Sue ~ also how is your incision doing (on the MX side)?  You are past your 10 day mark, no? :)

Lago yeah on the reveal!!!  Yes I find it so interesting how different PS approaches are in just about everything!!!  It amazes me that there is no clear consensus.

And thanks for mentioning the veins....Ill have to try that stuff.  I have some bad ones all in a clump on my calf...I was thinking of a tatoo to cover it.

Susan - the incisions look great.  The photos make them look horrible though!!! I think they look better in person.  Im at day 14 so good news there...and the dermabond is holding tight too.  All good things!!!!  Ill be on Ebay for bras soon enough....or scouring the clearance racks.  If I stay a 32D however, there will be some competition.

My BFF is pissing me off with this size thing.  She keeps saying that I need one more D to be JUST LIKE HER....well, I asked for a C and really dont want to be just like her because to me she looks a while lot bigger than a 32DD.  I dont really care what the letter at the end of my 32 will be....I just want to fit in clothes and wear cute things.  She acts like me getting a DD is the best thing ever - I would be horrified.  That was a digression - sorry!!!!

Yes I do believe this is for the ptosis. Rather than wait for it to happen on it's own it sounds like my PS forces the issue and makes sure it does happen. Funny but I think I'm going to end up looking better than several examples on his site. It does look like he goes for a more natural look so stripper boobs are now over.

Sue ~  Sounds to me like Ms. BFF is jealous.  Not only do you have a nice pair o' boobies...but you also can still fit into normal clothing!  Why can't she just say "you look great! So happy for you!" ?? One of my "friends" NOT BFF had to put her cat down last week.  She had texted me that everything went okay and she went peaceful, etc....so I texted her back my condolences....THEN she texts back...Hey, now when you "play your cancer card" ...I get to play my "I just had to put down my cat card".  WTF?  Like she's equating the two?  ...it's like they are jealous of the "attention" we get from BC?  Like I've said...I would GLADLY trade you!

Wow Susan you are kidding!!!! "putting down my cat" card?  WTF?  I hope you didnt respond to that crap - or if you did it was a zinger.  Jeesh!!!!  Ive just responded to my texts with either "No thats OK, I asked for a C" or "I'll see what happens when the swelling goes down" because I know she is going to see me in person and say that they look smaller than she was expecting.  Too bad.  They fit this skinny chick!!!  I'm having a bad BFF time right now anyway, you knew that, so I hope I dont even run into her for at least a month....I go away this week and next so that will help!!!

and thanks on  the incisions.  I hope so!!! Im so excited for my appt tomorrow!

Yeah my response was...."I'm sure you can find a 5k for that!"   She's made several little comments along that line over time.  I'm trying to distance myself from her too!  You know that your BFF will be staring down your chest when you first see her! Actually, for being your friend and living close (she's a neighbor, correct?) .. she never came to visit you?  Funnily enough my friend is a neighbor too...and I guess she didn't visit me either.  We have mostly a "texting" relationship right now.

Yes we have the same friend.  UGH.  No she and I have been going out of our way NOT to see each other these days.  Even last night I asked her to return some books and she made sure to drop them off after we left for a party.  Its OK, I didnt really want to see her either.  I know she has been super busy but we are SOOO strained right now that I think something will have to give.  I can barely text her anymore without a snarky comment.  And the last time I saw her (the day before my surgery she stopped by and I SWEAR it was because I told her I wouldnt see her before my surgery and she wanted to be 'right')  I know I made some snarky comments.  Im losing my cool over it.  Im getting to hate texting!

    I LOVE the 5K comment though....OMG that was purrrrr-fect!!!!!

Lago: Glad you are liking your new foobs so far! BTW I use Jergens Natural Glow on my legs all summer long. Gives a very natural-looking tan. Interesting what your PS said about compression bras limiting blood supply. I have been in one since my BMX in FEB (per my PS). Wonder if it has contributed to my delayed healing. Hmmm...

Susan: I second the WTF on the cat card. OMG. Some people are "jealous" of all the "attention" we get? All I can say is they have no idea how lucky they are not to have to deal with what we have to deal with. And no amount of attention (and most of us get far less than we need!) could possibly offset all this $%@#. OK, stepping down from my soapbox again.

Suebee, glad you are going out of town as this will help clear the air with "BF" (I am dropping her second F for you!) I am gonna hop over to pic forum and check out your twins. Thanks for keeping your photo journey current, it helps those of us for whom foobs are still a twinkle in our PS's eye!

Rennasus some people do just heal slower than others. BTW the BS didn't say that. The nurse said he said that so it is second hand. And remember she said "can" not "will".

    Well HELLO!!!

Sorry if this is a re-post for some of you who see me on other threads.

I had my last visit with my PS today.  Boo hoo hoo hooooooo.  He is around until the 22nd of July if I have any issues, but this was it.  Cry  He said again that I am one special case - that no one gets results as good as these in a uni.  He told me I was like those diet ads where you see at the bottom **results not typical - actual results may vary**.

So the answers to the burning questions were:  YES, I can swim and start slowly back exercising!  NO - no hot tubs, stop asking because you CANT for a good long time.  YES, its your choice whether or not to wear a bra to bed but at least wear a sports bra in the day.  NO - no underwires until the incisions are completely flat and youre finished with the drop.  Yes - I can wear a bikini (WHAT?) No - I do not have to do massages (DH didnt like that answer).  and YES - get fitted in about 2 months.

As for my nipple.  He gave me the name of a respected PS in the area.  If I do not like the answer the new PS gives on how she plans to do the procedure, then to go to this other guy.  He wants me to have a local procedure (skate flap, star flap) and not a graft.  Fair enough.

Big hugs and kisses....I think we are in love.  Kidding.  I think he loves how he got my boobs to look!!! I will definitely miss him!!!

"Results not typical"! That's awesome! lol!  So, so happy for you!!!!

If he is saying you can swim then that means your scar healing must be pretty damn good!  HURRAY!!  You did it!  The laying around on your butt paid off! ;) .... now wait... you haven't mentioned this to your hubby have you???  I would milk at least 2 or 3 more days of him cooking and cleaning. And no massages huh? Ever? I'm still waiting to ask my PS about that.

So sad about your PS leaving...but SO glad you were able to squeeze in (pun intended) the e-day before he left!!!  So will the PS he recommended be covered by your military insurance?  You should technically be getting 1/2 price on the procedure.  Tongue out

Susan FUNNY!!!!  We leave on vacation on Thursday so I wont be doing a whole lot for the next almost 2 weeks!!!  Love it.  I told DH that I will NOT be exerting myself still....too bad so sad.  LOL

My insurance will cover if I am referred but I have to see what the deductable is.  In-house I am covered 100%....its the out of house that will kill ya!  PS seemed to think that the new PS will be trained in the newest procedures and NOT the grafting...but he said there is the chance she was trained the other way too.

And yes the dermabond is holding tight.  THAT means the incisions underneath are clean and dry and sealed now.  Before the dermabond came right off in about 6-10 days...it was goopy.  This time its nice and sealed so there's that extra layer of protection for swimming.

And nope - no massages....he doesnt believe they are necessary.  Well, OK then!

Maybe they want us to massage them when they need to be moved or deterred from moving to a certain position.  Perhaps Sue's PS feels they are sitting exactly where they need to be? :)

Either that or he is so in love with his "creation", Sue, that he doesn't want you messing with his work!!  Tongue out

    I like option B.Wink

PS told me to stay off the internet....I keep coming up with stuff he doesnt do or believe in or wasnt trained to do or whatever.  He DID say that PS's vary wildly on the way they do things.

I too see that PS do different things. I swear I'm the only one with this stretch band instead of a compression bra.

I think the NP mentioned the massaging to prevent CC but lets see what my PS actually instructs me to do tomorrow.  1st time I will see him since surgery.

My PS told me that PS's argue with eachother (like at conferences) about technique , etc all the time!  He laughs (with me, not at me.......I swear!) when I bring up stuff from the internet...like Dr. Khouri (surpised I had heard of him), "drop and fluff" (said he had never heard that term!) Really? ...I try to educate him at each appointment. Tongue out

Suebee, congrats on healing that incision! I'm surprised you can swim already...does he just mean ocean, or pool too?

Lago, I came home from BMX in a compression bra AND a stretch band!! Double whammy (pardon the pun)!

Well at least mine had heard of drop and fluff...although he only uses 'drop'.

Renn - pool too!  He said the dermabond is like a double protection.  I just cant be in all day but a dip is OK.  BUT NO HOT TUBS....he was pretty firm that those are bad, bad, bad for implants...especially where on one side I am so thin skinned.

    Hi guys!!!

So much to catch up on, again!

Sounds like everyone is doin' pretty well! Yay for that! Lago, glad to hear exchange went well!

Susan - ok, that friend with the cat comment has issues, man!  Who says that stuff?!?! Completely innapropriate...but your reply was spot-on, girlfriend!!! LOL!!!

Sue - sounds like you are healing well, I am thinking back about the hot-tub thing and don't remember that either, just as well as I don't really go "tubbing" all to often!

I had a super weekend but was definitley reminded that I am not twenty-something anymore...my legs are killing me!  Yell Here I thought I was in decent shape, but I'm feeling the effects of dancing all day and night!  It was so much fun and we all laughed so hard (there were 8 of us)...I'm left with some really great memories of this wknd!

I'm gonna try to read the pages I missed on the thread here, after I feed my munchkins!

Good for you!  My hubby and I used to go out dancing ALL the time BK (before kid ;) ... the last time we "went dancing" was after a school auction... same thing ~ so much fun, laughing so hard!  I think that's why I love Zumba so much...it really is like you are out dancing for an hour! :)

You and Sue should be meeting up soon?!  I'm so excited (and jealous!) for you guys! :)

Hey Lago-nope, you are not alone in the band!...I had to wear one as well. PS said it served the same purpose as the massage movements he wanted me to do (pushing implants down and together). After the first week, he wanted me to wear it 2 hours a day for awhile. I also did not have a compression bra so maybe our docs are like minded.

I saw my PS today. I too have to wear it several hours a day. As far as massage he actually has me pushing the implants up from underneath 2x a day.
