INSOMNIACS place to talk in the wee hours

Wench you sound upbeat and positive, good to hear that the drains do not bother you. I had them twice and was very happy when they came out.
I didn't have a lot of pain either after mastectomy. I had more lymph nodes removed after chemo and that was painful.
Loverly and Kath I don't understand why anyone would begrudge you posting on bco, especially if it brings you comfort and peace of mind. I sometimes think people just need something to complain about.
Kath the wedding will not be happening anytime soon, everything has been cancelled. He has a history of not following through with anything . His parents are fed up with him, as well as everyone else. I wish my daughter wouldmove on.

We just got back from my PS appointment. Everything looks wonderful! My drains have been pretty low the past 2 days, he felt they might have been clogged. After taking everything apart, cleaned and put back together they are working just fine. I go back to see him on Thursday afternoon, my FU with my BS is Thursday morning. PS says if drains keep going the way they are he'll pull them Thursday. I don't want them pulled to early as some ladies here have had that done to them just to have the drains replaced. Not this Chicadee!

Out with the drains. !!!

Wenchie, sounds fantastic.
Sorry to hear about Blondie, Chit.

Smaarty and Lover-will have to see about lunch on the 29th....been sort of in a funk. Oncotype score came back at a 30. When MO called to give me number, she said she'll be recommending chemo.....don't know what I'm going to do. My ER+ 8% changed to ER- and my PR- changed to a PR+. Appointment in tomorrow. Got some big decisions to make.
Hope everyone else is well. Sorry for the loss of Blondie. I didn't know her, but she sounds like she was great.

Hello Ladies;
Wenchie - So glad your recovery is going so well. I am envying your church family being so involved. Only one woman from my church even called and that was during the last week at rehab. Been thinking about finding a new church for awhile, but now am sure I will.
Sensi - Sorry to hear you're experiencing that difficult news.
Kathindc & Loverly - It's too bad your husbands are so clueless about your need for support from others who have/are walking the same path.
Jazzygirl - NO FAIR! You found your sandals. Very pretty manicure too. Still no luck here on the blanket.
Sheppie - How was the nap?
Lookie - I went to P.T. today and dang the muscles hurt as I walked to the bus stop afterwards. But, hip feels great. Just need the muscles to settle down. Fatigue from surgery is getting better too. Saw MO on Thursday and they checked my ANC. It was 2.01 before surgery, after being off the Ibrance 3 weeks. On Thursday it was still only 2.09 after being off the Ibrance 7 weeks. Would have thought the count would have rebounded better.
So sorry to hear about the wedding cancellation. Make him pay you back half the cost. It's the least he could do.
Smaarty - Have a good time on your trip.
Hey Chevy! 110 degrees is soooo wrong. I would never make it.
Welcome Judy!
Got to talk with my sister again last Friday. She shared some more info about my father, like his hobbies (grilling, cooking), favorite flowers (roses, carnations), color (green), etc. He also liked dogs. Had a Rottie mix named Sadie when he was killed. My sister was able to find her a good home with a family who lived in the country. She also shared the origins of her sons names.
Guess that is all for now. Until later!

Wenchie - health and healing to you.
LookForward - so sorry to hear of your DD's pain, I hope one day this will just be a small, hardly ever remembered blip in her life, but know that it does not feel remotely like that presently. Best wishes for your surgery.

LOL Jazzygirl!
Mom came home tonight and is doing very well. Thank goodness!
I'm still doing great although I need more naps, that's for sure!
I have FUs with both my PS and my BS tomorrow. My drains are down to 15ccs a day so I'm pretty confident they will come out tomorrow. YIPPEE!!
It would be nice if my path report was in tomorrow but I think it's way to early for that. I think with having my daughter and her family here has helped keep my mind off of that part. We'll see.
Jayce my 3 yo DGS asked me to go home with them, if it weren't for this BC I would have gone with him! He's my true buddy!! He remembers so much and it's like the months apart doesn't mean a thing to him. He walks right in and steels my heart without hesitation! It's like his face is as bright as the sun as soon as he sees me! We are inseparable!!
My pain level has been a little higher today and my feet are still swollen but nothing to really complain about!
I'll be back with a full report when I get home tomorrow afternoon
Hugs and Kisses to All!!

Where is everyone?
Well I am relieved there has been no more talk or photos of blue pee. JunieB! I am so shocked you were part of all that!
Lookie ~ Yay for a surgery date! Boo for the awful "boyfriend". That must have been an awkward birthday gathering for your DS. Glad it went okay. Can you change the wedding into a party instead so you don't loose your money? It could be a celebration of the disaster that was avertedMammaRay ~ Sleeping any better? Hoping you were able to have some fun while you were away!
Patty ~ Pain sux. When my meds aren't cutting it, I just start taking valium 'til I don't care. Sometimes it works...... Hoping for you to get some relief soon. Sending prayers for comfort your way. You have pics and videos of your travels to Essex? I've heard so much about that place - you need to post some pics for those of us who don't get around much
Susan ~ Hope your treatment went well and that you are having a comfy week.
Jazzy ~ You found your sandals! I envy those fancy toes of yours - such pretty polish! My DS played steel drum in school for several years. I love the way it sounds. The family all pitched in to buy him his drum; it was $600 or so. His teacher had a connection in Trinidad. The drum is beautiful but took about 6 months to get here. Awesome that your teacher can hook you up with a used one. You are going to have so much fun with it!
Chevy ~ That video of the Sound of Silence was really good. I hadn't heard that version. Beautiful. Excellent advice you gave about the Jekyll and Hyde tendencies of our mens. They can be such booger heads!
Wren ~ To see Simon and Garfunkel live and from the 4th row - wow! Art Garfunkel will be playing here in a few weeks. Not the same without Paul Simon. The tickets are $80. I will pass.........
Kath and Loverly ~ My FFH also hates me hanging out here. He is forever and always a fart face. And quite often a great big poop head. I look forward to the day I accidentally back over him in the driveway ten times............(shhhhhhh)
Wenchie ~ You sound GREAT! In your pocket for your appointments. I do a double take everytime you write about an FU and BS. Makes me think someone is ticking you off! Hope your pain fades away, your feet shrink down and those drains come out! How's your mom doing? Glad your family is there to help you both.
HiHo ~ Were you having scans this week? Keeping you in my thoughts and hoping for good news.
Sensi ~ You've been in Funky Town too? I've been back and forth myself. Wish I had some wonderful words of wisdom and comfort for you. Things get chitty and then they get better. (sigh) Hope your MO is able to help you figure out a good treatment plan - one that keeps you healthy and feeling good. ((((hugs))) You have Chance to snuggy and visits with Loverly and Smaarty coming up - that's some happy stuff
JunieB ~ Jazzy found her sandals, I just know your blanket will show up next! I continue to be in awe of your strength and fortitude. Just home from surgery and walking to and from the bus stop for PT? Amazing! Hope the hip stays happy and the muscles stop getting sore. Did you go see Tarzan yet? The Secret Life of Pets looks good too. I want to go see Finding Dory in 3D. DS and I both love 3D movies; I need to see if he wants to go. I'm so happy for you to be able to talk with your sister and have such great conversations! A sister and a friend - so wonderful
Sassy ~ Hope you're keeping your nose clean! (hee-hee)
DS got the report back from his gallbladder CT. All looks good. PCP gave him the option of following up with a specialist or to continue with dietary changes and see what happens. DS is going to wait and see. So far he has been feeling good. My foot is still swollen and colorful. I can now wear a sneaker without laces woo-hoo! It would probably heal faster if Marti would quit stepping on it...........
Yesterday FFH finally installed bars in the tub. One horizontally on the back wall of the shower and one vertically at the edge to get out. Still waiting on the dang ramp.
Off to try to sleep..........
Sweet Dreams to All!

Shep- Where is everyone? Hard to say. I have been busy working and still working, but home today which gives me the space and privacy to check in here.
I will say I have had lots of compliments on my toes this week! I even saw one of the providers on my project team looking at my toes under the table at a meeting. Or was he looking at my legs? Hard to know, lol!
I have my stucco guy (there is a guy for everything at this house it seems) working to patch and repair some areas today. Getting those summer projects done day by day, week by week. I should be out a couple weeks now from the new patio set arrival. Whoot whoot. Then I need to pick a day to have my par-tay in late August or maybe even Sept. I have not had a party here in a long time and feel this summer is the time to do it.
The weather here is so hot, Hot, HOT again. Monsoons came for a bit, but then disappeared. More files everywhere and the worst of all are about 30 tanks in the fracking areas up in the four corners areas that are on fire. Not just the smoke but the toxic fumes from petroleum in that area. NM is a hot mess right now.
Wishing you all a good day and feeling positive Junie will find her green blanket.

Loverly no Barbie boobs for me, but I wouldn't mind her waist.
Junie nice to hear you are up and moving, I bet it feels good. Sore muscles are annoying and let's hope your counts go up. Have you started any new projects. Itis wonderful that you have a connection with your sister, how far about are you in age?
Gangster of love, yeah for shoes and tub bars being installed. I bet that foot still hurts to walk on, especially when trotted on by Marti. Good news about your sons gallbladder. I thought I was having gallbladder attacks last year, but I was fine . Doctor said he sees this in breast cancer patients, it a build up of gas from treatments and surgery , the symptoms are the same, pain ,vomiting, etc.
Jazzy you are right about repairs to the house, we need to replace our gutters and are waiting for a estimate to be done.
My DD wedding was a destination wedding In another province, we just have accept the lose. His parents put the deposit on the house where we were going to stay and they are using that to meet family that are flying across the country for the now defunct wedding.
Sensi I feel bad that you are in a funk and we all go through it. Meeting the ladies for lunch would give you some needed support

Oh Ellen's so right. Pavlov conditioning.......chocolate
All lower extremities that swell should be elevated. Good to do at night, and one-three 15 to 20 minutes periods a day. At least above heart level. A bit higher if not uncomfortable(best).
No one has clot problems, right? Then do foot pumps---toe point then bring toe back towards nose. This milks those veins. Greater the swelling the more days it takes to get the swelling down.

Shep - I just don't know what came over me in regards to the blue pee thing, but I just had to do it.
Glad to see you finally have the bars in the shower/tub. Now who do you have to call to get that ramp done?
Backing over your FFH would not be worth it. I think you enjoy your freedom too much. Right? Besides Marti & Pris need you too much.
Tarzan movie was amazing. I have to admit the actor playing Tarzan is amazing too. Yikes! We're gonna go see Ghostbusters next Tuesday, but will wait for the Secret Lives of Pets & Central Intelligence to come out on DVD. I promised to cook dinner on the day we rent the DVD's. Something simple like a Fritatta & a salad.
Jazzy & Shep - May miracles NEVER cease! I found that green crib blanket I've been looking for! Bottom drawer in back of closet. Go figure!
Lookie - My sister will be 48 next month and I'll be 57 in December. So approx. 8 1/2 years between us.
Yes, it does feel good to be up and around. The first week and a half home I was sitting a lot and my legs swelled up bad. MO had me take Lasix for 3 days. Legs are better now, plus I am walking more. Also, P.T. did A-Stim on my right thigh today and that helped too. It really feels like the healing is rolling along quite nicely. My 6 week post-op is next Monday.
As to new projects, I have finished 2 of the crib blankets that will be part of the diaper bag sets I'll be doing, but at the moment I am knitting a pink crib blanket for a special order from a nurse at the rehab hospital I was in. Have to have it done by mid August, but am trying to get it done by August 1st.
Patty - Sorry your experiencing so much pain in your back.
Hey Susan, Loverly, Wren, Kath, Feline and Sassy!
Oh yeah, Smaarty too. Yes I remember you're on vacation. Hope you're having a great time.
Well off to bed to continue reading my book that is due back at the library next Tuesday. Sleep well dear ladies!

Been busy this past week. Had to see the APRN at the cancer center last week. Boring as usual on that front. Had a bit of bad news over the weekend though, one of my aunts passed away. Didn't even know she was ill.
