a little pillow, hand pieced, 6 inches x 6 inches

and as far as I could get with the Jane Stickle quilt, this is hand pieced, appliquéd and quilted, and measures 30 inches x 30 inches

That little 6X6 inch pillow is amazing. I can't even imagine the size of the squares that made up the pillow. I love the quilts!

It takes sixteen 1 1/4 x 1 1/4 inch blocks, not including s.a. Each block has 20 pieces. The smallest pieces are less than a fifth of an inch (working with millimeters is easier for such tiny entities). That's why some of the points aren't perfect and ultimately why this ended up as a small pillow.

This is my 5 yard quilt - it is basically one yard of five different colors.  Mine I used 4 colors.

Chabbba - Thanks.  Sorry the picture is so big.  I couldn't figure out how to make it smaller and still be able to see it.

If anyone is interested in making this quilt, send me a PM and I will get the instructions to you.  It is only 2 pages.  This one is super easy and really fun to make.

I love how you used dark hand quilting on light and vise versa....

I had to laugh though, if you used only 4 colours in a "5 colour quilt", which colour did you double up on?

barbe - The smaller red squares should have been the 5th color.  I wanted lots of red in it.  I did not follow the instructions to the letter.  I am like that.  I have to do my own thing.

The ladies who quilt here thought the 4 colors looked better than the 5.  This pattern is so flexible and fun.

I am curious about the piecing of the block with the smaller red block in the middle.

jo1995, that  quilt is just fabulous!  I love those three/four color quilts.  The limited color is very calming.  A great design.

JO - 5 - This is a very easy and fun pattern.  I did all the hand quiliting myself.  I use a square lap hoop made out of PVC pipe that can be purchased in any quilt shop or fabric store that sells quilting supplies.

Wow!  That 5 yard quilt is a hit it seems.  I have had several requests for the pattern.  I will be happy to share it with anyone who would like it.  I will send the pattern and a color photo that can be used as a reference when picking out colors.

You can send me a PM and I will get it to you as soon as I can.

I love the color scheme.  It would go great in my guestroom which DS shoose burgundy and a grey for paint.

Yes, it would be perfect.  You will have to make one and post a picture of it when you are done.

The ladies in my guild have also shared the pattern with the guild. I haven't tried it yet but they all say that the 5 yard quilts are fun.
