I was talking to a friend today about the Chris Lee fiasco, how stupid is he to send a picture. And apparently he was already warned by the Speaker of the House, Baenor (Sp.) to tone down his ways as far as partying it up in Washington.  Bright - I don't think so.

It is so sad for his family.  He was suppose to be quite the up and coming star.  Now, career down the toilet.  I feel sorry for his family.  Did he think no one was going to figure this out??  I'm in his district too!!  He'll be lucky to get out of this with his marriage intact.  I was sick when I heard this news.  What was he thinking??

I agree Maureen, how very, very sad for his family.  He obviously has a narcisistic personality that leads him to think only of himself, and not the embarrassment he has caused his poor wife. I would be contacting a lawyer if I were her, and surrounding herself with good supportive friend to see her through this difficult time.  Karen

Yes - it amazes me. I agree. Its got to be a personality that thinks your above getting caught, being turned in.. and with a young son too. Very sad.  I think there's got to be even more coming out given the quick resignation.  I was actually friends with his wife years ago. When they were just dating. She ended up to be a bit of a tool, but.. no one deserves THAT!

Ok- also tired of the snow. I sounds like a broken record. But to wake up early this a.m. and see more inches in the driveway UGHHH.

So my primary doctor is getting very old , I love him as he doesnt waste time referring you to a specialist (I see DR Berry Weinstein) but, his office hours are so limited.  Do either of you ladies have a primary doctor you like.  I am hoping to find a female.  I think they relate better.. Appreciate any referrals if you feel comfortable referring me.

Maureen- any luck with the lymphedema doctors

bevin, I'm in the process of changing PCP now.  Her first appt. for new patients was Apr. 6, I've heard she is very good as are the other female doctors in her practice.  But I am all the way out in Batavia, that would be quite a drive for you.

Can't wait til summer, both for the obvious reasons and to meet my new friends!  For awhile this A.M. it was snowing horizontally, my grandson is getting sick of shoveling, and I'm sooo tired of seeing it.  I usually reach this point in March, but this season I'm so over it now.  I think because its been so bitterly cold and constant with a few inches of snow each day.  Maureen may know of a physician in the Williamsville area.

Hi Ladies,  Well we wanted warmer weather and we got it.  It was so nice out today that everything was melting and guess what,  my ceiling are leaking can you believe it.  All the snow  back up on my roof and eves and started coming through.  My DH had to go on the roof and get all the Snow and ice off.  It stopped dripping but now I have a mess.

Life in Buffalo you got to love it.. I did go ice skating to day with my son and grandson only 2 1/2 it was fun.  It was the first time in 3 yrs since I went.  I love it.

Maureen I hope your DD had a very happy 21st birthday it a very exciting time.

Hi Betty, DD birthday was great, she had a lot of fun.  Has the same BF for the past 3+ years and that's who she spent birthday with, just family and him. Her friends wanted her to go a bar but she wanted to stay close to home. Your ceiling inside the house?  Oh man, hope homeowner's will cover. I'd give them a call. Today was a pretty good day, my thermometer said 41 degrees. Did laundry most of the day and watched the Sabres, good game, too bad they lost.  I hope they make the playoffs this year.

Let's start thinking of where we're going come spring!!!  Off to watch Desperate Housewives.

Hi Betty,  Wish I'd seen this post earlier, I was at his office until about 11:30AM today for #9 Taxol, only 3 more to go!!  Hope she doesn't need chemo, that would be a gift.  Did she do the onco dx test?  I know you mentioned all your sisters have the beast, that is really really scary.  Sending big hugs to you and your sister today. I hope she liked him, I really do. Let us know how she makes out today.  #9 is okay, just really, really tired with numbness in fingers and toes. They will weigh continuing tx vs. the loss of feeling every week now.  Only 3 more to go, hope I make it through all 12 tx. Increased the Vitamin B to combat the numbness, but it can be annoying at times. At least we have a little warmer weather for a few hours. How's the roof?

Maureen,  I miss you about 1/2 hr.  We had to wait a long time in the waiting room, but once we got in my sister loved him.  I don;t know if she has to have chemo her onco test was not in yet.  We were very disappointed so in two weeks we go back.

Only 3 treatments left, you made it girl.  I had the numbness in finger and toes also, it takes time but it gets much better.  I don't even notice it anymore just very little in my foot.  Wear are you going for rads?  It is nothing compared to chemo, you should do very well.

Yeah, onc's office was REALLY busy today, even my daughter commented.  We like to get the private room so I can sleep and she can do homework, when she saw all the cars, she went running down the hall to get our name on the list (LOL)  She got the room sweetheart that she is, and I got my nap.  What day do you go back?  my chemo day is Monday, for the next 3 weeks.  The numbness is getting on my nerves though, I will go on Kahlil (sp?) so don't know if it's at park club or spindrift, either way, from everything I hear, it's everyday and will take me longer to drive there. At this point, I just want this done.

Laura, not sure if you read this thread, if yes, Happy Birthday!!! and good luck with Tuesday chemo, we're getting there!!

    Love,

    Maureen

Karen, thinking of you today, hope all is okay.

Hi kindone and bevin, hope all is okay and you are enjoying the weather.

Why did we decide to take friends to Vidler's today?  What were we thinking?  The drive home was treacherous - snow, blowing snow, roads closed due to accidents in Arcade.  Next time we travel to East Aurora we will be sure to do it in the summer!  Made it home with all the essentials - Easter tatoos, parachuting rabbits, glow in the dark St. Patrick's day earrings.  I think we're all set.

I see I missed some stormy weather while I was in Pa., my 87 yr. old godmother passed away from cancer that had metastisized to her lungs.  It was her 4th bout with cancer, and the one that took her.  It was so hard to walk into the house and not see her there.  I was there from Tues. til now, we had tears and laughter, and now an emptyness in my heart.  She passed away surrounded by family and in no pain, I am thankful for that.  Thru out all of it she was the strongest and most loved by all of us.  I am glad to be home, I fear we have another storm coming?

Karen - so sorry for your loss.  It doesn't matter how old our loved ones are, we're never ready to say good-bye, are we?

I hear we might get a foot of snow.  I think I'll stay home during this one.

    Hi All,

Karen, glad to have you back on the thread.  I'm sure it was a rough couple of days.  Remember, she will always live in your heart. Be careful if you drive to Rochester tomorrow,  I'm not looking forward to driving to Park Club lane with DD either!  Calling for snow, sleet and freezing rain. Glad kids don't have school tomorrow.

Ellie:You make me smile, I love all that type of stuff.  Never been to Vidlers :(  Put that on the list of things to do.  Used to take DD to girl scout camp and summer camp that way and just didn't go.  The earring sound great.  I'm 100% Irish so we go all out for St. Patty's Day....corned beef and all! Those roads are unpredictable because it's so open and wind blows right across.  Hope you had fun at the wedding.

Bevin: Hope you had fun at the wedding.

Off to chemo tomorrow, wish me luck Laughing

Karen- I am so sorry to hear of you Grandmothers passing. It sounds like she was loved and really had a great family of support around her. I think the emptiness is hardest to deal with. Sending you prayers and strength. My mother is from Pennsylvania originally. Monesson area.( I think thats how you spell it.)

Maureen - good luck with Chemo. I hope you don't have too many SE's.   We are so close to one another, please don't hesitate to let me know if I can help in any way. Errands, etc.  Happy to pitch in where ever.

Wedding was very nice. I am feeling my age though.  I used to be able to party on till the wee hours at weddings. I love getting dressed up , etc. This time, we snuck out at 10:30.   I was exhausted and home and in bed by 11:30.

Hi Ladies,  back from #10, doing okay, jsut tired and sick to stomach.  I usually finish between 10:30-11AM so thinking I'll miss you. DD has to be to work by 1PM so we're on a tight timeline.  When the summer comes we really need to get together.  I feel like all of you have become my bff and got me through this one day at a time. Kindone/Betty  thanks for the offer of help, I really appreciate the kindness. Right now, I'm really bogged down between work and treatment, sometimes a little overwhelmed and thinking I should've waited to go back to work.  Feels good to get my mind off of the bc but keep getting so many e-mails from everyone, how are you etc.... I started just cutting and pasting reply, sounds cold but I'm sick of talking about it all the time, then my mind wanders.....well you know the drill.   I said to onc today, my biggest fear is reoccurance.  Not sure why, just don't think I can do all this again.  BTW, found out today the RO moved his office from Windsong area to Essjay by Farber Lakes, actually it's closer to me.  I go to see him next week to set all the stuff up, so I'll have a better idea of what to do. Onto the next step soon enough, two more to go!!!  doing the happy dance for two more!!.

Thank you all for your condolences, she was a very special lady and my parents picked well when they chose her for me.  Maureen, getting close to the end of  chemo now, bet that is a special marker for you.  I'm glad the RO is close to you, it'll probably get the appt. down to an hour for you with the traveling time included.  Just think, no more nausea for you!!!  Fatigue towards the end of treatment but far less than what you are experiencing now.  We are having a nice sunny day today, could use about 10 more degrees, but we are getting that tomorrow and then a 40!  Bevin, Conneautville is 1/2 hr from Erie to the SW, don't know if that is close to where your mom was.  It has a small Amish community adjacent to it.  Mostly small farmers and woodworkers.

Yay!!!  2 more to go.  Thanks for well wishes.  Did you know we're suppose to get another foot of heavy friggin snow on Friday.  Time to up the medication, I've had it with this winter.  I officially want to move (LOL)!!

Conneautville sounds like a great place. I love to browse through Amish things.  When I was visiting family in PA they held a craft/baked good sale and I bought so much stuff.  They are truly talented people.  Don't knkow if I could do without the comforts of modern day though, that would make me crazy.

If this winter doesn't get over soon,  I'm going to start drinking  and I don't drink.   Where the hell is that groundhog.  We should give him to Don Paul weather guy and tell them both to get their act together Yell
