You're a brave girl Tomboy. So happy you got good news!! Hope yours goes well too Lucy!!
There will be no oscopies or anything else going in my colon anytime soon. I've had enough doctors looking at my butt to last me a lifetime!! The paper test will just have to be good enough for me. I wish I could convince my DH to get one.
Poor Stella. So difficult to watch our animals suffer.

Just good ol grilled cheese, some ground turkey veggie soup, and leafy green salad. Simple and tasty! Too lazy or unambitious for anything, really, and the soup is from a deli!

....was a looooooooooooooong day, & i just couldn't make myself do anything more complicated.

Slow, the photo of you really tells your story...you look great. Did your hair grow back different? I've heard that often. You won't need to flap your ears to fly...Ducky will lend you her personal pilot and you will never even know you are off the ground.
I like the idea of coming to the party in photos! What fun.
Tomboy, glad you got a clear 'oscopy. Yay!
FK, don't think you can wear those fancy boots in a foot of snow...they will get ruined.
I can't wait to hear what they say when you wear them to Rummy Kub. They will be soooo jealous. Purple boots; purple hair...
Thanks for wishing a snow day for me...it worked! (3.5 snow days in a week and 3 classes missed)
Ducky, I had rain most of Monday too. But then when it turned over to sleet then snow, it was really messy. My school was the only one without a late start this morning. It was painful to be outside in the dark.
Mom, I'm with you here...my DD lives in CT and she's had a mess there. Me too...9 degrees this morning..an hour to warm my car (it does not blow heated air when it's running in the driveway); I had to scrape thick ice off the car at 6 Am. Finally got on the road at 7:30...worked all day.
When I came out of work, the campus looked so beautiful in the setting sun. The ice on the evergreens was slightly melting and dripping down in thousands of icicles like crystals on Christmas trees lit up by the sun. I couldn't take any pix so I just stored the images in my mind.
Then driving home, I got a glimpse of today's full moon rising...HUGE and pale orange. As it rose, it lit up all the snow in my yard. If you look at the moon, there is a bright planet nearby (Jupiter). I looked thru binoculars for awhile. I don't mind winter or snow...I just don't love going out in it when it's messy & cold.Throwing all the very bad news we hear all day and night into the fire. The world is crazy.

Love it. Bald is Beautiful ! Well I know about big ears have a rather large set myself.
I'm afraid to wear heavy earrings Lol. No breast, no hair and I'm worried about my ears getting longer. They look fine to me.

Called my mom this morning and wished her a very Happy 70th Birthday! She also is a cancer survivor!
We actually got above freezing today!
0 -
Mommy.. Happy Birthday to your Mum.!! If you don't mind me asking was hers breast cancer too. ??

Mom is a survivor of colon cancer. Her older brother died from lung and brain cancer due to asbestos exposure.

WOW..............

Yeah. Scary to think about it but mine had no connection with them having cancer. They figure my uncle's came from his days in the Navy and mom's might have been from the fact that she had non-cancerous brain tumors removed, as her cancer was discovered after that.

We have a friend' s father who died of asbestos exposure.. He was an electrician... Hate.. Hate. . Cancer !!

Seems I spend most of my time here trying to catch up lately.
Has anyone seen Alyson lately?? I know she was having problems with her RA, but I haven't seen her for awhile. If you're lurking Alyson, keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!! GMA too!!
Tomboy, I love grilled cheese. That dinner sounds very good to me!
Joan, My hair is growing back the same thickness, but a lot more curly. When I don't use a flat iron, I resemble a young Bob Dylan. It took forever to start, but once I finished Herceptin, the growth really picked up. I agree - I can't wait to hear what the Rummy Kub ladies have to say about FK's stylish, purple boots. I've always loved the purple streak! You're description of the everglades was wonderful. I could picture it in my mind so clearly!!
Futhing, The dog pic is so cute. Is that your dog? I have a similar picture of my dog, but he is wearing regular glasses.
Kracker, I don't have a FB, but my sister shared it on hers, and I did post it on my blog for family and friends.
Happy Birthday to your Mom, Mommy. Here's to decades of birthdays for her!
I hope Komen will take notice and change their business model. I was looking over the numbers they post on their website. Unbelievable how much money they bring in on a yearly basis. I do wonder what incentive they have to find a cure when they are such a big money maker. It will be interesting to see if they respond in any way to the petition. If they don't it would be nice to find other options to get their attention and have our voices heard.
I will sign any petition that comes my way to get more money for research. It amazes me that they can implant a whole new face onto someone, but they haven't found a cure for cancer.
Hope you're all having a nice pain free day. Hugs to all.
Edited again: Just like me to think of something else after I've hit post!! haha
How are you doing Poppy?? Finished with rads yet? You must be getting so close.
Lucy, Hi!!

I finished rads on Tuesday. Under my arm and the bottom third of my bad girl are black and crispy. Extremely uncomfortable... the burnt skin cracks when I move. But I am so glad it's done!

I had 38 treatments which some thought was extreme........not one problem......a ittle pink.....but that was it..........strange isn't it........and I am light skinned, althogh I tan and don't burn in the sun.........
8 of those were boosts too where they really hit you hard........
I used Aquaphor........Aloe Vera 100% pure.....I used it from day 1 which is what the techs told me to do.........they said don't wait for color to appear......start immediately.......not sure if that made a difference...........
So sorry you are having all that trouble...........
