Hey Veggy and you other Goddesses - you've been pretty quiet over here. Is everybody okay??

Chemo today. I haven't been feeling the greatest...fever, headache, aches and pains. Plus I am trying to be good. I made Grannydukes mad and know she's out to slap me across my face. I'm just laying low.

Shell - Nothing new and exciting here. Had to go for routine fasting labs today with my PCP. Time to get my next 90 refills on my cholestrol meds.
Veggy - I don't think you could make Granny that pissed off. She would never slap you in the face.
0 -
I'm still going to lay low and hide. Its about the only way I can be good.

Veggy, no you didn't, silly girl! She just likes to bark a lot.... especially when she doesn't feel good. I don't pay any attention to her, even when she screams bloody-murder at me.... How do you get those cute little emoticons at the bottom of your posts?
0 -
Veggy - Cute emoticons. I especially love the one in the box. You don't have to be good around us. A little misbehaving never hurt anyone. Chevy said it right - she is basically all bark and no bite.

Greetings, Goddesses! I have had my mother helping me organize my house for the last week, she is with me until the weekend, has been keeping me busy, too! The house was all packed up in boxes to get a new floor, so now trying to get it all put back away. Having some space issues because I also brought home all my books and teaching materials from my office at work, essentially consolidating two offices into one. She is great!
Main issue I am dealing with is fear of starting new meds; large co-pay so I don't want to waste $$$$, but also don't want to deal with major SEs .... so am waiting until next week when I see MO again to discuss further. Also have CT on Monday .... not thinking about that right now - I still have a few great days ahead with my mom!
Veggy, lay low and enjoy some rest and peace. Nice thing about Granny is those slaps across the face don't hurt! LOL!
Nothing to toss into the fire right now, but am sure I will have plenty next week!0 -
I had chemo today. Feeling worn out. Don't have any energy to tease.
Thanks for the waring about Grannydukes.0 -
hi all, been working my fingers to the bone and what did I get? Bony fingers!
I had thrown my lying SOS boss into the fire and now he's got some company.
In goes one of the supervisors who's been colluding with him in our demise.
Is it too much to ask for people to tell the truth? Seriously, WTF!
Ahhhhh, that was cathartic! And the flames are LEAPING high. ((hugs))

Take care of yourself Sweet Pea Veggy, hope you are feeling better soon. Don't worry about GD, we'll protect you, I heard her bark is worse than her bite, and she's getting her teeth pulled anyway. (((((HUGs))))

Veggy, your emoticons are so cute. You're so clever. Try to rest so you can get your energy back.

Oh Shell, that was my exact thought Granny's bite would be a Gummer.
VR, please, make sure everyone at the reunion gets a hug from me. Maybe those of us that can't be there can send you are phone #'s and you can pass the phone for hello's?
Badger think of you often when DDBF screws up. We are coming into equilibrium. But still in evaluation phase.
Veggy love your new avatar, hope you feel better.
Jo it's nice to see you keeping Granny in line as if anyone really could LOL
Kathindc DUH finally got your screen name "Kathy in DC", me, I'm, me and my beloved dog.
Granny you could put some erratic makeup on and have some fun on the bus, Smile widely at passerby's, a strange hat, an old coat that you could rip a couple of places, a boa, and a cup on your walker ........ then see how people react----will they avoid sitting by you, will they drop some money in the cup LOL. It may even pay for the bus ticket. TODAY"S D DAY--In your pocket, and teeth into the fire.
L&H&P's sassy

Granny, best wishes today - I didn't realize it was so soon. Are you sure you want to toss those teeth into the fire, or maybe the Tooth Fairy would be more generous if you put them under your pillow?
Sassy, so glad to see you checking in!!!!! Jo could use some help with Granny sometimes....
Veggy, hugs this morning, hoping you are resting and comfortable. How is the fatigue?
Jo, Shellshine, Badger, VR, kathindc, chevyboy, and anyone else I have forgotten, just sending hugs, and letting you all know there is an awful lot of rain headed this way, so we may have to make sure our fire doesn't get drenched ....0 -
Linda - Could you be so kind and send some rain my way. We are in an extreme drought. No rain in almost a year - yes, you read that right, almost a year. There are small communities that are going to run out of water soon. There isn't any "push" water from the Rio Grande River to get the water to them.
Linda, SAS, VR, Shellshine, chevy and all the other Goddesses, sending lots of hugs and kisses.

Linda - The day that I get my chemo my fatigue is the worst. I slept until 10:30 this morning only to be awaken by the phone ringing and ringing. I've been sinning in my recliner relaxing.
Sas - You are so mean to GD. I had to laugh at your comment to her.
GD - I'm in your pocket. Hope it goes well today. Pacing until we hear something about you.
Hugs!
Valerie

Jo, as you know, my mom is a Winter Texan, and stays in a park very close to yours. She came to help me last week, is spending 2 weeks here, and has been thoroughly enjoying the rain! I watch the weather channel and see the lines of rain coming across from the west coast, moving in a band that hits the entire country EXCEPT the very tip of Texas. I know you have some water restrictions ongoing. Hoping for a cloudy rainy day for you all SOON!!!
Veggy, I hope you had a typo above ... sitting? singing? sinning???? LOL! I can certainly manage to sin from the recliner, mostly that ingratitude thing.
Thunder is rumbling, no tornado warnings for our area yet, but the night is young....0 -
Veggy, You know That except on OMG , I'm way tooooo serious, so, being irreverent is very therapeutic... ah FUN !. AND the thought of MS Kantaloupe playing a downinout lady, to see what happens, is priceless. It could be a YouTube viral smash hit. Maybe she should carry a bottle of maple syrup too.(hint it'd look like bourbon) NOW praytell MISS Veggy, share with us about sinning in the recliner. Is it something we can duplicate? How much fun IS it? Any special devices needed? Is there a GOODDdddddd outcome?

Veggy - I shall continue to think of you sinning in your recliner. Sounds like a hell of a lot of fun and much better than just sitting. Enjoy onward.

Sinning in the recliner? You GO girl!!!
Can I please request a pocket party for Monday morning? I have my annual breast MRI. Not looking forward to it at all. Doc called out some ativan to help me relax. I've been having lots of neck, shoulder and upper back pain so I'm afraid that I will find it really hard to be still for so long. I'll be so glad to have it behind me!!
Thank you ladies!

1openheart, The symptoms described Neck/shoulders(blades likely)/upper back ------Trapezoid muscle(dr.google for description) ---responds better to valium 10mg. Same family as Ativan, both benzodiazapines, but Valium better skeletal muscle relaxer. That damn muscle caused me to sleep in traction for three years. Valium is the go to drug for that muscle and it reduces anxiety. Ativan reduces anxiety, but negligible skeletal muscle relaxation. Good Luck!

Veggy go to OMG sassy

Thank you sas....I'm not sure that my doc will prescribe anything else since I have already picked up the ativan. I have been going to acupuncture and PT (myofascial release) for months. I get better for a while and then it comes back.
I have Soma that I take at night sometimes.

1openheart - I will be in your pocket with bells on. If you hear ringing, it is just me trying to behave. LOL!
I got a PM from Granny. She is back from the dentist. Had 5 teeth pulled. She still has some bleeding and is in a lot of pain. Maybe she will check in tomorrow otherwise, I will keep everyone updated.

Thanks, Jo. I thought you would bring margaritas along with the bells!
I hope Granny feels better soon.

Sending Granny a milkshake. That is what we always do after dental appointments. Which flavor do you prefer???
1openheart, I will be in your pocket whispering encouragement for relaxation and minimal discomfort, and hoping for no surprises!0 -
Veggy - anything you can do in your recliner can't be a sin

Thank you so much Linda....you guys are the best!
