Hope everyone is is fairing well, I have been doing well, healing-wise. Getting used to the new 'girls' I now understand why people wear their bras alot, I am just not comfortable (yet) without one....and here I thought I'd be itching to be braless as much as possible, go figure! I don't feel stable, like I am afraid something is gonna shift - I guess it's a good thing I'm in it per Dr orders 24/7 for the next month still, maybe by then I'll be used to them. Overall I am really happy, I think I have some rippling, but nothing I am overly freaking-about...yet ;-)

I had my second fill today - 80ccs. This brings me to 255. PS told me last time that 75ccs was a LOT and to expect to be very uncomfortable but I wasnt....so this time instead of 50ccs we just kept going to 80. I am really happy since we are moving along a little faster than the planned 50ccs at a time. I have about 100 to go to implant size - but he will overfill that so I could have 3-4 more fills. Yippie!!! But I am sure this honeymoon will end soon and I will start to really feel pressure. I felt the needle prick today quite strongly - so I know the nerves are coming back!!

..Looks like you'll be sporting some perky girls at your Memorial Day Picnic! Megan ~ I was wondering how you were doing. And I think I understand about the bra thing. Since I have been "massaging" my TE's like my PS wanted.. they are quite "flexible" (they are underfilled) and have a lot of "play". I tend to not go braless during the day as much anymore because I feel like I need to kind of hold them in. I almost feel like my TE's dropped and fluffed! My PS told me that it would probably be hard to avoid "some" rippling in certain positions with reconstruction. Fat grafting helps but isn't guaranteed to make it completely avoidable in all positions. Do you see rippling just standing up normal.. or is it when you bend over? Glad to hear you are still slap happy with them!!
.. that would be great if you never had to have a revision! .. and yes, I am in prep mode! Woo HOO! My pre-op appt is ONE week from Thursday! Happy Dance! Can't believe it is almost here... very surreal! 0 -
Susan my girls were always perky. The nurse at my PS office said my new ones wouldn't sag anymore. I told her I didn't. Sure enough she looked my photos and said "my you did have perky ones" My mom's doctor tells her she had breasts of a 20YO. Yes we have/had dense tissue.
I'm just looking forward to getting these things out from under my chin. The TE's fill so high up.

Boy, I really seem to be an anomaly with my TE experience! My TE's really look surprisingly like natural breasts in shape and do not ride up high nor does my skin look stretched at all. I thought it was because of staying close to my original size and having the skin sparing.. but most of you are in the same situation.
Hmmmm, maybe because of how my PS does things (TE type/size, not overfilling?) MyTE's are also very pliable which I believe is due to the fact of being under filled. So it's hard for me to relate with the anxiousness of getting the "hard coconuts" off my chest. Kinda a double edged sword because I hear everybody so pleased after the exchange because the implants are such a wonderfully dramatic difference from the hard TE's... I'm not sure if my exchange will bring about such drama! Damn, I wanted Drama!

Susan I am jealous your so close!!! That is awesome! And I have been surprised that I am not feeling the pain, tightness and iron bra that others have warned of either. I have been bracing myself though! And please, ENJOY the NO drama for once!!! Youve been through enough! LOL
Ao what about nipples? What does your PS do? I asked today and he said "Ill explain it to ya - but its really confusing - but its the best way to go"...and then we got talking about something else. Boo. He scoffed when I said some PS's use other 'parts' including earlobes, labia or 1/2 of your other nipple....he said HE doesnt do those things.....but I never did get out of him what he does! I totally have time to find out but it sounds like he constructs is out of the skin while doing the exchange. I hope so...one less procedure. Not like its a huge deal....but I will have one natural one and it would be nice to match.

SusansGarden my TE's were not too bad at all until the last few expansions. (remember I've had 9 so far). They weren't that hard till #7. My issue is they were pressing hard against my breast bone and ribs. I'm sure you aren't getting the weirdness because you aren't overfilled.
SuebeeBC my PS constructs the nipples out of the tissue that's there. There is an excellent explanation here: link It explains why the other procedures are dated and not done anymore. (BTW that's not my PS' site but this site has great explanations of everything).

GOOD news today: I got my LAST fill! I am at 510 right now, pics will be up shortly at timtams. The plan is to exchange for 500 high profile. SQUEEEE!!!!
I'm going to set the date for late May/early June, and I'm so excited.
I have to admit, these TE's look fantastic in clothes. Perfectly shaped. My PS's assistant came out when I was standing at the desk, after she filled me, and was like "you look...awesome! I haven't seen you with a shirt on for awhile!" It was funny
I am feeling confident about the size. I originally planned to go smaller, but I just feel proportioned with this size. PS said he thinks it's going to be a great result. I am pretty thrilled with him, let me tell you! My TE's are, get this: 275cc, medium height. Apparantly he likes to overfill them to get the size he wants with a smaller width TE, that's only my guess but I'm thrilled I don't have TE's under my chin, or in my armpits! They are riding a wee bit high but that is good IMO, cuz the implants won't be quite as perky and gravity DOES still exist I suppose...
But NOT today! Today I'm flying up in the clouds!

My expanders were filled to 365ccs and I was exchanged for 350cc implants, which seem a lot smaller. But I need to wait until that drop and fluff, don't I. I just had my exchange on Monday and I actually feel really good. He got the implants even, out of my armpits, and they feel like normal breasts should. I think this is a B at the moment (not sure if that changes after drop & fluff though).

I was surfing thru Tim Tam's site this weekend with the hubby.. and showed him your pics! Sorry. Is that too creepy! lol! You are looking good, girlfriend!! I'll have to check out the new pics! I need to update my pics on there before the exchange! Sounds like you will be heading for surgery around the same time as lago. Sue ~ I had the nipple sparing so don't know about that procedure. Lago's link has a great explanation though, and it really is amazing how real they can make them look!
kjbrown92 - So great that you feel really good only 2 days after the exchange surgery. If you were working at a desk job... when do you think you'd be able to return to work? I have my exchange in 2 weeks on a Thursday and am hoping to be back to work sometime the next week.

Lago thanks for the link. Not sure why the doc feels that is too complicated to explain. Looks pretty straight forward to me. Better than taking a piece of my nether region! YIKES....that area has done it's penance twice when I had children!!!
Cameron - LOL you are funny....have another soda!! 500??? YEOWZA....i think Im going to end up getting boob greed. I like that I am bigger than before but the projected size is only 100 bigger than now...and I dont know if I will think that is enough! I feel like right now I have my 'nursing boob'...about a B. I fit into my B sports bra that I wore before I lost weight. Ill have to go look at your pix...Ill definitely get boob greed.

Hi all,
Just had a fill this week to 420. They actually feel better than they have in a long time. I have figured out how to sleep comfortably on my side and If I feel a stomach sleeping crisis coming on (my favorite way to sleep) I have even found a way to do that also. Not perfect but reasonably comfortable! I am 5'9 and originally was a large C/small D and want to be smaller. I actually like exactly the size I am now if it went out a little more and was narrower. He said he will take care of that at exchange. He would like me to fill to 550. Said that due to my height, etc, if I were to put an implant in the pocket now at 420, I would look smaller.
I asked him about the type of implant he will use and he said he takes several in with him. Some depends on the width. Right now I am wide (16) and a high profile would not be appropriate. If it can get it narrowed down far enough he will do high profile. If not it will be the one step down. I trust him, and he knows I will be on his case if he messes up.
At our first meeting I faxed him four pages of questions in advance and he sat and answered every one. Told my husband after surgery he liked me and thought I was in "anteresting woman." lol...not sure if that is a compliment but we have a great relationship.
My exchange should be in July after I finish with Taxol in June. I can't wait! I will be hairless and skinny with the cutest foobies ever! I told the PS I want to be the first picture he opens and shows to people as his favorite success.
Oh, and those of you asking about the nipples, he talked me out of sparing my nipples as he said his will look better and mine were not symetrical and wouldn't go with the new twins. I just laughed. He will also use the skin around the incision area somehow.
Can't wait until I can join the exchanged group!

Sounds like you have a great repoire with your PS, fluffqueen! And if he can make you some better lookin' nipples, than more power to him! Since there is no guarantee that you will retain sensation, it's not such a bad thing.
Sue ~ I couldn't imagine getting "nipple material" from the nether region either!!! I don't think there is any way you could convince me it was worth it just for aesthetics!!

OMG I am never going to get dinner going if I keep reading these comments and laughing until my sides hurt!!!! EW EW EW EW! I cant even imagine!!!! Like I said, two rough deliveries did quite enough down there...no more trauma thank you very much. And I think I would spend a lot of time pondering my genetalia sitting front and center on my BOOB......that is JUST WRONG!
So my new girl here got its debut without 'fluffing' today at Zumba. I had an old sports bra I wore and fluffed my natural girl - pinning the fluff to the inside of the bra to avoid a mishap. I was pretty proud of myself for this step...but the darn bra was SO TIGHT that I think something will have to change. It was an over the head model. I have some better formed, clip in the back sports bras in a B that I can wear too...maybe those next time. Im feeling a bit sore today after this fill but nothing I need to take anything for. It was just nice to see growth! LOL My right girl is in PUBERTY!!!!

Well, I am not having anything done in the va jay jay area as once I am completely hairless, I think I will bedazzle it. That should keep my husband amused!
And yes, in deciding on the nipple issue, my PS said that sensation doesn't come back very often and he has had a couple patients who did get sensation back and it wasn't a good feeling. They couldn't stand to be touched in the area. I figure at 55, I'll just be cute and perky with good looking nipples.
We have moved on from that area already so it isn't too much of an issue now. While I don't have actual nipple sensation, I do have feeling all around in the area of my breast. Not sure if that will change when he does the exchange but right now I can feel everything but nipple sensation.

SusansGarden - My surgery was Monday at 11:15am. Yesterday and today I got up and got my kids off to school, and made dinner. Did laundry. Today I made two batches of cookies, and drove my 5yo to the bus stop (seeing if I can manage driving; which was fine, though the door felt a little heavy). If I were working a desk job, I could go back tomorrow, but I'd probably take a week off!! Just to get more energy back.
The whole pubic hair nipple had me laughing out loud!! I'm going for 3D nipples. I don't want hairy nipples!

kjbrown, sounds like you are moving right along, just be careful...I've been cleaning out my daughters' room today and something fell from the top shelf in the closet and wowza, my chest muscles reacted and are now burning and mad! I'm 2 1/2 weeks out and still don't have my full energy back, I feel good, don't get me wrong, but I am still pretty tired and trying to be verrrry cautious about my "sudden reactions" lifting stuff, etc. Nothing really hurts except my insicions are tender, so sometimes I DO forget and am quickly reminded to slow down...
I saw my BS for the 1st time since the BMX. She was happy with my progress, and get this - I don't see her for another YEAR!!! I cannot believe that, it is crazy that another part of this journey is coming to an end. I asked about MRI"s she doesn't think they are necessary, unless an implant is broken/problematic. She said that "if" I were to feel something suspicious, it would appear on the skin and (typically) be felt, kind of like a mosquito bite in look. She encouraged me to come back any time I feel concern, but other than that, see ya next year!!!
I will continue going to MGH for arm measurements for LE (I'm concerned, as well as involved in a long-term study) probably every 6 months. I will see my PS in about 2 1/2 months, and then after that, who knows? Probably another 3-plus months I imagine. I just finished filling out paperwork to be involved in another study run by Dana Farber, "Young Women & Breast Cancer". They will obtain a sample of my tumor, records, & blood samples. In return I do questionnaires every 6 months and random blood tests. I will be receiving info of any findings about this study. There's about 1,000 women participating and it will run for 10 years. I'm really excited to be a part of it...I can only hope this study can find something to hurry up and make BC go away!!!
I am really happy with the implants, they aren't perfect, but pretty damn close ;-) My only complaint is that my one boob that had migrated as a TE is not as "front & center" as my other boob. In a bra you cannot tell a thing, but if I lay down, it shifts naturally to my pit a bit more than the other one. Let me also say that when I lay down they look a hell of a lot better than my "real boobs" ever did (*sigh*, a bit of nostalgia here), they still look way better than "real boobs" in the laying-down position...When I lean forward and bend at the waist I see rippling on the sides by my arms, I don't think there is much I could do about it, the skin feels soooo thin near my arms, I think it's just gonna be that way. I don't feel comfortable braless, and was hoping I would, but so far they feel like they are gonna fall of my body or something like that ;-) !!! Shockingly, I prefer to be in a snug sportsbra, even for sleep...and to think I was SURE I'd be footloose & braless-free!!!My hub thinks I am being nitpicky, you know that "boob greed" Cameron brought up a bit back? Yup, even with implants there is still that twang of "greed" I feel entitled to "perfect" boobies, it's like nothing less will do, so ridiculous, I'm pretty darn lucky right now...I gotta get over myself...seriously!!!
All in all, for only being 2 1/2 weeks out, I feel good about it, all the pieces are kinda coming together and "fitting" the best they can. I'm still really early out, I hear I should wait another 2 1/2 months before I make any opinions about these girls.

Nice to not have to see your BS for another year! I see mine in June for my 6 mo checkup and am curious as to when she will want to see me again.. but I am stage 1, so maybe she'll want to go another 6 months? Though I just saw my Onc this week..and I saw my regular doc last month. Looks like I'll be getting felt up at least 5 times this year!!
How often will you follow up with your PS? I'll prob be seeing mine quite a bit this year since he does several rounds of fat grafting. Good thing I've already reached my medical deductible!!
