Megan - Yeah on getting over stage fright!!!  No one has seen me in a suit yet (except that quick pic on FB that most of my friends missed)...but I think we might go to a waterpark next week.  eek! But Im more worried about my whiteness!  You look great girl!!  I bet you looked great in your suit!!!  Enjoy the camping!  I wish I was still in MA for sure!

Jill - Im outside of Dayton....I thought I saw some others in Indiana out here however.

Susan - where are ya GF??  We havent seen you in a while!  Hope all is well.

It's great to see that everybody is checking in from their vacation spots.  It's definitely harder to keep up with the group but well worth it!  I've been away for a while... We have a condo in Rehoboth Beach and for several weeks in the summer we're surrounded 24/7 with either friends or family.  I love it but it definitely limits my online opportunities.

I bought 3 new bathing suits for the summer and my hubby has approved wholeheartedly with each one.  I've never, ever, ever filled out the top of a bathing suit before and I must say it's a good feeling!  Now I'm thinking I should buy some of those underpants with butt pads to fill in my tush area.  I inevitably end up with saggy pants no matter how they look when I buy them.  (Kidding, of course) ;-)

Jill, stay cool.  I know what you mean about the bra and the heat.  I feel like I can't go without a bra either (and I'm post exchange) just because I'm not sure what might happen if I let them go free too soon.  The PS never really told me!

Fluffqueen I haven't been camping since I was a preteen going to summer came (in East Otis, MA). I'm a city girl now. Camping to me is taking a trip to the suburbs. Tongue out

Bruises are almost all gone. Still strap the boobies in for the morning (compression band) and try to get the "massages" in as well later on in the day. Can't wait to see my PS next week. I really hope he takes me off restrictions.

I feel fine except my foot still hurts near where I got the IV. I have no idea what the hell she did. I knew I would be bruised by the way she did it. I have good veins in my food so that shouldn't have happened but some folks are a little better at it than others.

Maybe I do get a little more tired at the end of the day. Guess the body is still healing.

Does this happen to any of you guys? When I eat something salty my boobie prizes seem to feel like they retain water or something. I don't think that's it because my LE arm is fine but it's a strange feeling.

Hmmm, Lago I cant say Ive noticed anything like that.

I am noticing now that the swelling is gone down that my mx side really shows the implant...coming and going rippling (dependent on position), strage shapes when I do certain things (like scratch behind my back)...things that I know are all normal....but it really looks weird to see this side the way it is.  Its just an implant under skin.  A reminder that its NOT a boob job.

Speaking of which, neighbor who had the augmentation came up for a visit last night!  For Susan, she looks great and I think she picked the right size for her.  She is more apple shaped...with teenie hips, thin legs but stockier arms and torso and carries her weight in her middle.....she got 375's (I got the 350 in my BA side) and told me she was a 34/36 D.  I would say she LOOKS like a 34DD - Now that I am indeed the neighborhood boob expert (KIDDING!!!).  But she is happy with what she got...even though she has those days of wishing she went bigger...I dont think she should have.  I wonder what she would think if she knew I was reporting back?

Well, I start my new job tomorrow!  Yeah!  I will be meeting and hanging out with people who have NO IDEA about what Ive been through over the past 8 months.  What a weird feeling!  The only thing I will worry about is if I have to lift or move anything too heavy.  THEN ill have to explain why I cant.  On my interview I had to state that there was nothing that would inhibit my ability to do the job as described.  And I WILL have to lift and move books all day.

I am also getting itchy for my first bra fitting!  My MX side is definitely a 1/4 to a 1/2 size flatter than my BA side.  I wear a molded cup to cover that issue but with the swelling going down and things changing all of the time, bras I loved at first dont fit right anymore.  Im struggling between hanging on until the drop and fluff happens and bra shopping every week to find a more comfortable bra.  I have to understand that they will KEEP on changing over the next 2 months at least and not to invest anymore money!

SueBee good luck with the new job. Let us know how it goes.

BTW my swelling is all down. My left boobie prize is a little larger, rounder and sits a little lower than my left. It has a few ripples that I notice. My right seems to have the fold and a bit square in shape but left does not. Will be seeing the PS on Wednesday to discuss. Odd because the left was the one with the big tumor. I thought if you did a bmx it was easier to make them match. Maybe it's just still too early but I do think the right one is shrinking. Maybe that's why the nurse said my PS plans on doing more fat grafting.

Need to get around to updating photos.

Lago: Did you have a modified MX on the cancer side and a simple MX on the prophy side? They take more tissue with a modified MX. Fat grafting makes up the volume difference. I need to ask PS about that, though I've got plenty 'o time.

    Suebee watch those heavy books!

This whole bra biz sounds terribly frustrating. I think I will stick with my molded cup bra and find something to stuff inside it.

Thanks Lago and Renn for the well wishes - Ill report back!

Yes modified radical on the left, simple on the right. Odd but I think I got more fat grafting on the right. The left side is bigger and lower than the right. Maybe the right needs more fat but it does sit higher and have a fold. Left has no fold.

I thought I wanted a C, but I am thinking a B might look nicer on me.   I am at 550 and they look pretty big.

But I hear you lose a lot of size after the exchange, so I am conflicted.

    Hi Ladies,
My exchange surgery is only two days away now-I am counting down to Thursday morning -yeah! I've had these TEs for 4 1/2 months now. Looking so forward to being more comfortable, especially sleeping. The TE's haven't felt that bad during the day (except post-fills), but I have had trouble getting comfortable at night.

My 275cc TE's are filled to 350ccs and I have waited 9 weeks since my last fill for surgery. We hope to exchange for 400-450 ccs. My PS has ordered both Allergan 20s (high profile) and 45s (extra high profile) to try, as well as Mentor high profile silicone rounds.
I am anxious to see what I end up with. I feel ready for surgery, and at the same time I have the nervous jitters. I will add my post op/post exchange pics on the photo forum after surgery.
    Wish me luck!!

Helloooooo ladies!  Been busy, then two weekends ago hubby and I did a spontaneous weekend in Seattle again, then had my fat grafting last Thursday. Whew ~ time flies when you are having fun. ;)

So a couple of weeks ago, at my pre-op appt....I started asking the doc about the FG~ we decided to take it from the abdomen (specifically below the belly button) ~ and since the procedure for setting up the FG (injecting solution into the area you are grafting from) is identical to a liposuction procedure.....after he's done getting the fat he needs for the "girls" ... what about then using the same darn hole and just sucking the rest out and do some multitasking, darnit!  He said that we could..but he can't charge insurance for it (damn him and his ethical ways! ;) so if the surgery room has the extra time available and for a "discounted fee" he said no problemo.  So talked to the hubby and he said it was up to me (which I knew anyway~ just trying to make him feel important ;) and decided to go for it! So had him lipo the entire area after he finished getting the fat for grafting.

Yeah.. it SOUNDED like a great idea... not so sure at this moment.UndecidedUGH! I feel like I did 10,000 situps and then got a 3rd degree burn.  Okay.. maybe I'm exagerating ~ but still.  And I have to wear this compression garment contraption for 6 weeks! (wasn't necessary for just the little bit they usually do for FG ~ but when they do full lipo you need it to be sure everything heals evenly) and it's like uber spanx with eye/hooks, zippers, straps, etc.  and not the least bit comfortable (thank God it's not hot here!) ~ at least it's black - so if you squint your eyes it looks like I'm wearing a sexy corset!  Tongue out

The other thing is you don't really "see" your results until at least the 1st month because of the swelling.. and not full results till about 6 months.  So the jury is still out on whether or not this was all worth it! Though I can definitely see a difference already and I'm not one for regrets so we'll see. :)

Now my boobs are another story! They look fabulous!  Kiss  It is amazing how much the FG helps with the shape. Though you prob couldn't tell in pics as much.. but my divit area is completely gone.  No more ripples (still some on outer side when bent over naked ~ doc says those are harder to get rid of ~ told me to stop bending over naked ;)  They just look "fuller" in the upper pole.  Granted.... don't know how much is from swelling...how much of this round of FG will "take".   But if they stay like they are now... I would be slap happy and not even think about wanting anymore FG.  I will just have to decide before the end of the year for insurance purposes.

So Redsky,  you have your exchange tomorrow? Good luck and it will feel great to come out on the other side of this! :)  Lago sounds like you might get another round of the FG? By the way... my PS says "skinny fat" is better than "fat fat" because you get a more concentrated pack of fat cells to transplant. :) ..and loved the story of your friend not being able to tell that her date was copping a feel! Too funny!  Sue ~ are your girls still fraternal twins?  Or is one starting to look like she was adopted? ;)  I still have to go look at you and Megan's pictures from your meeting!!  And I agree about probably never really knowing what a true A,B,C,D bra size looked like. Thanks for the update on your neighbor ;) ... by the way.. did you ever ask her if she lost any sensation in her nipples.. if not... call her right now! ;)  And congrats on the new job!!!  How nerve racking and exciting at the same time! ... you should be pretty close to being done with arm restrictions, no? Sounds like everyone is enjoying summer and swimsuit season! Glad you got over your "stagefright" Megan! . and Jill , I think using botox to console yourself is a great idea! lol!

Well, I better wrap this up since I have to go to the bathroom...and unfortunately it's about a 10 minute procedure getting this contraption off me so I have to anticipate these things in advance!

SusansGardenI heard the lipo is much more painful than fat grafting harvesting. I guess no pain no gain right? Tongue out 6 weeks isn't that long. Just think how many weeks/months is would take in the gym to get rid of that. Lots more than 6 weeks and even then no guarantee it would be gone. Hope you pain goes away soon.

The visit with the PS is this morning. I'm almost 4 weeks out. They boobie prizes are looking better but still not twins. The cancer side sits lower, is a  little bigger,  sits a little more under my arm pit with a crooked scar. The other side has ptosis and a little squarish but that squarish shape seems to be getting better. Will be interesting to hear what he has to say. I don't mind going under the knife again if I must but I surely hope it local anesthesia. I hate general. It makes me so ill. I'm still battling the heart burn from 4 weeks ago although better with meds.

Susan - I agree...the 6 weeks will be done and overwith and then you can move on.  Is it time for new photos????  Wink

My girls are definitely fraternal - still have the winker and Jan is getting really jealous of Marcia getting all of the attention and being prettier!  My lack of nipple projection is really noticable next to the other one.  I still havent had a fitting so not sure what I will really be - I feel like they are shrinking however.  Yes the photos are all updated at the 1 month point - stop over!

My neighbor (and my left one) both are experiencing hyper sensitivity in the nipple.  Mine is getting better as the swelling went down.  My arm restrictions and exercise restrictions are done....Im not back to zumba (im giving myself another 2 weeks) and I am biking.  The job is great and yesterday didnt feel any issue with the lifting and reaching....little twinges in the right but thats my tightness in the LNB area.

Lago maybe its time for new pics for you too?  4 weeks already?  wow.

Red - you know I wish you the best!!!

Yeah, I guess I managed to make it through 5 months of TE's... what's 6 weeks of uber spanx compared to that!? :)  I do need to update my pics! .. and go see everyone elses!

Glad to hear your job went great, Sue! Now you can be your hubby's "sugar mama". ;)

So when you say "hypersensitivity" you make it sound like that's a bad thing?  Or does it depend on the circumstances? ;)  And you feel like both sides are shrinking?... like the drop and fluff? or swelling going down?  Is the lack of nipple projection less noticeable in a bra?

Lago ~ Going under the knife again? So you are already thinking you may possibly need a revision?  You were really happy with your results I thought?  Sounds like one side may have migrated a little?  Maybe it can be fixed by adjusting the banding thing he has you wear??  It will be interesting to see what your PS says today.

Red ~ thinking of you today! :)

PS was very happy. He says there will always be minor differences but it really takes 6 months for things to settle. He says they need to drop more… really? I think they are already so much lower than my old ones but I don't want the one on the left to go any lower. The right side hasn't migrated it's always been like that since the bmx/TE.  I just thought he would fix that. He does say he does a little fat grafting at nipple reconstruction. I will admit there is a little rippling in the left but only I would notice. I'm thinking no nipples till these things settle. It's not that I want to go under the knife again but if these don't match a little better in position and size I am not going to be happy.

Not sure I can get photos that will accurately show what I'm talking about but my husband agreed and he usually doesn't notice anything. I'll see if I can take more photos.

Susan - the hypersensitivity is like - I couldnt even TOUCH it before without pain....like a burn!  Then for me at least it was like a nice pleasure if I was gentle but then it got painful fast.  Its improving as the swelling goes down.  Yes and I think its the swelling going down - the nipple area on the left isnt so conical - its softening.  The right always looked like a pillow...soft and more rounded than taught.  The lack of NP in the right is disguisable with molded cups but my soft cup Chantelle still looks the same as the photos I had up.  I really cant wait for my fitting.  Im at 5 weeks and think Ill wait until the end of August or first week of september when the kids are back in school.

    And yes - pix please!

lago ~ I was just gonna say that maybe you were "too close to it" and being too critical... but like ya said... if your "usually unnoticing" hubby agrees than that's another story.  When your PS said they need to "drop more" ... did he mean just the "shape" of them.. or literally move farther down your chest wall?  I would think he meant just the shape.  Do you still have to wear the band thing?  I know what you mean about it being hard for photos to show the details that we are seeing.

Sue - Ohhhhh.. I had no idea you meant sensitive as in a burning pain!  I just thought you were walking around aroused 24/7! lol!

Funny you mention the "conical nipple" .. I was talking to my PS about that.. discussing whether I wanted fat grafting behind my nipples or not.  And one of his comments was that a "conical shaped nipple" is more of a look for a young teenage breast and not a ..." .. and he pauses... and I finish for him ..."a middle aged old lady?" lol!

Susan it only LOOKS aroused 24/7 - or as your PS so nicely put it....a developing teenage girl.  My developing teenage daughter may be my band size, but she is no D however!!! LOL.  The gene pool isnt there for that (well, unless she gets it from her father's sis or mom!)  Yeah I dont really want to be a saggy old lady - but I want them to look a little more like a 'middle aged' one!

The nip is definitely getting better - but DH couldnt touch it for a while. And as for the other side, I have been getting TEENIE zingers when I scratch above my incision site - which I hope means nerve regeneration!  I feel nothing when I touch it but when I actually scratch a little - oooch!

Hi Ladies, My exchange surgery went well yesterday - I have Allergan Style 45 (extra high profile)- 460 cc on cancer side and style 20 (high profile) 425 cc on the other side - to address a size disparity between the smaller cancer side. I am in a 36 C surgical bra.
It felt great to shower thia a.m. as I have itchiness on my skin around my surgical bra borders. I hand-washed and dryed the bra and put it back on and it is less itchy. It must be something applied to my skin while in surgery that is irritating me? Maybe electrode adhesive or something, betadine or who knows what.
I checked out what the foob fairy brought me quickly this morning w/ DH before he left for work, and I am very happy with the outcome! Yeah!  Cancer side (lefty) is seeping a bit at the incision, so I still have gauze pads inside the bra. They foobs are definitely softer, fuller and wider/rounder than the te's so I have cleavage for the first time in my life! The projection seems pretty good too and I obviously have some swelling going on. I expect to see a progression of changes as everything settles in and heals.
I slept comfortably in the recliner. My DPS said it is best to sleep propped on pillows on your back w/ arms at the sides. He said malformations can develop if you tend to sleep curled up on your side w/arms curled around the chest area. Yikes! I'll plan to sleep on my back while I heal up.
The incisions are covered w/ streri-strips, so I can't see them yet.
When we have a peaceful moment, I'll have DH take some pics and I'll post on the forum either tonight or probably in the morning.  I feel really good and this surgery was so much easier than the bmx. The pain is minimal too! I am following Sue's advice resting and taking it super slow for a few days.
    Have a nice evening everyone-
