My MIL constantly calls to whine her woes to my DH and I. Her fence was hit by a car and the insurance company is paying for it. It goes on and on. Really, call one of you other sons for help! Mine has enough on his plate! I dearly love my MIL, but this whining is getting to me. She has minor problems, but they are manageable.
My mother, whom I have limited contact with due to her choosing alcohol over her family, now wants to be there to "help" me. OMG! She has made this all about her. Her stories of death and disfiguration are not helpful. I have told her flat out that she is not helping by telling me horrible stories. She is trying to tell me what to do about my treatment. Thank goodness, I've managed to get her to back off a bit. She's probably telling the whole family how awful I am... but then they know her. Oh, and the kicker.... she tells me over and over how unfeeling, unemotional I am about dealing with this cancer crap. She tells me all about my "scientific mind"... Well, I am a scientist and usually pretty good about making decisions based on thought and logic, versus feelings. But this is a dig... and she doesn't know what I am feeling or thinking because I wouldn't tell her any way because IT'S ALWAYS ABOUT HER!
Oh, and the forms that all ask for the same info. I photocopied one that I filled out, and hand it to the docs. I am not filling out another form asking the same BS questions.
And the insurance company: call in the morning, get told I need a prescription from the doctor before I buy a wig, through some preferred provider. Call in the afternoon, get told to go get whatever I want and send them the receipts. I'll go with the afternoon call... wrote down her name and the time, too.
Since this is my second bonfire, but first where I will be throwing things in, please forgive me. I am usually a very friendly, kind person.

Hi Goddesses - This is your QUEEN checking in. Finally managed to get a break and turn on the computer for the first time today. Been busy packing for our cruise. We are leaving early in the morning. Just about everything is done. Last minute bathroom stuff gets done in the morning. We are headed to New Orleans where we will get on the ship. From there, it will be Key West, and Freeport/Nassau Bahamas. I will be away for at least 10 days. Will miss each and everyone of you. Hopefully FK and Ducky will be behave.
So excited! Can't wait. Never been to the Bahamas so this will be a new adventure.

Called my mom this morning to let her know what's going on with me this week to have her say "Can I call you back in a bit" to which I said fine. Never heard from her the rest of the day!

through the wringer with C.Diff and that has been taking up most of my time.
The beast is back, or never really left – we aren’t sure. She’s been put on
ANOTHER round of antibiotics. So, into the fire goes tummy troubles and
C.Diff!!! Burn baby!!!Jo, Bon Voyage!! I hope your trip is awesome. Don’t forget to take lots
of pictures!! Maybe we can all fly next to your ship via Kracker’s broom. That
would be a blast!!

WELCOME!!!Kracker, I hope your tests went well yesterday. I wish you and my girl
didn’t have to go through these tummy issues. It really does affect QOL. She’s
been dealing with them for so long, she even incorporated poop into her
crocheting. LOL Thought you might enjoy her latest creation. I’m glad she can
keep a good sense of humor about the whole ordeal. Maybe one day the two of you
can share stories. She calls this her "Jolly Poo".

I know I'm late to the party but I have a funny story.
This story is about my sister – I wasn’t born yet. My Mom
and Dad used to tell this story over and over throughout the years.Growing up we always went to the same Chinese Restaurant in
Far Rockaway. I don’t remember the name, but I think it was on Central Ave. and
it was upstairs. In my mind I always thought they had the best Chinese food. As
an adult, nothing else ever compared.My sister was about two when my parents took her to the
restaurant. One of our family’s favorite dishes is Won Ton Soup. My Mom ordered
a large Won Ton Soup. My sister got very upset while she was ordering, but we
were raised to be polite and never speak when adults were speaking. Once the
waitress left, my sister said to my Mom. “Mommy, you ordered Won Ton soup. She responded, “Yes,
that’s correct.” She then said, “You were supposed to order Three Ton soup – there is three of us.”
My parents just got such a kick out of that, and I can still picture my Mom
laughing when she told that story.Edited to add: OOOOps. This isn't the STFU thread. I must be tired. Night all!! As Gilda would say, "NEVERMIND".

DD is doing better today. She seems to do well while on the antibiotic. Once she goes off, it comes back stronger.
I'm sorry you're having so much pain. I hope it's better for you today. I've got a good appreciation what you must go through daily seeing how my daughter suffers.
I've always wanted to go to New Orleans too! I would go anywhere I could get to by car, train or ship. I'm done with flying.
Maybe one day I'll have my own broom!

Mmy dd2 is upset with me cause I am not happy bout hrr 4th pregnancy. My gd who is pregnant stayed over last night, she is my olest gc, n I adore her, she has issues n parents including my son who r selfish, had her at 21. My son threw hrr outso did her mother a while ago she lives with the pregnant dd ntheidiot she married
Anyway, sleep is brtter aitivan is working, but didnt go to sleep til 3 n up at 1030am

It's nice to know that all families fight. My two used to fight like crazy when they were under the same roof. Now that my DD has moved out, they get along much better.
