Implant Exchange (oYo) ~ Anyone go/stay SMALL?? (B cup)

Jill you really want to make sure you are massaging correctly. You don't want to be pushing the lymphatic fluid the wrong way causing more of a problem. This is why they have trained therapists.
Exercise is good for LE as long as you work up slowly, even the weight stuff (provided you don't overdue it). Yes you can get LE even from just breast removal but it is less common.

I was a C before, and am going to an A for my exchange. The smaller the better...and I'm 5'10" about 138 lbs. I have no need for big ole boobs. Question, though:
Are there drains involved in the exchange?
Thanks,
michele

No drains for me in the exchange. I would think in most cases no.
5' 10" 138! You're a long and lean one aren't you. I have a friend that is 5'9" and 134. She too is a skinny one but probably a few years younger (33) than you.

Tomorrow is E-DAY and I really (I mean it!) am going for a B. WIll let you know how that goes! I have a feeling I might end up bigger....wish me luck!

Queen of Fluff ~ Yay on an August surgery date! ...I will cross my fingers for softness! And kudos for scoring some free face work.
Vivaraselena ~ My PS always does drains with exchange. He likes to be cautious. Luckily, I was good to get them out the very next day. Wow...going for an A? I haven't heard that one yet...Sounds like you have a model's body!
I hope you home soon and recovering Annie. All right ... you are our last hope for a B on this thread! I hope you have succeeded! ... and thanks for taking one for the team!
Looking forward to the pics, Sue!!
Went to my Pre-Op this morning for Fat Grafting. Says my boobies look fabulous (okay.. his words were more professional than that ...he's going to take the "donor fat" from my "mommy pooch". I told him I didn't want to save it in case I ever needed a tram flap. At this point... I think I'd rather just be flat than have a tram flap. I'd just go get a padded bikini top and rock it with my flat mommy pooch.

Lago thanks for the LE explanation.
Annie: Good luck today!!
Suebee: say on the other thread you had a great time with Firedancer. We will be looking for pics on the forum!
Susan when is your fat grafting?

Hey!!! So Im just in from my visit with Megan.....I have to say that it really was a GREAT visit. Megan is warm and personable and funny and beautiful and just great to hang with. There was defintely no shortage of conversation - only time. It was SO wonderful to sit with someone who has been through the same crap. We are just about the same size too (before and after) so it was great to compare notes. She looks awesome.
Here's the crack up of the day - we went to VS bra shopping. We giggled at the teenie tiny cute little training bras (yeah the ones we USED to wear!!! LOL) and went to try a couple on. How do we ask the saleslady that we wanted to be in the same stall??? We were totally comparing boobs. Too bad Megan cant get her pix out here cuz she does look great. But this goes in the book of things you NEVER thought you would admit you have done....standing there checking each other out! Wah ha ha!! Well, she had already seen my boobs before, right???
Megan - your turn to chime in....what a GREAT day!!! I definitely want to do that again sometime!!!
Yeah Susan - that sounds awesome (where they plan on taking the fat) - SIGN ME UP! I'd love to be rid of that small portion of my bod for sure!!!
And how do I post the pic? Susan youll have to become my FB friend to see it maybe!

Annie - good luck today - thinking of you!!!
Susan - awesome on the amazing boobies! I admire your rationale for not saving any of that darn donor fat for a tram flap someday, get it out while you can...and then run out and rock that bikini bod, momma!!!!
...you just reminded me that I gotta call my PS office to schedule FG for September...
Sue and I DID meet up today, it was soooo great! We enjoyed some lunch and chatted, there was definitley no lack of conversation ;-) I think we could have gone on and on...
...we did stop to peruse the Victoria's Secret selection a bit...nothing really worked for either of us, but not for lack of trying,
It was fun to shop with another reconstruction-pal...although, VS fitting room may never be the same! ;-)

Sue - I cut my last post short when I scrolled up to see that you had just written! Good timing!
It was amazing - to sit with you and chat about all of the "stuff" we have been thru, and to know we both understood eachother was amazing...
...for the record, yes, I had seen Sue on the pic forum, but nothing is like "seeing" eachother in person...Sue looks great! your symmetry is really amazing! I am especially jealous of your perfect slope ;-) ...no darn divot like mine!
It was by far my most memorable VS trip, and will remain that way, I presume ;-) Leaving the fitting room at the same time was hilarious! ...the best part being that it seemed totally ok, us just checking eachother out and chatting away as if there were no other shoppers...I just remembered when we walked out there was a woman getting measured at the entrance...wonder what she was thinkin'?!?!
It was a day I won't forget and I'm glad to come here to share it with you lovely ladies, I feel really fortunate today for the support I recieve here. Sue, meeting you in "real life" was a gift, thanks for helping to make it happen!
...now if only we could figure out a way to get this thread to meet up somehow ;-)

Oh your meeting sounded amazing! What a treat for you guys! And to go VS shopping with eachother.. perfect!! Very, very cool! Isn't that so surreal to be able to just settle in like you've known eachother a long time even though you've never "met"!? ...Hmmmm... now I kind of understand how online dating could work. lol! So glad you guys were able to make that happen!
Rennasus ~ my FG is in one week. July 14th.

Megan - agree, agree, agree! You summed it all up...it was a gift. I already talked about it several times! And divots or no divots - you still look amazing! And I hope the VS fitter and customer got over the sight of us....I wasnt brave enough to reach past them to deposit the bra however like you were...I scurried right out of there! Oh and WERE there other customers? Blah blah blah, yak yak yak....it was hilarious! I wont forget it!! Ever!
Susan - we talked about you, wishing you were there too. It was that surreal feeling of 'knowing each other' for so long before today. I put our pic on my photo thread. Best of luck on the FG! Let us know how it goes!!!

Susan - you for sure came up many times...missed you and wished you were there...the more foobs the merrier, right?!?!?!!!!0

Hi lovely ladies - I am back home in bed. The surgery went well..took about 1 hour 15 minutes. I am on pain meds and antibiotics. I am not really feeling any pain. For now. He did two equal sized implants. Drum roll please...........my new girls are Mentor HP Round Silicone 450s. Names are yet to be determined. I am open to ideas!
Am I a B????? Who knows! But, I think it will be close to a B. Do I get a BOOBY PRIZE for staying true to the B thread? Tomorrow I go in for the removal of the bandages. More tomorrow.
Megan and Sue - what a fabulous day. Chit chatting with someone who really knows how you feel plus a trip to VS? That sounds like heaven. What did you buy? Anything cute?
Off to bed...
Annie

Yeah Annie,
So glad to hear from you and that things went smoothly- terrific!!
Hope to hear more when you have a chance.
Sue and Megan, What a darling picture of the two of you! You both look wonderful and it's great to see the awesome connections and support we gain by linking up here.

Yay Anniemomofthree. Not sure how the 450's will translate on you considering the 397 mid profiles on me seem like a C. I guess I won't know till the bra shopping happens. You'll know more when those bandages come off. I'm sure you will be swollen a bit too. BTW I again never took any pain pills except this time I did do some Tylenol. I had/have enough issue with anesthesia. Still have some C and heartburn from it and I'm 2 weeks out! Let us know how it goes today.
Sue & Megan isn't it fun to meet. I remember when Carrol2 (not on this thread. She's my frame but does not belong on the small thread). We have so much in common it's scary.

Annie - yeah! Welcome back! 450's YEAH!!! Welcome to the D club! (just kidding - I dont know your measurements). BTW we didnt buy a thing...I cant do wires yet and thats all they had in my size.
Red and Lago thanks! It was a blast. I hope everyone out here gets a chance to meet a BCO friend someday. What a difference talking face to face about everything!

Hi Ladies! Haven't been on in a while but you all are never far from my mind. Whenever something "boobish" comes up, I think of all of you, of course.
Annie, I can't imagine that you will still be a B cup with those 450's! I am between a B and a C with my 400's... depends on whether I go with a 34 or a 36...
Susan, I still can't wait to hear how your fat grafting goes. I've been putting on weight like crazy (too much vacation food) and I'm hopeful that my PS will warm to the idea that she can make it work for me. I'd love to have a nice sloping upper breast instead of the hallmark ripples!
So today I found myself on a kayak in choppy waters. My friend and I took our 4 sons out and I honestly couldn't get the boat back to shore because of the wind and waves. It was quite the workout and afterward I realized that I am still only a month out from my surgery on June 6th. But my doc cleared me after 2 weeks. Then I came on here and read the 6 week mandate not to raise elbows above shoulders, etc. hmmm, I hope I haven't done something I'll regret!

Congrats to Sue and Megan on their VC "date" ! Sounds awesome.
Sandybeach, can't believe you feel good enough to kayak a month after exchange. WOW! Something to look forward to for sure! If your doc cleared you then, you're good to go!

thanks guys for all the great support on me and Sue meeting up :-)...VS was a no-go for purchases for me, too. Although I did see some 32's (DD) there, crazy how hard they are to come by in store, I didn't like the fit. I seem to only like certain styles at VS, alot of them seem to not fit my implants all that well, especially those demi-cups...talk about "cup runneth over"!
Sandy - glad you were feeling well enough to kayak, as long as you are feeling fine now, I would say that following Dr's orders would fit the bill.
Annie - we have the same implants! I am a 30 in ribcage and as I mentioned above measure out a 32 DD. In NO way do I look like that, now theres proof in the pic, thanks, Sue! (...even in clothes I think that it's obvious I'm not huge! ;-) I'll be curious to hear how the "unveiling" went!
Lago - how are you doing? Exchange was maybe 2 weeks ago? Hope all is well!
It seems like it's gonna be a lovely day here in RI, we are headed out camping on monday, so I'm gonna get outside and work in our camper to get it prepped and packed with all the essentials...enjoy the weekend, everyone!

(((waves))) I was out watching my husband play baseball this morning. I'm doing great. Just trying to get that range back. I don't want to do anymore PT. I can't believe only 3 more Herceptins left! I'm ready to stop playing patient granted I still have nipples and tattoos (and maybe for fat grafting ) to go.
There is no way that I am a B. Those of you who have access to the picture forum can tell. How on earth did I end up with lower cc, lower profiles than you two and bigger boobie prizes? I really feel I'm a C Funny how these things work out. I think I'm a 31" ribcage.

This post anesthesia is a drag! I am sooooo tired. My kids are all over the place because I am so tired and just want to sleep.
The unveiling...the girls look great. No names yet! They look a bit bigger than I thought, and yes, I am in a 38D post surgery. I have no clues what I will be after, but they look really, really natural. Of course, that is in clothes. I don't think I get the booby prize afterall....
Back to bed...

Megan have a GREAT trip!!! Enjoy your time with the family!!!
Annie - Sleep away....your body needs it for sure!
Lago I decided that I really have/had no clue what an A, B, C etc even looked like. I said I wanted a full B but then when I tried on implants I picked the 350 because I THOUGHT I would be getting a full B/Small C.....boy was I wrong!!! I was just clueless I guess!!! Ive got my D's to thank for my ignorance....and that is before fluffing and a real fitting!!! I just know I do NOT fit into a C - cups runneth over like Megan says!
Sandy I was cleared at 2 weeks as well to start back slowly but two weeks lined up with my vacation so I didnt bother starting to exercise. I did a lot of walking but stayed out of the lake, ocean and boats. My usual is to bike and zumba and I gave myself until August before going back to zumba. I think I will celebrate my 1 month on Monday with a little slow 10 mile bikeride to see how my arms (and butt) handle it.....then go from there. My dermabond is just starting to peel off but I am not chancing lakes yet.

General anesthesia and I really don't get along. I'm still dealing with heartburn (Nexium is a bit better than Prilosuc but I think I might have to try the other med I had from the heartburn on chemo too.). The C is getting better.
Funny story. I'm sure I'll have to post this on another thread at some point but I know you gals will love this one.
I met this gal just before chemo in a store she owns. I was looking at hats and told her why. Long story but we were going to the same place for mammos and then changed after diagnosis. Have the same BS. We actually flashed our foobs (she was a few years out. I had my implants with 2 of 10 expansions).
So if that's not funny enough I stopped by the other day to say hi. We got talking about our boobie prizes and how they feel etc. She tells me she was on a date. (she's single in her 30's I think). He date copped a feel and she didn't even know it till she visually noticed. Because she didn't do anything her date thought he had permission… of course until she noticed and slapped him.
OMG the things I would have never thought about that some of us have to deal with. I know I have dead zones but not as bad as she. The story though is pretty funny… at least when she told it to me it was.

OMG, Lago, that is so funny! I have thought about what it would be like to have to show these foobs to a man other than my husband. (God forbid anything every happened to him.) And it's not something I look forward to! I have found myself bumping into door jambs and the like with no pain whatsoever so I'm sure it could happen that somebody could be copping a feel and I'd be none the wiser!
0 -
Lago that IS funny!!! I guess I never considered that side of things!
Sandy - I dont bump the girls like I used to the TE. Maybe I dont feel it as much?
I do have to be so happy that I can feel hugs again! With the TE on one side and seriously fluffing the other, I didnt know how much I was POKING my friends with my hard TE....now that they are soft and squishy, I have that sensation back and its nice. I am not worried about the softball poking out of my front anymore.

Lago, thanks for sharing that story. We need to keep laughing!!
Sue, great you have sensation back!

Hi guys!
just checking in and saying hi!
I'm camping for the week in MA. My hub had to leave for a work meeting so I thought I'd jump online...gotta love a campground with wifi! ;-)
I hope everyone is well and enjoying the summer...I've had to get over my "stage fright" of showing off my new girls, I've been in a bathing suit 24/7 and it was 90 today, so here they are folks!!! LOL
I'll be camping till monday, so I'll check in when I can on this thread - hope all you lovely ladies are staying cool!!!
0 -
Lago-have a great time camping! Thank you for your helpful info on LE. I had a nurse look at my arms in the ocs office today and she said it is all just flapiness from muscles being cut etc. Since I have started working out with arms a little more, it actually looks a little better.
Saw my PS at the end of July. Left side is ready to restart reconstruction and right side still has some hard spots that need to soften. I have been massaging away many times a day. I haven't noticed much of a change though.
The one good thing about TE's wa no need to wear a bra all the time, yet here I am, flat, in 100 degree weather having to wear a bra so I have some kind of shape. It is just not right. I will use my free botox and rejuvaderm to console myself when he says I have to wait!
Any of you girls in or around Indianapolis?
Jill
