Okay Granny....until you head back to the surgeon and give him hell for your post op pain....I have more to say about one of THOSE women.....But before I do...I think you need to tell that surgeon that the anesthesiologist and he ought to have a meeting of the minds.  When you are post op, both of them should be consulting one another about pain control.  If you were in terrific pain while STILL in the hospital, then they weren't doing their jobs properly.  Pain management is EXTREMELY important following surgery.  If you are not happy with the response, then you should put a complaint in writing to the hospital as well as a complaint to the local county medical society.  I've had several MAJOR life saving surgeries and my doctors worked their butts off to make sure the pain was tolerable....

Now....back to my saga.....one of those women CALLED me last night.  I did not respond.  Interestingly, if I don't answer she will ALWAYS leave a voice message.  In fact, I've joked with her that leaving voice messages is soooo "1984."  Most people don't leave voice messages anymore.  Have you read the article recently that said 60% of people don't even LISTEN to their voice messages!!!!!!  I've tried to get everyone to text or email me if I don't answer a call.  But she's CONSTANTLY leaving me voice messages.  So, I was VERY surprised last night when she didn't leave a voice message.  Tonight begins our holiday and I thought she might have been calling to wish me a happy holiday....But NOOOO.  Nothing.  And then it dawned on me.....I usually loan her a few extra chairs of mine for her holiday guests.  But I guess it must have dawned on her that she would have been tacky to leave a voice message wishing me a happy holiday and by the way....could she borrow some chairs.

Not calling, texting or emailing her.  Never mind her being INCHES from the fire.  She is now millimeters from the flames....

My MO got my mammo results this morning.  Had the mammo last Wed.  NO ONE HAS CALLED.  I called and was told a nurse would get back with me.  They have 15 minutes and I will call again.  Throwing all the damn stress in the fire and if I don't hear something today in they all go.  That would be such a shame because my MO is really cute and a really good oncologist.

Jo??? What's that about? At my imaging center, I meet with the radiologist afterwards and a report is sent to my other doctors.

Still no results.  Imaging center has not sent them to the doctor yet.  Have a headache now, my stomach is doing flip flops and I just want to cry. This is so unfair.  It has been 6 days!!!!  This so feels like 3 years ago.  I sure in hell hope it isn't a repeat.

Jo, 6 days is WAY to long!!!!! No excuses!!!! I think you should call them first thing in the morning and call them every hour or every 30 minutes until they get you your results!!!!

Hi Jo...I'm sorry that you are going through this worry.  Hopefully, the old "no news is good news"  applies here.  If there was a problem, I hope that they would have contacted you by now.  But I'm with Linda-n3...I would start calling in the morning and not stop until you get your results.   Try to take some long deep breaths and not let your mind start spinning into that dark place that we all know too well.

1openheart - My brain is already there.  This is too much like 3 years ago before all this started.  From routine mammo to biopsy was 6 weeks - most of that was waiting for results.  I am really sick to my stomach.

Jo, can you stop by the place you had your mammo. Ask them for a copy of your report. You are entitiled to it and you don't have to wait on your doctor to get back to you. I always ask that a copy be sent to me as well as my physician. There have been times when I had a copy and my doctor didn't so I had to give  him a copy. Good luck

Here is the update at 11:00 - LOL!  FINALLY got the results - B9!  Yea.  The people at the imaging center need to be horse whipped.  They dragged their feet and the nurse at my MO office had to make several calls to track it down.  She was great.  I did write a letter to the hospital about this and let me assure everyone, I was not nice about it.  Now I sit back and see if they respond to my letter.  Hell, another thing to wait for.  Into the fire goes the morons at the imagining center.

I am so tired, I don't think I will have any problems getting to sleep tonight.  I can sleep in tomorrow if I want to - it is my day off - yea!  I don't have any errands to run or work to do around the house.  Going to spend the day in my sewing room.

Thanks everyone for all your love and support.

    Hugs & Kisses

Burning all the inconsiderate medical folk we've encountered could stoke the fire for years!

It was quiet here...but now i feel the heat...
VR those "friends" must be feeling toasty toes....  I know exactly where you are at....my very dear friend does this....calls, wails, then comes to NY and only hangs out with other people...only calls me with drama...however, I had to make a decision with her to divest emotionally (we've been through too much together)...another dear friend called me every day of her single life crying about her bad ex and her bad relationships...hours on the phone....she met the right guy and set the date and I got a "reception only" wedding invite...I wanted to be THERE with her like I was every day....I was so hurt...She's in my life, but not the same.
I am sure you will not miss these people.

Veggy, I hope you are healing and feeling better....as if BC isn't enough....

Badger, hope the right job comes along...

So great to have you back, Granny....

So great to hear your B9 result, Jo!  [Will we ever stop panicking?]
    Here's to reasons to celebrate...
