duckyb - looks no different out my window here in Queens - lol. Could the problem you're having have to do with your internet service provider and the weather? I'm not having any problems after I log in.

Lucy, I don't change my password. I use the same one! haha I used to forget it so often, I had to write it down.
I was able to sign in right now without changing it. Progress!!
Ducky, I bet you're a darn good cook. Your menu sounded yummy! That picture looks like something that belongs on a post card. It's 81 right now where I am. Beautiful day today with a gentle breeze. I wish it could stay just like this all summer.

Ducky, what I heard works if it is slow, is: go ahead and type just a word or two. Then hit submit. Then, hit preview, and when that window opens, you can type there faster, thats what I heard another person on another thread say. Or, you could probably try the same thing with edit, after you post a couple words. Your snowy yard is amazing.
I almost never log out, but when I do, i havent had a problem, yet anyway.

Good grief! This thread has been busy lately. Too far behind to catch up.
Just wanted to check in. All is well. Eye appt today was good. Can stop the antibiotic drops. Follow up in 2 weeks. Lens will be check and then fitting for new glasses. Should be the last appt for this eye doctor. Back to my regular one in Oct.
Annual mammo on Monday. No worries but a pocket party would be nice. We all get anxious when this damn thing comes up.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
Hugs

jo1955 - good luck Monday. I hope you go to a place where they actually have a radiologist on site that reads them and tells you the results!!!
0 -
oh, now that I think about, I have all my old mammo films (all 46 of them), so I'm throwing them into the fire. They useless to me now!!!

mjh - The place I go to does have a radiologist on site but doesn't take the time to read them while I am there. I have to wait till my MO calls me. The radiologist is new to the facility and does have the techs do extra squishes on ladies who have had lumpectomies. They aren't so bad. Of course, I don't want any of them but we gotta do what we gotta do.
That is a lot of mammo films. Yikes! I would throw them all out too.

I don't do mammograms anymore.
Not one of my mammograms caught any of my 5 lumps.
So now I will only do ultrasounds.
My facility gave me a really hard time about that, but I stood firm.0 -
good for U slo
Stand firm
That's what U have to do to get anywhere with these drs
Otherwise they walk all over U
I'm glad we have 2 newbees here
They will learn a lot on what to do and not to do
Did anyone throw their films into the fire????.
I didn't..don't even no why...I never look at them
What am I saving them for???

First they scheduled the ultrasound.
I drove all the way there (an hour each way),
and they told me they couldn't do it without a mammo.
My question was, "Why did they schedule it in the first place?"
I was so irritated.
Then they told me to file a grievance.
Once it went through the grievance process, it was denied AGAIN.
So I said, "That is fine - I just won't do ANY testing at all. If it comes back, it's on you."
Then they called me back and said the ultrasound was re-scheduled.
They did a full ultrasound on both breasts.
If mammo had caught at least ONE of my lumps, I would have done it.
It made no sense to expose myself to extra radiation for a test that has failed me EVERY TIME in the past.0 -
slowdeep - I'm with you about the ultrasound and standing firm becasue unfortunately for us women all tests have a false negative percentage. My first mammo they said they couldn't get a clear read, 2nd mammo said the calcifications look funny which then led to three stereotactic biopsies on left, one on right. Accupath read all four biopsies as atypical hyperplasia. I knew in my gut there must be something going on. I told my BS that I wanted a BMX. She thought I was crazy. Just wait she said. We'll do a lumpectomy, I said if you do a lumpectomy on four sights I'm not going to have much of a boob left anyway (had small B's). She said you can see a PS if you want for a consult but before you do that let's get the slides from Acupath and have the hospital pathologists read them. Low and behold they said I had DCIS in left. BS then sent me for MRI to now make sure nothing else was going on. MRI showed nothing. After 46 mammo films I decided I had enough and no longer wished to have by boobs flatenened into panks or to be a pin cushion every time I had to go in for biopsy. Thank God I followed my gut and had the BMX because the final path ruled not only the DCIS in left but also LCIS and also DCIS and and LCIS in right. I'm still going to be worried every time I go in for an ultrasound now but at least no more squishing my boob into a pancake.

WOW. It IS a good thing you had the BMX. I don't even want to think what I may have lurking inside of me!

slow - didn't mean to scare you. I guess I was just trying to make the point of go with your gut and stand firm. This is your body and your health. The doctors at the end of the day forget about you when they're having dinner with their family.

No worries mjh....you didn't scare me. I agree - we should always go with our instincts.
Kracker.....OMG......My DH said you're his new best friend!!

Slow.. My IDC didn't show on my mammogram either.. Only calcifications.. So it was a lovely surprise when my pathology came back :-(

Oh no Lucy. What an unwelcome surprise!! Stinkin' squish-o-grams.
Kracker, Yes, it did go over big. My DH couldn't believe how simple it was, and how little ingredients were used. He is going to make some for my DD next weekend. I know she will love them!

Mammogram first thing in the morning. Everyone is welcome to the pocket party. Will post an update when I get back. I know I won't get results right away - will have to wait for a call from my MO. That's just the way they do things here.

Where i go you get the results immediately too............3 Dr's read it the first one checks, then the 2nd one looks at the film, and then if they are in agreement the 3rd Dr. checks next to make sure they didn't miss anything........if the first 2 disagree, then the 3rd Dr. checks to see who he agrees with........pain in the ass, but very careful about Mams......would still prefer a Ultrasound....Mamms don't get everything........
