VR-------thanks we could make a song out of pongs and bongs LOL

Leah----it's for a non-malignant brain tumor over the right orbit that was stable in size and is now growing. So, in order not to have it keep literally hanging over me, out it will come.

So please all of you that remember on the morning of the 27th throw this bugger in the fire. So, I'll be done with it. It's been like BC. Not a day has gone by that it didn't cause worry.  I'm tired of worrying.  I have to go and get a response from a friend re: giving it up to God. It was such a beautiful thought.

Yeah SAS, God is Good as we all know.  Someone posted on facebook this morning that if letting God be in control is like dancing.  If two people try to lead, it doesn't work.  One person gently leading, and one following makes the two as one, and the dance is beautiful.

So glad your dance is going so well!

    Love you always, gina

Sagina --what a beautiful thought-Yes at this moment, I am dancing with Him and he is leading L&H's sheila

With this thought in mind , I realize how much of the time I was trying to lead.

VR, SAS and to everyone here.  I am having LD flap surgery on April 18th.  Should be in the hosp for 2 days and really want to be home for my birthday on Saturday.  I will have 2 drains and will be home from work for about 10 days.  That is the part that is going to drive me crazy.  I am going to have to find something to occupy my time.  I do have lots of books on my Nook and there is a hand quilting project I can have ready while I am sitting around.  Nothing to throw in right now - going to the good side of the fire.

Ladies our unusually warm spring got me cleaning out my closet and I would love to combust a whole sack of pre-breast cancer bras that don't fit.  I have sexier, prettier replacements. While I'm here I can add the hoodies I bought for the drain pockets.  But mostly I hope you have a really big bonfire going for the book and literature on breast cancer the hospital gave to me.  I'm not burning that in some small campfire suitable for marshmallow roasting.  I need a big fire!

TwoHobbies - This is a big bonfire - I can feel the heat from all the stuff you have thrown in.  I'm sure you are feeling much better now - thanks for keeping the fire going.

Yeah truebff----------60 what a beautiful number. I hope andoray we al have many more beautiful numbers.

Too hobbies we haven't meet-HEllllooooooo. Happy you have found a place that gives you comfort. Yes, lets burn all those BC "Things" that make us unhappy. Let the fire reach the skies Let the sparks that fly rerpresent each item that may have helped us at one time, but now only brings back painful memories. Let us watch as each spark flies from the fire and burns itself out.

Badger thanks, you always show up when somthing serious is a brewing.  Bless you.

I love when the fire is hot and I see the smoke rising! That tells me that someone's heavy burden is being lifted up, up and away from their shoulders!

SAS, I'm still here, reading but not posting much.  Pretty contented with life these days so I'm usually over at the sweet fire.

I have a new mantra:  Find your calm.  Move forward from this place.

    truebff, happy early birthday.

Jo, best of luck for flap surgery.

VR, that was so well said.

Love this place, love you ladies!  ((hugs)) to all

It does feel good to throw out some of the reminders and try to move on with whatever this new life is going to be.  I love the image of a big bonfire.  Now that I've read a few more posts, I realize we can throw bad feelings and experiences too.  Oh I have a few of those!

OMG, Essa I was just reading back a page and it so reminded me of my old house.  Our neighbor was a landscaper and decided to burn all his brush and sticks in his backyard firepit.  And then when it was done burning, instead of putting it out they'd just leave it all day and the smoke drifted over to my yard.  I wish I had a good solution for you.  We were renting so we just moved!

TwoHobbiess - I used to go out in  the night to my neighboring homes where fires smouldered and haul with me a wagon of buckets of waater and douse them, if I could sspray it w a hose I would, like Smokey.  But if I dump water on or spray this OWB it would crack and not work, omg, he would shoot me, but it has crossed my mind.  Today a lovely day, walking dog and walked right into nasty smoke like he is burning trash this time.

edited to add.... TODAY ON THE FIRE I am throwing all the bumps and lumps on my face, arms, nect, chest that was exposed to the sun when our Suburban fuel pump went out an hour at high noon after my ultraviolet light therapy on Thursday, and I did not knoow not to take my iodine and thyroid so much with the therapy so that aggravated it too, so lumps and bumps onto the fire.  AND ONTO THE FIRE, the $700+ in vehicle repairs, rental car, extra fuel for the entire mishaps.  It was aa pre-owned vehicle we got November, so one can expect these major repairs to come for a time until it is properly maintained, so cannot complain too awful much but it still was a lot.

SAS - godspeed, we will be thinking of you.

INTO THE FIRE - the non-descript lists of breast cancer symptoms. Where were they when I need them, I wanted a real list.  So found a way to get it for others.  Started a new topic, hope all who will do share on this new list to help others see the possibilities and move quicker to have cancer tests and take their action to heal.  The new topic is here

Hugs to all of you, and special thoughts for Sheila, Jo, Essa, VR, DT, Badger, and all the old friends and new friends here by the fire.

    Hello ladies!

What a great thread! I'd love to throw a few things on the fire, if I may.

All of the pamphlets, appointment cards, and goodie bag items from my cancer center. My wig because it was a HUGE disappointment. A mountain of used prescription bottles and the half a forest worth of paper inserts from the pharmacy that accompanied all of those prescriptions. My daily aches and pains from the chemo (I'm one of the lucky ones that has extreme residual bone pain from chemo after it's over with). All the mirrors in my house that show a reflection that I don't want to see. My original radiologist who said (a year ago today, actually) my lump was "probably benign" and that I should return in 6 months for a follow-up (if I would've listened to him, I would've been Stage IV before the 6 month mark. I saw my PCP today who referred me to him and she said, "If you would've done what he said, you wouldn't have lived until Christmas with as fast as your cancer was growing."). My original surgeon who did the excisional biopsy, for his reluctance to remove the lump and for making me wait a month to do it--and then for letting me figure out on my own that I had breast cancer because of his behavior the day we returned for pathology results. The numerous people who have made insensitive or mean comments. My haul should keep the fire going for awhile. :)

Welcome LintRollerDerby - What is wrong with your radiologist and surgeon?  They should both be horsewhipped.  We do seem to accumulate a bunch of crap through this process don't we?  Visit here anytime you like - you don't have to throw anything in to visit every once in a while.  There are times we get the marshmallows out.

S'MORES...and I have "some more" fuel for the fire!  I have been at my new job almost 3 months now...after returning to the workforce after chemo, surgery and recuperation.  My company is terminating the contract with the facility that we are in.  That means next week me and my team are going to be UNEMPLOYED!  Into the fire goes my company president and the owner of the facility that we are in...hummmm...not sure which one to throw in first!!!  Hope they burn real slow and for a long time!

FLwarrior - Might as well start at the top since that is where the final decision most likely came from.  We will make sure they all burn slowly.  Hope you are able to find something else quickly.
