in your pocket, for sure Alyson. kinda funny we hope for arthritis, not a fun one either, but better than the other.

firekracker, i do hope you feel better soon.

Ducky, what is the worst side effect you are having? it is making my feet hurt something awfull, now they are burning. i dont care for the high cholesterol, either.

Slow, you sweetheart! i got "stuff", hahaha!

thanks, everyone, for the birthday wishes and all the great pictures! it was nice and quiet, 55, so it should be a pretty good year for me. i just love 5's for some reason.

ok, now back in that pocket!

Ducky, you've got a good 20 years left in you!

In your pocket Alyson. Mine was RA...I'm praying yours is too.

Kracker, I'm gonna get you and my DD together. You can swap tummy stories.

Alyson - A pocket party?  Count me in.  I don't take up much room.  FK used to make room for me in her big purse.

Ducky - I know the feeling sweetie.  Tamoxifen is no walk in the park.  I have about a year and a half left and am considering going off of it now.  The side effects really suck.  BTW!  You may be old but you are going to be around for a very long time.

Kath...it began about 4 months after I started 3 years ago.......it began with trigger fingers......then it was aches and pains so bad it almost stopped me in my tracks.......hair got thin........had knee problems, but they got progressively worse to the point of not being able to walk for long.......then the feett.....OMG.....it is horrible...burning sometimes, aching all the time, and just plain awful....some days are worse then others................none are ever "good"............that is in addition to fluid in my legs, ankles an feet..............as I said......the cure will kill you.................

I use to be a house on fire.....nothing could stop me........cancer has taken a lot......most of all QOL.....and I am tired of it.........just plain tired..........sad part is eveyrone thinks we're fine..........and I mean everyone....other then you ladies who know what we go through....Kath....bet your sorry you asked.........LOL........

wow - Ducky - you really summed it up when you said --- "..........sad part is eveyrone thinks we're fine..........and I mean everyone" - that is the truth! No one really realizes we are still under going treatment and having side effects that are miserable..

    Morning all

The pocket party got rowdy because I was asked to stop jiggling my feet, someone had loud music and I was dancing along to it.

You are so right, everyone thinks we are fine and nothing is wrong once visible treatment is over. If only people knew.

I am not sorry i asked, Ducky. i just feel like since they caught you with a much lower stage, that it would be alright for you to take a holiday from them. i think some women are just exquisitely sensitive to the ravages/side affects of those little wonders. Yeah, i have been trying to increase my exercise, but man my feet are seriously killing me. and now i have just been re-tested for cholesterol, cause there is no.way. it could be that high since february. i mean, crazy high. but the part i am not really liking? it is making me very hostile. towards just about anyone. and all it takes is a second, and i want to bite someone's head off. i was a house on fire too, scrambling up ladders, onto roofs, up a tree, side of a mountain, under a car, you name it. at 52. and now, even hardly eating anything, i have been gaining about 5 lbs a month. watch out for me on the news.

Me too Kath.....here is an example......my grandson went to Carnagie Mellon University...he was the QB for 4 years on the football team.....my daughter and son-in-law drove from Philly to Pittsburgh 387 miles one way.......every Saturday to watch him play........here is how the day went........we would leave (me in tow) around 7am, drive 5/6 hours (depending on the traffic and weather) from home to the college......watch the game....take him out to dinner......then drive 5/6 hours back home to Philly......every weekend for 4 years..........we never stayed overnight....we drove up and back.........went everywhere, and would tease my daughters if they dozed off.........cause I never napped or went to bed early.

Now......horrible.....I guess between age, rads, Letrozole.......I have finally been slowed down....and guess what.........I had a Heart Attack in 2007 that did not side-line me for 1 minute...............did great.........the Letrozole has taken away my QOL.....it sucks, I hate it, and I will be going off it............

Alyson, sorry - that was me with the loud music. I don't go very far without my music. They better give you good news tomorrow/today, or I'll be ticked. It's a sad day when we are praying for our RA to be worse. Seems crazy, huh?

Ducky, I think you should chuck those stinkin' pills into the Bonfire. We can have a big huge party!!!

I don't take those AI's and I notice a huge difference after treatment. I think the Herceptin caused it which is why my MO stopped it early. Sad part is there is no difference after stopping. I think my problem is the progression on my RA though. Treatment made it so much worse.

Kracker, I really hope those doctors next week can help you. You've been suffering far too long.

Praying for all - including FK and Alyson. Hope they find a way to help you both. You all can pm me if you want to chat. I get email alerts when you do. I need a break from BCO, so I will still post pictures on my peaceful contemplations topic, but will not be keeping up with other topics right now. Too tired and sad to do that. Love and hugs to all.

Will leave you with a smile.

    Good Morning Goddesses,

Kathe, that's such a pretty rose!

GMA, I hope you start feeling better soon. You will be missed :)

I love that picture of you and the grands.

    Any news yet Alyson??

Good luck today Kracker. I hope today is the day they can finally help you.

glennie, I'm a classic rock gal too! I also love folk rock - check out The Weepies some day if you haven't already. A great husband and wife band. The wife was also diagnosed with BC late last year. I love their sound. My husband and I have been to a few of their concerts over the years.

SDB, I'll have to check out the Weepies.  Have not heard of them. Been a big fan of John Prine for so many years,, that I don't want to remember how long!  LOL!  Saw him in concert a couple of times.  Paradise will be played at my funeral,, not that I'm planning to go anytime soon,,,, it's just one of my faves.  *when I die, let my ashes float down the Green River, let my soul roll on up to the Rochester Dam. I'll be halfway to heaven with Paradise waiting, just 5 miles away from wherever I am."

oooooo, I like some John Prine songs too glennie!

It's so funny you mention funeral music. I told my kids I want a song from The Weepies played at my funeral. It's called Please Speak Well of Me. They have hand gestures that go with the music to make the background sounds, and I told them I want everyone to do the gestures. They just roll their eyes at me.

Edited to Add: There's a song by Tom Rush that always makes me cry when I hear it. It's called "Child's Song". It reminds me of my children growing up. Such a great song!!

And I want Warren Zevon's Keep me in your Heart too.  They played that song on the very last episode of House (one of my fave shows)  and I about DIED!!   No one ever plays Warren's music, except for Werewolves of London,,, and I was BEYOND THRILLED.  I think I screamed at the TV.  My other "House" friends all said:  oh glennie is going to be so happy to hear this. LOL"

I will definitely have to look for the Weepies on Youtube,, when I'm not on the work computer, like now !!

    Off to work,, **sigh**

The Spanish guitar on Carmelita,, omg,, it's beauiful,,, I love that song, despite the depressing subject!!  i have lots of faves.

If you are on Facebook, look for "induct Warren Zevon in the Rock and Roll Hall of FAme"    it's a group that is trying very hard to get him nominated,,, and he should be !!  They post a lot of great pics and concert clips.
