I am not sure how often I'll see him? hmmmm, I guess it depends on how this "drop 'n fluff" thing goes ;-) I assume it would be 3 months, then perhaps 6 months (?) if all goes well, that's just a guess, tho.
I don't intend to have anything done in re: to revisions, buuuuut, IF I needed to (lets just hope I don't!) I wouldn't do a thing until after the summer. I intend to like these boobs for the long haul, but I guess it's never say never with these things now...but yep, if something were to dramatically change and I felt it was necessary, I'd go for it in the fall.
I want to enjoy the beach, camping & some vacation-time with the fam, uninterrupted by my boobs for a while!
What did you decide to do about work? Are they flexible in letting you decide kinda last minute about how much time you'll need? ...and again btw, my jealousy sets in about your fat grafting ;-) ...I'm on day 4 of the South Beach Diet, trying to get rid of the flab that came with this sedentary lifestyle I've been leading, not enjoying it in the afternoons, come 3 or 4 o'clock, I want pretzles soooo bad!!! Eh, it's only just to get back on track...I was cleared to go back to the gym Monday, just the bike, tho! wooopeee!!! (*that was said with sarcasm*

I'm trying to drop some pounds too! Was doing really well then all went to hell in a hand basket the last couple weeks as we've been really busy and exercise went on the back burner and so did the eating!! But I'm back on track, damnit!!! By hell or high water I WILL lose 5 lbs before my surgery in two weeks!!!
So do you have a scheduled follow up with your PS, Megan? Wondering how often you see him after the exchange. So glad that you are happy with your results so far. Seems like a lot of women have to "learn to love 'em"? .. or don't really like them until the drop and fluff? Boy oh boy... I just can't believe it's two weeks away for me! ... I think it will become more "real" after the pre-op appt next week.

I do have a follow-up, end of June, so 3 months from exchange, which is good, by then I should be settled in ;-) I would imagine that I'd have to feel really uncomfortable with my new boobs to want to go under again...I don't think I give them enough credit, especially with the IMF incsion, you can almost not tell anything was done, so darn natural, I tell ya! You are going to be soooo happy too :-)
...and as far as the weight, it seems to be a theme, I think the boob-thing is motivating me, I haven't seen too many friends yet since exchange and I think I want to feel good "all over" when it's time to unveil the boobs! ;-) Good luck with your 5 lbs! It's amazing what a few months of laying low around here has done for my bowl-full of jelly! ugh!

Im jealous about everyone's dates. I hate the every-other-week-fill. I know its probably for the best though! Today I poked around the bras in JC Penny but didnt try anything on. I overheard someone come in ans ask for sizing and the clerk said "let me get so-and-so...she is our in-house bra fitter" and I did a little happy dance inside. We dont have a Nordstroms nearby so I was wondering how I was going to go about my fitting. Right now, Im not digging my sports bra so much so I wanted to get something else....but thinking about just toughing it out for another week and 1/2 and seeing how the next fill goes?
Oh funny story - I looked at silicone forms today too...thinking I could use them for the natural side once my righty gets even larger.....ALL of the boxes were EMPTY!! There is a FOOB THIEF running around OHIO!!!! I bet they are too embarrased to buy them but come on!!!

OOOh one more story! LOL. My neighbor has decided to go for a boob job. She is about my height and weight but maybe carries her weight in her mid section where I have thicker legs. Anyway, we were talking about implants and she was saying the doc said she should go with a 475 implant because everyone wishes they went bigger.
I said OMG!!!! Good Golly where are you trying to go with this? Are you NUTS??? I said I was going for somewhere between a 350 to 400 for a full B small C and I am starting with no breast tissue on that side!!! LOL....maybe it will be OK for her, but at least I got her thinking about it and not just going with a number thrown out there without trying on samples! I guess now that I have BC, I am the neighborhood Boob Expert!!!! 0 -
Megan ~ I totally know what you mean about getting the new foobs and now wanting to feel "good all over" when you see people. I don't want them noticing my flabby tummy before they notice the new girls!! .. and I never answered regarding my work... yes, they are extremely flexible about last minute stuff. Said to take off whatever I needed and it would be no problem for me to "play it by ear" (or should I say play it by boob?
The thing is they gave me all of Dec off for my surgery all paid..didn't have to use vacation! ... so I don't want to "assume" they will do that again..though my payroll gal thinks they will. I just don't want to ever appear like I am taking advantage of their generousity. And I def don't want to use up a lot of my vacation for this! 
That's cool that they look so natural!... again.. wish you were able to post pics!
So nice about the IMF incision... down the road you may have to convince someone you actually had BC and didn't just get a boob job! ... my incision is on the outsides of my breast until just next to the nipples. My PS said he leaves the original scar pretty "thick" until the exchange surgery where he "thins" it for final aesthetics. Again... one more thing to wonder about how it will turn out. Sue The Neighborhood Boob Expert! LOL! 475 does seem like a lot for an augmentation. Funnily enough MY neighbor who had a boob job (and ended up getting them out one week later ~ long story!) was shocked when I said I was at 430cc ~ she thought I would be HUGE because she had around 300 and felt gargantuan. I had to explain that this was 430 with NO breast tissue to augment it. She was surprised to see how "small" 430 looked on me. So will your friend be getting the implants placed under the muscle? I still don't understand how they can stuff that much silicone under the muscle for an augmentation.... yet with us.. we have to slowly expand and (in my case) have the muscle sit and relax for two months before they'll put the implant in? Weird.0

Megan ~ I noticed on another thread them talking about the implants looking like hamburger buns until they drop and fluff. Do yours look like hamburger buns? You seem pretty pleased with the look already? You got the smooth round high profile, right? That's the other thing... my PS didn't want to decide on a size or even style! until he did the measurements at pre-op... so here I am 2 weeks out and have no idea what style/size I'm getting. But I'll find out next week!!!!!!!! Okay.. I'm starting to get more and more excited! 0

good point, susan...I never even thought about that, how DO women go for augmentation if they have the implant put under the muscle? Considering how long it takes the avg woman to stretch in the TE's, it seems almost impossible to be able to place them under the muscle for augmentation...
I'm glad your office is so flexible, and how generous to compensate you while on leave for BMX! I can see why you would want to be considerate in the amount of time you take off...
Sue, yessss, the neighborhood boob expert - haha! It really is good you are explaining how size can differ, I mean, thinking of a 475 implant under breast tissure would make someone (you said she's about your size?) quite umm....'hefty' up top ;-) It is crazy, when you guys get your implants, if they are anything like what I feel, is its uncanny just how thin the skin can be next to the implant itself. In the TE's there is no real "give" (well, except I know you, Susan can move them a bit) but with an implant it is just so noticable (to me, since I know there is no tissue left) that there is nothing between me and the implant. I only notice this on the outer side, by your arm pit area. Sometimes I just touch that area in amazment that it seems so delicate, but really, it's not!
And about getting fitted, I went to a Macy's and got fitted recently. I didn't care for their selection of sports bras, but they did fit me. The older woman, who "presumably" is the in-house fitter, was very business-like, took a few measurements, and actually felt the sides in an attempt to get a good idea of cup size. You would think I might be taken back by this, but after all the people, Drs. etc that I have had to get felt up by, having the woman at Macy's cop a feel didn't faze me a bit. I joked after that I hope she actually worked there!
I went to a Victorias Secret for a fitting, too. It was ok, DEFINITLEY a great bra selection, but the fitter was not as exact.
and I agree, I wish I could post the pics, too...but if I ever, and I mean EVER put boob pics up from this computer, my hub would have a coronary...we are "in between" laptops and this one is off limits to that sort of stuff ;-)

Ill have to let you know how they get the implant under the muscle in one shot....thanks for the reminders gals!!! LOL
But the likelyhood is, if I get a 400 implant, the left one will be only about a 250. Heck I couldnt imagine a 400 going under the muscle on the other side!!! Yep and neighbor is doing under the muscle....good luck!!!Susan I hope to have a bra burning party with my old bras and fluffers....actually what I am doing to this point is I cut up an old padded bra and I use the padding for my leftie....I may have to double that effort soon though!
I cant even imagine how this will all feel when done. My skin already feels so thin! Thankfully even after the fill the other day, the skin already has some nice give. Actually I think the fills made part of the area feel better than when the TE was smaller. A little relief on the sides.

Susan, funny enough, I was expecting the hamburger-bun thing and they don't look like that! Even my BS yesterday said that they were already looking good, but that they would definitley fill out more. I have a natural slope up top and they are full all around. I did get the HP's, my PS said he rarely uses them because they can leave a shelf or divits up top, but they would fit my frame, so he used them. I hear that moderate rounds fill out nice throughout the upper pole, where HP's can be a bit tricky there. I didn't have a CLUE when I went in what was what, but I did say for the gazillionth time that I wanted projection. My boobs don't stick out with the look like I thought, I used to be able to hold my boobs up and push them in (gosh, am I admitting that?!?!...only here could I say that out loud! :-) and THAT was what I thought these would look like, a bit higher on top. I'm totally fine about it though, because what I lack in upper pole, I don't have as wide of a base, so it's a tradeoff but even in a sports bra, the girls get GREAT cleavage and enough upper pole for me
...I can't wait to hear what your PS suggests, I am so excited for you!!! Now that I have done it and my frazzled nerves have subsided (I was a bit sensitive & weepy prior to exchange, wierd, maybe!) I just look so forward you gals going thru it too!!!

Speaking of copping a feel
..... I was wondering about how the implants will FEEL. I can kind of feel the edges of my TE's and def the hard port... I just wonder if you can feel the "edges" of the implants? Do they honestly feel like real breasts? Heck.. I think I've forgotten what real breasts feel like!!! What does your hubby think about the "feel"?? Or is it still too early to tell? Does your incision area hurt? Or is it numb? Sorry... more questions! 0 -
Sue - that's what I would imagine, on your frame, you would get a smaller implant on your natural side that would fit your build/enhance to match I am perplexed about a 400 getting wrangled in there, ;-) wowza! obviously it's possible...but reallly - what the heck do I know?????
...that's a great idea to cut the padding out of your bras, it fits perfectly and is smooth-looking, nice idea!

I think straight-on cuppage of the foob feels like a boob, thats what my hub said. But I think if you realllly know what you are looking for, like I mentioned by the arms, it is so delicate skin-wise (no fat, no muscle) that as much as it feels natural, it's so squishy, too, almost toooo soft...(side note - I actually reached in my shirt and felt myself up to make sure I was giving an accurate description
...and asked my hub again "are you sure they felt real? (whose playing on his IPad while I hijack the laptop!) I don't know, to me that area to the touch is the only spot I would think feels like implant. Overall, under the muscle, the feel firm enough, yet soft enough...just like before! ...And I agree, I think I might have a distant memory when it comes to what realy boobs feel like!!!I don't feel edges, the good thing is the implants "flow" into your normal skin/fatty tissue/muscle (or whatever is left over there ;-) nicely!
My incision area is tender to the touch. It's numb, but borderline to feeling something, it's like a cm down from there I can feel. The steri strips don't seem to want to budge this time around. I get sore under my arms when I do too much activity, it's crazy how fast you notice it too! That ole burning feeling. It's deinitley true to take it easy, my muscles get mad quickly, I mentioned above that while cleaning, something fell from a high shelf and I reached up to protect myself from getting clobbered, and now I am burning all across my upper chest...they really mean it when they say do not put your arms over your head! ;(

Sue ~ I like the bra burning! I heard of people giving old bras to charity too...but I was never a "nice bra" type of girl so mine are mostly "cheapy" and don't hold up well.. so burning sounds nice!! Glad to hear the girls look so good in a bra too Megan. I mean, I liked my former girls, but they definitely didn't do any fancy bras justice. I look forward to buying my first NICE fancy bra ever! (as does my husband!!)
Thanks for answering the "feel" and burger bun questions so thoroughly, Megan!! Wonder why some have the "bun look" and others don't? And it just blows me away that they would feel even remotely "real" with so little between the implant and the skin. I'm surprised you can't feel (from the outside) the muscle vs. the implant. I suppose Sue will have a great source for comparison being a Uni. Not THAT will be the ultimate test!
Okay.. nuther question! So when you "flex" your muscle... does it look funky with the implant? It does with my TE... it squishes 'em and you can "see" the muscle flexing. Does it do that on you?

It's hard to explain, I think with your muscles overlying on the front/top, you don't feel the implant as sensitively as you do on the sides. It is firmer to the touch on the top and across, being that there is muscle, than the foob is along the sides, does that make sense? I just went over to my hub (he is sitting here watching TV, totally just unwinding - surprise hubby!!!
and told him to cop a feel, and give me his first thought - he said: "It's crazy-wierd how real they feel, even on all sides." He said it's like real boobs in that even real ones are softer/squishier along the sides, but he said the foobs are "not squishy-gelatiney-feeling at all!" ...very scientific, huh?!?! wow, so I guess that answers that I have completely forgotten what a real boob feels like! Sooooo, I think it's just that I over-analyze them and am constantly touching from different angles. My poor hub doesn't get a quarter the action that I've been getting ;-) !!!! He was happy to help a good cause tonight, tho!!! As far as flexing, it is different, I have been trying like hell to not flex a thing, but the implants do move wierd - I'll know more as I get off of restriction, tho!

I have Silimed gummy and it is hard - or if you want to put a nice gloss on it, firm all over. I am a uni so I have direct comparison. It is much firmer than breast tissue. And yes, the muscle does make it harder on top if you flex. I was very disappointed with my exchange as many people say that the permanent implants feel soft.
The good thing is that I don't have the port digging in any more.

I have been reading every post with keen interest, Ladies! You all are such an uplifting group and the humor has truly helped to calm me down.
My own breast story is that prior to surgery, I told my PS I would like to simply fill out an A cup bra. (Something new for me) I didn't need or want more. As time went on, I agreed a B might be nice and I would be okay with that. The funny thing is, I was happy with my "mounds" post surgery. (150cc at that point). I was even more happy at 210cc after my first fill. Not so happy at 270cc (my second fill) but the PS convinced me that I would look good with 375cc so she wanted me to fill to 330cc and I would be finished with fills at that point. That seems weird to me that she not only doesn't have to overfill, but is okay with underfilling.
Anywhoooo, by 300cc I am hating life. I hate my size, my clothes, etc. I feel HUGE. (I am 5'6, 130 lbs so I can certainly carry it off but my small chest was the only part of my body that still felt youthful because it was so small and had little droop.) Yesterday, I told the PS, no more fills. (I have new stretch marks from the last fill.) She is now recommending 325 or 350 round silicone implants. My hubby asked if I could get 300 (very sweet of him considering he is sad that I don't share his love of big boobs!) and she said that would probably not give me enough in the upper chest area. After bra shopping yesterday with my TE's, I can tell you I fit in a 36C. So, can anybody help me to understand if I currently have 300cc's in my TE's, and I fit in a 36C, will a 325cc or 350cc actually be a middle B cup? Or should I push the 300cc idea? I'm so confused! The PS said the TE's are larger on the side and project out more than the silicone implant. I don't have Boob Greed, I have Boob Fear!!! Any thoughts?

Hi Sandy Beach - so glad to have you joining this lively bunch :-)
You and I have similar builds. I am 5'6", 125 lbs, 30 inch rib cage. I totally hear you about not wanting big boobs when this is all done. I was a large 'A' pre-breast cancer, and liked the fact that they were manageable, didn't get in the way - I was never really a "boob girl". Anyways...I had 350 TE's and was filled to I think 450 (?) or about there. I was feeling MONSTROUS!!! I was really worried about what size implants I should get, I certainly didn't want to be as big as my TE's looked.
Well, I am exchanged now and have Mentor 450's high profiles! Who woulda thought? It is true that implants do not look the same as TE''s. But to be perfectly honest, I really love the size (on me). I think they look like a "full" B in clothes, but I measure out a C in bras. If you are looking to be a mid-B, you might be at a good stopping-spot for you, BUT, the better person to ask would be Whippetmom. She is brilliant when it comes to sizing :-) You can find her at "Breast Implant Sizing 101". I believe it is under the Breast Reconstruction title when you scroll down on the right side of the screen. Besides your height & weight, she will ask for your rib cage measurment.
...and about the stretch marks, I had them too, I was told that since I was being stretched temporarily, they wouldn't be permanent, and after exchange I do not have any! I DO moisturize with coconut oil daily, tho!

You mentioned you have a gummy? I have heard they are firmer than a silicone implant, but didn't realize there would be such a difference. How long have you had it? Perhaps giving it time to settle will help? I have heard that implants, including silicone can feel quite hard at first and need time to relax under the muscle...I hope things get better for you!0 -

SandyBeach I'm 5'6", was 128lbs when I started this journey but now 136lbs. I used to wear a 34 A/B with little fullness before BMX. So I'm small framed too. I just had my 10th expansion Wednesday (PS fills slowly). I'm pretty much a porn star right now. My PS knows I don't want to be any bigger than a B. He likes to overfill.
You have to remember that this is a work in progress. The TEs are not the implants. My TE's sit so high up but I know the implants won't. Seriously many of my tight tees look goofy or I can't even wear them right now because of my stripper tits. It won't stay this way as long as you are clear with your PS about what you want.

...seriously, I never felt so front and center like with the TE's!!! The porn-star look is indeed true, in particularly, laying down and having them at 'full attention' is a sight, isn't it?!?! TE's became like my talent, "gee, Megan - what can you do?" "...well, I can lay down and still have porn-like boob mounds that I can barely see over covering my chest!!!"

SandyBeach, If your TE's are larger than you want, you can have the PS remove saline. Your skin and muscle should contract.

Okay Megan.. you're husband's comments are making me more and more excited for the exchange!! Still amazes me they might actually feel that real!
Lynkoura ~ so sorry you are disappointed in your gummy implant. I also heard that although the gummies might "look better" on certain body frames...they def did not have the FEEL of a real breast. Have you thought of having a revision? Or is it liveable for you?
Sandybeach ~ You have a lot of the same concerns/questions that I had (and still have!) going in! It sounds like you don't quite see eye to eye with your PS? When she says 300cc won't be "enough" for your upper body area... is that just her opinion that it wouldn't look "right" aesthetically? .. or it may be because of the type of TE's she placed in there.. and your breast "footprint" wouldn't be compatible with a smaller implant? Hopefully, you can talk to Whippetmom about it. And make sure your PS is really HEARING your wishes!
It is very hard to put trust into someone when you are not familiar with the process. I got some advice from the boards (Whippetmom IS great!) and had lengthy discussions with my PS. In the end, I am putting a lot of trust into my PS, especially because my TE experience has been so diff from a lot on the board. I really like and trust him, he knows very well my wishes and how I want to look.....so at this point I guess I'm just closing my eyes and falling back and hoping he catches me!
... I think I'd rather err on the side of a little smaller though since I'll be getting fat grafting..if I think it's too small.. I can always keep getting more grafting done. 0
