Jackie, I'm so glad that you are getting good results, and I have also signed Mandy's petition. It's criminal that it disadvantages girls like Mandy.
Chrissy - ouch is right, I hope the antibiotics work for you and soon.

Kanga good to hear your news! And thanks for resharing the petition link. I’ve signed it now and shared, so a few others have signed as well.
Chrissy I’m in awe at your self control not touching that. Hope it clears up really quickly. Hope today goes smoothly and isn’t too hot. What a summer!
Delvzy, I hope things are going smoothly for you as well. What a roller coaster you’ve had.
I’m off for my last round of chemo this afternoon, in to work for the morning first as we’re running a summer school and it’s more than a bit busy. Hopefully I can hear most of a morning session before I leave. I know I’m lucky my bloods have been pretty good which has meant I’ve been able to work a bit and enjoy the grandchildren and I haven’t caught anything. I actually feel a bit emotional about today. The staff have been very professional and genuinely kind, though it’s still a lonely process.
Love to you all, and hope you’re keeping cool

Hi all. My face is starting to clear.......finally! I'm still on anti b's and have a repeat should it not be clear by the time I get through this lot. Had my visit with the onc and he is still happy for me to continue with the Aromasin and Affinitor with Xgeva once a month. The side effects are now way less as my system adjusts; my only bitch is the mouth ulcers of which I have a mouthful! My tongue, gums, throat and lips have all suffered with their appearance and today are so bad the only thing I have been able to eat is jelly. Thank goodness I like the stuff and a few less calories certainly won't hurt me......lol.
I have the heart echo tomorrow ......so not looking forward to driving to Clare in 37 degree heat but at least it will be a few degrees cooler than today.
Hope you are all staying cool and are doing well.
Love n hugs. Chrissy

Hi Chrissy, sorry to hear about the ulcers: they’re NO fun. You probably know all the tricks, but just checking you know about Kenalog which really works and doesn’t sting. Also rinsing your mouth after eating with a weak solution of carb soda. Hope they clear up quickly

Thanks Sue, yep, got all the goodies.....lol......just hope they do some good.

Oh Chrissy, mouth ulcers are horrible (((hugs))) my friend.
I hope you didn't have to go to Adelaide yesterday .... record breaking!
We are beginning to swelter again too. I hope it doesn't last as long as the last lot though. Can't wait for winter!

Thanks Trish, no, I didn't need to go to the city yesterday but I do need to go to Clare today and I'm not looking forward to having to go outside to get there. Temps are already 33 and heading for 37.......yes, better than 44 but still hot. Oh yeah, can't wait till winter arrives which for me will be March 2nd when we land in Manchester, England.......mean tempt for that time of year is 0 to 7......perfect!
Take it easy and try to stay cool.
Love n hugs. Chrissy

Chrissy I remember arriving in London one Februsry to visit my daughter, and going straight to TJMax for a warmer coat, which I then wore 24/7 I think! Take your layers!
It’s 33 even here today, but I’m back home keeping cool now.
But Trisha, do you remember what Canberra winter is like? You must like the cool weather! Lovely and fresh, though.

Sue, we will be going to the city on day before we go away for shopping and the first thing on the list is quality merino thermals. My daughter highly recommends them as they are warm without bulk.....she uses them when she climbs mountains.
I've just arrived at the cardiologist and am now waiting for the echo to be done. While I'm in Clare I'll do a little food shopping and make an appointment at the optometrist.
Well, got interrupted at that point so echo, shopping etc done and I'm now home in the cool. Have to wait a couple of weeks before I see the Cardiologist for results.....I'll keep you in the loop.
Stay as cool as possible as this heat moves east.
Love n hugs. Chrissy

Sue - I love Canberra winters!! That's why we moved here lol. I don't mind the cold, can always put another layer on, and get things done. We got to 40 degrees yesterday, and all I could do was sit in the aircon (which was struggling big time) and fan myself.
Tomorrow is supposed to be cooler so will be out in the garden deadheading the roses and doing general tidying up. I'll also be able to sort out my spice drawer, finally :-)
Thinking of you Judy - I hope you are comfortable.
Chrissy - you are in my thoughts every single day too xoxo

Hope that cool change come through for you Trish. Yes, there is much dead heading to be done here also.......I had such a lovely display of Rose's and a couple of days of heat and they are dried flowers on the Bush.😁
My mouth is so sore with ulcers from the Affinitor that I haven't been able to eat for the last few days......drinking has also been a problem so I will be phoning the onc on Tuesday and telling him that this is no quality at all and begin a conversation.........where it will lead, no one knows but I do know this is not what I want and I have no intention of going on holiday with a mouth this sore.
Thank goodness we had a really good cool change come through last night and even though 25 was forecast I think we only got to 21.....yay!!!! Now this is my sort of weather.
Thinking of you Judy and hoping things are going okay for you.
Love n hugs all. Chrissy

Cooler weather here today - not sure I'd call it a cool change though, humidity is through the roof. On a positive note though my neighbour across the road is an aircon technician and he came and serviced our aircons today. OMG what a difference! They actually blow cold air now lol. I had to turn them up and then off - it got too cold :-) Best part - he would only accept a bag of cherry tomatoes as payment, and saved me $400. I love my neighbours!
Chrissy - I'm so sorry about your mouth ulcers, and hope your onc has a sensible discussion with you.(((hugs)))

rocking my new hair today. Head radiation finished it off and I start chemo Friday x

Judy, I love your new hair.......you sure are rocking it. Hoping you are feeling a bit better now your rads are done. What chemo are they going to give you? Which ever it is I've got everything crossed that it kicks cancers butt, but not yours.
Yes, I've never had ulcers like these but I managed to get a piece of soft fish down my throat last night which made me feel better. Not much today so far but I'll make some clear soup for tea and see what happens.......it's time I gave my body at least a bit of nutrition as I'm feeling a bit weak for lack of it.
Great about your aircons Trish! Isn't it marvelous how a good service can change the way they work. 😁
The weather is is slowly warming again but the highest forecast is 35 on Wednesday.........high but no where near what it was last week.
Take it easy all.
Love n hugs. Chrissy

You are right Judy - that new hair is amazing, it looks great! It's so good to see you on here, we are all with you.
Glad you got some food into you Chrissy - you can't keep going like this though, if you can't eat or even drink, well ... you know what I'd tell you to do :-) Go to hospital. You can't let yourself get malnourished and dehydrated! But you're a sensible girl, you'll take care of yourself.

Chrissy ..so sorry about the ulcers ..I've only ever had them one at a time ..and that's been bad enough !
Trish ..yay for great neighbours !!!
We moved into our new home that we built last Friday..I love it 🤗..even I do still have boxes EVERYWHERE !!!!! Worst part of the job was cleaning the rental we had while it was built !!!

Hi girls........had the conversation with the onc and the result is to stop the Affinitor until I see him on 19th Feb. Won't leave much time to adjust to either lesser dose or new med and I might just say that I'll stay on the Aromasin until we get back from our holiday and then I will have more time to address all this crap. In the scheme of things, seven weeks is not really going to make much difference to the outcome.
The mouth is still out of this world sore but I did manage to get a cheese sandwich softened with tea and a very ripe banana down my throat today so that is a good thing and it certainly made me feel a bit better. I'll do some broth tomorrow and see if that will go down easy as well. I've lost 3kg since last Thursday most of which I think is fluid........yes I'm a little dehydrated but it's better today than yesterday and I'm doing the pinch test to keep a check on it.
Gonna be another hot one tomorrow but a cool change coming through again tomorrow night........thank goodness for that but the respite is only for a day before it starts to rise again........I'll definitely be happy when it drops and stays down.
Take it easy all!
Love n hugs. Chrissy

Oh Chrissy I am so glad u are going off that horrible drug,
0 -
I am going on s chrmo name of drug is Epirunici
0 -
Delvzy, are you pleased to be starting some treatment? The epirubicin sounds a bit aggressive, so hopefully very aggressive to your tumours! I had doxyrubicin with my AC treatment without too much trouble, so hopefully..... Thinking of you as you tackle this one, and wish you didn't have to.
Chrissy so glad you're getting a chance to build yourself up a bit before you travel. Hopefully that pays off big time with you being able to enjoy the places and people much more.

Hi all!
As the days go by I can feel my mouth healing......thank goodness! It's a slow process but I am now able to eat a bit more and drinking is way better. I am feeling better for the food intake as, even though I'm still tired, I am not sleeping near as much as I was.
Judy, good luck with your new chemo and I'm keeping everything crossed that it kicks cancer butt but not yours. You are in my thoughts daily.
I'm off to Adelaide again on Tuesday as I have my regular six month appointment with my Surgeon. I'm going to meet with my daughter first to go shopping for our thermals for the trip and then after my appointment I'm heading up to see my great granddaughter Lily for her third birthday. Back then to DD2 for dinner and catchup with DD1 and grandson to get some details of his three month holiday in Vietnam.............it's going to be a very busy day indeed.
Yesterday and today are hot again but apparently there is a cool change coming through again tonight......yay!
Stay cool all.
Love n hugs. Chrissy

Hi Girls
Sorry - I've been MIA. I had an "accident"! I had caught a gastro bug going around work, and while sitting on the loo throwing up into a bowl, I passed out, and hit the door frame going down. Once I was "back with it" and my hubby had gotten me up and moving, I had a rinse off under the shower and while drying myself felt sick again, so sat on the loo and was throwing up into a bowl again, and passed out - again, hitting the same things and making a pretty good mess of my face.
I'm ok though. No bleeding on the brain, no fractures or breaks in my face, but I've had a pretty good concussion and have been off work for two weeks recovering. Apparently I'm one of the few people who will pass out (not every time) when they are throwing up. I'm under strict instructions to sit on the floor and throw up into the loo in future, and save my hubby's poor heart.
I'm back at work four hours a day at the moment, until I can concentrate for a full day.
Chrissy - how are you going?
Trish

Hi y'all!
Yep, I'm guilty of being MIA as well but not for the reason you have Trish. OMG girl! You have been in the wars. Wow, two weeks off.......that sure was some concussion. Glad to hear you are slowly returning to normal.
Went to the Cardiologist on Wednesday for the results of the echo I had done a couple of weeks ago. I'm happy to say that all is good in that department.......woohoo!.......but he did refer me to a lung specialist......still following and asking why am I so short of breath. This is not urgent so don't see them until end of May. Saw my Surgeon also and he's okay....so am I....lol.......no seriously, he is happy with what's been happening and also wants to see me again end of May.
I get to see the onc next week to chat about where to from here because of my reaction to the Affinitor.......I am going to tell him that while I'm away there will be nothing as I don't want to be dealing with adverse effects while away........in the scheme of things, a couple of months is not going to make one iota of difference. Oh, and my mouth is finally clear!! Yay me!! It sure did take a while and the last bit of the last ulcer disappeared just a couple of days ago. It really is nice to be able to eat what ever I want.
Last minute bits and pieces have been purchased........you know, cat food for while we are away so the people looking after him don't have to get it, thermals for the chilly weather have been bought and clothing is being sorted. It's just two weeks from today that we will be winging our way to Great Britain. I picked up all the tickets etc from the Travel Agent on Wednesday while I was in town as well as my International driving licence. I've started the process of transferring funds to my Velocity Global Wallet so we don't have to carry a whole heap of cash. Just a few little things to do now.
Well, this little post sure has turned into a book......strange how that happens.....lol.
Take care all!.
Love n hugs. Chrissy ❤

I also have breathing problem. I found exercise helps with breathing. I walk 5km a day. Keep moving !

Hi everyone, a very belated Christmas and New Year. I am going a bit nuts lol because I have 3 adult boys living here again and my Granddaughter every 2nd weekend. It is lovely, but manic.
Love to you all, I do wish there were like buttons on everyones posts, I have read them all and am sending big hugs.
I have been having weird chest pains and short of breath for a while, it seems to be getting worse. ECG is fine, doc thinks probably stress. Could well be, but I always worry, I was warned my radio would likely cause lung and heart issues because of where it was so who knows, I never know what I should ask to be checked. Hugs to you all xx

Hi all
I'm glad that you are better Trish, not a nice thing to go through. A lady at work did the same thing a while ago and ended up in ED, she had bad bruising from falling over.
Chrissy hopefully you're all sorted now before your holiday. That's one place I would love to go too, Great Britain.
I have been putting off going to the dentist for ages and finally went last week, went back today and had 3 fillings. I have 2 more visits. I haven't been doing much, I don't have much energy in the heat.
