would make an Application Architect instead of a Software Engineer - where they get these titles is beyond me :)

    Hi Girls

How did you go with your job interview Sue?  I was keeping my fingers crossed for you :-)

If anyone has pay tv there's a documentary being shown on "W" on Saturday night, called Her Story - it's the story of a number of women (10 I think) who areHER+.  I can't remember exactly what time it's on - somewhere around 9.30pm or 10.00pm - sorry brain doesn't remember these things too clearly these days lol.

Hi Trish - the interview was OK  but went for an hour!!! I haven't heard anything yet. I'm not particulary worried about whether I get it or not, just thought I'd have a go.

I just got home from MRI, mammo and ultrasound - ALL CLEAR!!!!!

Thanks Trish - I was in a bit of a state beforehand. I'm supposed to go every 6 months but didn't go in April because I just couldn't take it. They have marvellous new mammogram machines that take the pic SO quickly you wouldn't believe it. I forgot to ask if they give off less radiation.

Hope you are well and enjoying your new job.

Sue - I can relate to that, I got so worked up before my last mammogram and US.  Told hubby he'd have to come with me next time, just for the moral support.

New job starts officially tomorrow, all ready for it :-)

One of the girls on our Aussie Forum is in a segment on the Sunday Night Show on Ch. 7 at 6.30. It is about BRCA1+ girls and the decisions they have to make. Her daughter is in it too. They are going to follow up on her daughter's prophylactic mastectomies next year.

It should be a very emotional show. I like "Sunday Night" and I hope they do a good job presenting the story. I think they are very brave to go on television and talk about it.....brave and wonderful!

     Australian filmmaker Sarah Watt dies

    Much-loved filmmaker Watt dies

    When I'm gone ...

I was out driving when I heard this news.  I swore, then cried.  Both untypical for me.  When will this end?

I actually get annoyed when someone gets this publicity - what about all of the other women who died today from bc. I know it's sad, but do we really need this - I'd rather see the family get some privacy. Sorry - I'm having a bad day.

(((((((HUGS)))))))) to both of you on your day of need.  Any death from BC should be mourned for the loss of humanity.

I know what you mean Sue. For me,  I guess if no one famous dies then people will think it only happens to "other unknown" people.  I guess I related to her somehow for it to have got to me.  Sorry you're having a bad day, may tomorrow bring double joy to make up for it.

Thanks Chrissy.   Actually I'm having a great day, a great life.  Grief is normal and temporary.  It moves people to take action and appreciate life more and that was part of her message that she left in her life and films.  A great Australian.

    Hello all

    How is everyone?

I'm going well - new job is great and I'm enjoying it a lot.

Have had some bad weeks with the Arimidex, but this week has been great!  And ... only 4 more Herceptin treatments to go!!  Yay!!  Almost there :-)

Chrissy and Sue - I think I'm going a bit potty - I've been on the Biovea website and can't find melatonin at all.  I know it was there - but it seems to have disappeared now.  Yes - I was going to order it months ago, but with everything going on, it kept slipping.

I did get a script from my dr for some and it seems to work fairly well, so thought I'd get some more - but cheaper through the Biovea website.

Trish, I just checked and you are right, the melatonin no longer appears.  I have emailed them and asked the question I'll let you know when I hear back.

    Thanks Chrissy

At least I know I'm not going mad lol  I actually emailed them too, so hopefully they'll come back to one of us.  I'm wondering if someone has complained (ie medical profession) as it is illegal here, and they finally couldn't get it through.

I'll just go to the Dr and get another script I guess.  It's not quite as expensive as I thought, although bad enough $20 for 21 tablets.  But they seem to help.

Gilrs - I just checked it was IHerb I got it from. Biovea didn't have it when I bought it.

I seem to not be needing them as much anymore either just as Sue said.  I find that I fall into bed and just have time to get comfy and then I don't remember any more....lol.   Sometimes I don't even make the bed, I'm falling asleep in my arm chair at 7.00pm!  NOT GOOD!!!  I miss out on too many good TV programs.....lol.

I used to get mine on script before I found Biovea and the reason I went looking in the first place was that I felt $1 per cap was a bit much, particularly as I'm on a pension and that was a fair chunk per month.  I'll keep looking and see if I can find somewhere else as I will also run out of them.

    Love n hugs.  Chrissy

Try going here and then type melatonin in the search box - top left - when I typed it, MELATONIN came up and I selected it and hit the arrow
