Thank you, Thank you, Thank you Megan, Lago, Seafoobs, and Susan! Very comforting to get all of your thoughts and advice. My mother called to ask how my appt went with the PS and when I gave her the blow by blow her only comment was, "You need to stop obsessing about this". And she's a wonderful compassionate mom 99% of the time so it just goes to show that if you haven't lived it, you can't understand it!
I'm not scheduled to go back to the PS until just before my exchange date in June so I guess that gives me lots of time to think about it and live through your experiences!

Lago thanks for the laugh!!! Glad you were able to find a new career!!!
I feel like my TE is high now...its higher than my natural one for sure and I just feel like its all there in my periferal now....guess I have to get used to that because it will get worse before better!

I took my 510 cc TE's out for a walk today. OH WAIT I mean I took my two little dogs for a walk today.
It was the nicest, warmest day of 2011. I wore capris and a tight little shirt.
All I can say is, as long as there are Hooters restaurants; I have job security. Heh heh. But I'll leave the pole dancing to Lago!
I think I'm going to go check out the "exchange city" thread, and see what's happening over there! Fun!

Hi ladies - it has been weeks since i have been on this thread...thanks for all the questions and answers everyone. Megan, i love your honesty and please thank your DH for all the "testing". I just got back from my porn filled vacation to the keys - yes, i was the porn star with my 425 TEs. Did I get the looks - they were so darn high and wide!
I am so excited to have the exchange...though I am still wondering if I need one more fill. Ughh. Decisions decisions....

Cameron...taking the girls for a walk???? LOL!!!
Well, dang now I am worried about having the ONE high and out there like a porn star....a rather deformed porn star with ONE BOOB!!! I already feel high. Tonight I hugged my BFF and she said "Ooo I feel your new little boob"....Thanks, girlfriend...I know its hard and not very big right now...you didnt have to tell me!!! But she is also 3 inches shorter than I am so I can imagine when I am 450 and not 250, Ill be poking her in the eyes with it. LOL, kidding.

Hey Anniemom, welcome back to the thread (AND Minnesota...were you shocked we lost all our snow? Or were you shocked we weren't still buried in it!) Oh Minnesota.
If it weren't for baseball and my beloved Twins, I would move. And yes, I am for once speaking of the baseball TEAM and not my boobs.
Sue, I can imagine what it's like to be a uni during TE time, because anyone who's seen my before pics knows I'm familiar with asymmetry. I ran into a door frame with my coconut shells today, that was entertaining to my coworkers. There is one coworker who is ridiculously "scared" for me and this reconstruction. I've told her all about what's goin' on but still it seems to make her want to throw up or something and she feels so 'bad' for me. I cannot WAIT until it gets warm enough to wear tank tops under our smocks, at work. She won't believe it until she sees it. THAT will be a fun day.

Cameron what a coincidence that your baseball team is the TWINS...LOL!!! I liked that. Living where we do, the closest team is the Reds but we are born and raised Bostonians so its the Red Sox...We have Reds shirts that we wrote OX on to go to the games...is that bad? ;-)
and OUCH a doorframe? I dont think it would hurt as much as before surgery but I cant imagine right now with the TE's....I am adjusting slowly to this latest fill. I have friends that are freaked out too with the process...one of them is scheduled for a boob job...she has NO idea what she will have to deal with! LOL
And ive been following your TE pics on the forum...you are looking good! Definitely weird to say about another womans chest!!!
0 -
Cameron, I did the door frame thing, too! ...that and a cabinet, car door, a weight at the gym...the list goes on ;-) I knocked those knockers into just about everything!
Sue - we are a Red Sox household, too...we'd probably be shunned if we weren't, living in these parts ;-) ...I liked what you did with the shirt, too!
0 -
Annie - I'd thank my hub but he was such a willing participant, I'm not sure I'd have to! ;-) I can only imagine what you felt like in a bathing suit, I tried my bathing suit top on with TE's and was floored by the look of them, I laughed out loud - total stripper-porn look! Good luck, maybe one more fill? Your close to the end, now!
Sue - better warn your friend to keep her eyes closed when you start hugging at 400 cc's!!! haha! I remember reading books with my daughter on my lap and she would try to "nestle" her head back and in, like she used to be able to do pre-bc...but those TE's held her head up and out, no cozy cuddling in there! ...so uncomfortable for her...needless to say we stuck with reading side by side after that!

We are a sox family here. Problem is we aren't matching sox. I grew up just outside of Boston, DH is from Chicago/south.
At least red & white don't class (different leagues).

Lago we can root for the Reds since they are NL - and doing a whole lot better!!!!! Mh DH is all Red Sox...Im a huge Pats fan. Thats OK here too because no one supports the Bengals and there is a strong Pats following here.
Megan - My son is my nestler....He isnt going to know what hit him when I get my implants. WHOA. LOL My BFF will just have to be careful with me for the next couple of months.

Hi everyone! Can I join? Even though I'm a Yankees fan?
Had a uni and TE on March 30. Started as a full A and hoping for a small or full B with augmentation on the other side. My first fill isn't until May 13 though and my PS has already told me that I have tight skin.
0 -
Welcome Kittymama...this is one of the most fun threads! I had a uni as well and was an A- before. My initial plan was a full B/small C and we'll see how it goes when I get there with my fills. My PS told me that I have 'young skin' (God Bless Him!!!) and should be able to stretch if I want it, but he wont let me go too big for my frame. I hope to be to capacity by the end of may with every other week fills.

And I didnt even mention the Yankees thing I like to think we are neutral territory here!!0
-
Yankees did someone say Yankees!
Seriously welcome kittymamma. To be honest I'm more of a basketball fan anyway

Sue & Lago,
Thank you for the warm welcome! Wow, you two are gorgeous! Seriously. I'm from the states (Hawaii and California) but am currently living in Toronto, Canada, planning to move to sunny Florida by the end of the year.
I want to go no larger than a B because I'm quite petite, 5'3" and 105lbs. However, one of my ex-bfs mentioned that I have the bottom to balance out larger breasts. WTH does that mean? I have a large butt? Haha. Also, I have many button down shirts that would no longer fit if I go too large. One good thing about the TEs is that there is a little bit more control over the final size.
Anyway, thank you again for the welcome!0 -
Lago, who's your basketball team?
0 -
kittymama are you serious!? Once a Celtics fan, always a Celtics fan.
0 -
We don't have very "successful" sports teams out here so it makes it a little difficult to be a diehard fan for the home team!
Welcome kittymama!! ...Wow..Hawaii, California, future Florida ~ somehow "Tornoto" does not fit in with that group! You must be anxious to get to Florida!... and I had someone pull the "but the bigger breasts would balance out your bottom half" ... I'd much rather work on reducing my bottom than trying to look even heavier on top! How are you doing with recovery after surgery? I assume you have any drains out?
I've bumped my TE's into several things as well! Somebody at work actually bumped into my TE and was all embarrased and apologizing and I had no idea what she was talking about because I didn't feel anything! lol! And I don't have any little ones to nuzzle with next to my chest (well I do have a 16 year old boy ~ but that would be just wrong! ) I do have 2 little dogs that love to climb on my chest every morning and give me "kisses".... they haven't seemed to notice the change in "elevation".
I saw my mother-in-law yesterday for the first time since Christmas and she was asking me all sorts of questions about the upcoming exchange...so I asked if she wanted to "see the girls"........ so as I'm showing her, her cell phone rings and I hear her say, "Oh hi, Judy, I was just looking at my daughter in laws boobs". I have no shame anymore!
Hope all you ladies had a fabulous weekend!

Susan wah ha ha ha....I can picture that!!! I havent shown anyone my TE yet...not sure if i will.
Lago - Celtics, of course!!! I coulda answered that one!!
Kittymama - aw shucks, thanks! and I lived in Hawaii for a time,,,,on Oahu, actually. And by getting bigger boobs, I will be balancing out my bottom too....but thats because I dont have a flat old lady butt yet and have been working hard at keeping it projecting and not sagging. I havent much in the hip department....just a nice little bubble out in the backyard. At least thats what I keep telling myself. And you are a teenie thing!! I think you'll be just fine.
To update you on that neighbor getting a boob job....well, I totally frustrated her today. I was asking 100 questions about her projected size, incisions, everything and I mustve been making faces because she said "why are you SO interested in my size??? Its MY choice how big I go and everyone's frame is so different!!!' I had to apologze and tell her that I was asking because all Ive been talking about and researching about for 6 months is boobs and I was just curious!! Truth be told, I still dont know how this lady thinks 420's are going to get stuffed under her pec muscles without it being a big deal. Everything about blood and stuff gives her the willies....and she wants to do THIS??? Really I had lasik 6 years ago and if I REALLY knew what it was like, I probably wouldnt have done it.
0 -
Oh Sue, I can just imagine you drilling your neighbor with questions! lol! I agree, still can't imagine having 420 stuffed under the pec muscles! And what about the skin stretching? How big is she now? Or does she have a lot of skin from sagging? Will she have to get drains ~ probably not since they don't take tissue OUT? Is she doing the incisions under the fold? ....... hey... go over to her house right now and bring her into the chat room so we can all ask her some questions!!!0
-
I'm finding this current topic of the neighbour's boobs very entertaining!
I too wondered how they shove those massive implants under the pec muscle for non-BC women. How did Heidi Montag do that? I think she is an H (for Heidi) now.
My hairdresser has 650 ccs - bowling balls - and she is massive! She's had implants for over 30 years (she's 50) and I think this is her 3rd or 4th set (I can't remember which).
She tells me that she has little or no breast tissue left and that she has no feeling in her nipples (they are always erect too). Tell your neighbour that!!
She had a saline implant deflate in 2009 - when I was going through my BC treatment - and told me she felt like she'd had a mastectomy same as me! I should post that in the "stupid things people say" thread!
She had to wait 2 weeks before she could get in and have both implants replaced with gummies (the 650s she's sporting now).
When I saw her last month I noticed that she seemed a bit more saggy than she did with her saline implants. Her boobs sit around where her elbows are.
She regrets not having a lift this last time because she says her nipples are off kilter and since they're always "on" it's kind of noticeable. But then again she's just wearing camis with little or no support.
Just look at what experts we've all become because of this!

OK, now we are really ON the topic of boob jobs!!!! If she only KNEW!!!!
Susan she isnt a large person but she definitely is like a deflated B I would say since now I am a complete expert on boobs and have seen her braless. LOL I would say she is about 5'5" and 130 would be generous. She has a thicker torso than I do though. And I am NOT broaching this subject again without fear of her coming at me with a carving knife...I think I pissed her off. But youre right...my TE's at 100 after surgery were KILLER and I couldnt lift my coffee cup for 2 days....and OH the pain of driving for about 6 weeks....and I only did ONE SIDE!!! Im a little anxious to see how they are going to stuff a 250 (perhaps) on my good side without an expander. But I couldnt say all this to HER because she doesnt like to hear about my scar let alone drains and incisions opening and literally ripping the muscle off your bones to make room!!! She IS doing incisions under the fold because she doesnt want them in the arm pit (thats when I showed her my scar from the nodes and I thought she was going to vomit. And she said she was tired of looking at boobs (photos of the PS's work)....oh she aint seen NOTHIN yet!!
Marie - I am with you....this whole thing is so bizarre!!! I am laughing at your hairdressers story!!

I had a conversation recently with a friend who really wants a breast lift and she said - "lucky you! you got a lift and reduction for free". Well I told her that this was not free that it cost me a breast - that shut her up.
I then went on to explain how the lift is achieved - anchor incision in my case - and luckily I got nipple sensation back.
She had no idea. She thought that they "pulled" something up from top. Seriously don't these people Google?

Today I had coffee with two friends who hadn't seen my breasts lately. They were "shocked and awed"!
I don't think that I'm very big but in my new bra (34DD) I must say I look pretty good in a low cut top. Lots of ample bossom showing now.
And the great thing is that it's all nice and tight not like before when I wasn't sure if something was going to fall out when I bent over!

Marie my BFF is a DD and wanted a lift and was so horrified when she found out what they do, she backed out. She is just about the only one who 'gets' how much work this process is. It IS rather ironic that I was sitting in the PS office asking for a boob job about 2 weeks before my DX...and I DO still joke that I get the 'free boob job' because I will end up being much bigger than before...but thats all in my defense mechanism. But I wouldnt let OTHER people say that to me without having such a snappy comeback as you!
Hey so I just got off the phone with my neighbor. She called to apologize to me!! She said she felt like she snapped because her siblings are making her super sensitive about her decision to get the 'job' done...and I got caught in the crosshairs of that emotion. I apologized back for overstepping my bounds and said that I was just concerned that she was getting all the information she needed before going forward. Anyway glad she called....I had been thinking about it all day. (But I still cant imagine stuffing a 420 UNDER the muscle!!!! YIKES!!!! Will I be able to keep my mouth shut when she talks about how much that HURTS??)

SusansGarden, thank you for the welcome and for asking about my surgery. I think I'm doing pretty well. Even did light workout today. It's been 12 days and I got the drain pulled at 7 days. You are so cute! You look about 25 years old!
As for Toronto, tell me about it! It was not in the plan, but my husband got a job here so here we are! I noticed that you're in Washington. I lived in Seattle for four years, going to school. Seattle was really pretty, but rained a lot!
Suebee, I also lived on Oahu. Was born and raised there. Haha, love me a little bubble in the backyard. Lucky you. I have a little bit of that plus a bit of hip to go with. Doing Tracy Anderson workouts to stave off the old lady butt as long as possible. My mom has no butt so hopefully, butt genes are not genetic.
Lago, go Celtics! I'm going to Boston in June, my first time there. Any recommendations?

Be sure to go to Harvard Square. Right up the street (toward MIT on Mass. Ave) there is agreat place for seafood, not too pricey and casual called the Dolphin. If you go there order the fried fresh seafood platter for me. Lots of ethinic dining in Harvard Square too.
There's so much to see. I once did a tour with m MIL and actually enjoyed it inspite of living there for the first 20+ years of my life. I highly recommend the boston museum of fine arts. Largest Egyptions collection in the US. I also remember as a kid the Isabella Sewart Garner Museum.
Faneuil Hall Market Place
New England Aquarium
Freedom Trail
Boston Comon
North End
Chinatown
Back BayActuall check out this page. The list is excellent. yes I've actually been on a whale watch twice. Both times we saw whales. They know where the feeding areas are.
I also love Salem. The house of seven gables is awesome.

I echo everything Lago said....I grew up in Boston too....
If in cambridge, John Harvards is a great micro-brewery...you should see a lot of the movie "the social network' in cambridge.
Faneuil Hall has street performers nightly starting in may or June - and all day Saturday and Sunday (I did that in my youth! LOL)
In the North End, go to Mikes Pastry for terrific cannollis....President Clinton made the motorcade go down those little streets JUST for Mikes....its ALWAYS crowded. Caffe Vittoria is a great sit down place for coffee and a pastry too. And Casa Italiano is where we always go for great family fare....all on the same street.
If you just want a tour, the freedom trail you can do alone or they DO have guides...its a walking tour. If you dont want to walk that much, try a duck tour and you will see more...but wont get as much in terms of details. Bostons history is SO incredibly rich. I would choose paying a freedom trail guide anyday.

ahhh, I'm loving the neighbor-talk, Sue! I can understand where you'd just start asking questions and imagining she might understand...I have had to 'reel myself in' a few times in discussions of bc, surgeries, incisions, nipples, the list goes on...I was at dinner with a college girlfriend in Mystic CT last night and I started chatting away, then I reminded myself, "ok, tone it down, meg!" I find I can go on and on about this stuff! After all it has been pretty much all I have read about for the past 7 months, books for fun? nope, haven't done that in a while, but I think it might be time ;-)
Susan - So, what did your MIL think? ;-) I know, I have zero shame anymore...I was at the PT office and practically tore my shirt off when she mentioned having a "look"...welll, she was talking about more of the shoulder area - whooops!, my bad! haha!!! I just go right to that place, I'm definitley gonna have to work on that filter-thing!!!
Marie - geez, your hairdresser had a few sets already, huh? I can't imagine how her back feels all day wearing such a "hefty set" ...and yup, that's a pretty priceless comment about her "relating" to your mastectomy!
Welcome, kittymama! ...sounds like you've lived in some pretty neat places! It's nice to hear you are feeling alright so far - isn't it great to have the drains removed?!
Lago and Sue have you covered as far as Boston goes, I live about an hour away from there (and my surgeons are in Boston, so I'm up there a bit) and I still have yet to hit some of the fantastic sites they mentoned - but I'm starting to get hungry thinking about the pastries now...mmmm!
